pictures like this just confirm my belief that video games and the internet are bad for society

the cane

ah hell naw

no because i just posted here back then too

Yes but everything turns corporate eventually. I miss how people were back then too (excluding the ponyfags)

i wish autistic girls were real

they are real. they just stick with dating people in their inner circle like normal traditional people. not the shite you see online. autismo girls are different from autismo guys. but, all autismoz enjoy familiarity and routine

Arcades still exist anon

Not enough :[

I actually miss the times when average gamers were kids and teenagers. Now it's fat and depressed 35 y.o. fucks complaining about censored costume in Stellar Blade. I have to hide my hobby because of them.

i hide my hobby because of other people

What's it like never leaving high school in your head?

goddayummmmm nigga above me. hold your horses

I broadcast every one of my fringe interests to the all of my coworkers, family, and acquaintances because video games is my personality and I'm convinced everyone is interested

The few friends you have are exhausted by you.

bringing gameboy to summer day-camp

trading games with the other kids

that one older kid who had a shitload of games so I could try out lots of stuff I had never played or even heard of before

It was kino.

the MLP shirt

uh oh
lee's gonna freak

Why do people just sit on the floor? That's so disgusting.

Yeah, but your choices are either

D&B and other large chain arcades, which are mostly just normie shit (phone games on a large screen) and rigged ticket games

or

barcades, which are full of 80s arcade games but also usually blasting loud music and have drunk normies everywhere

Not really.
It was getting kind of embarrassing there for a while

one kid stole my game so i called his house and his mom answered he got his ass beat and i didn't see him much after that

walk into gamestop

try to sell my gamesphere

they call the cops

Why are they like this?

he doesn't know that barcades closely resemble how arcades actually were in the 80s and 90s where normies hung out to smoke, drink, and blast loud music

you need to be 18 to post here btw

The few friends you have are exhausted by you.

Projection much? There’s a huge difference between what you said before and what you’re saying right now. Purposefully hiding what you do like a beta male is not the same as sperging out about your interests like an autist. I’m guessing you are autistic and treat conversations like math equations

What do you honestly expect from Americans?

he doesn't know that you need to be 21 to even enter barcades

You need to be 18 to post here, lil zoomie

Projection much?

reddit much?

zoomlet's adhd-addled brain can't actually parse the meaning of my message and just locked-onto the number 18

you are a fucking retard

Wouldn't be surprised if they were downloading an event pokemon or something and then not buying anything. People like that just come in and take up space.

that's a nintendo rep that clearly set up that table

Ironically, gaming became less and less social the more mainstream it became. All of the social aspects have slowly been chipped away by new people that are too offended to fit in yet too stupid/lazy to mute people. Now every game is dead silence with the occasional argument. Hell, even banter now feels less like trolling and more like actual angry people threatening eachother.

i remember pokemon gift events being held at gamestop. too bad most of the time they’re held at japan because the gaijin doesn’t deserve shite. i will never feel guilty for owning an Action Replay
i wish barcades had more early 2000s machines instead of just pinball machines & retro stuff only. it would be cool to play guitar hero while sippin my double brandy n coke

With so many games being online it's definitely more social now.

How so? They are just having fun.

It's no less social now, you just had friends back then who were into the same games you were. Any kind of "community" outside of your friend group is cringe anyway and full of insufferable self-important faggots, just look any kind of nerd convention.

Until you add ADHD. Then they're whores.

for me it was playing POKEMON LEAGUE TCG at books a million in 2000

haven't seen this picture in a long time kek

everyone gets doxxed and a thread on kiwifarms now so no reason to do that

most of the negative traits of autism, as in the things that cause you problems in your life, are simply not an issue for women.
if they r seriously autistic then it can be a big problem, turbo autism women r like the absolute worst, but the level of autism most people you see on this site would have only benefits if they were women.

Don’t most people have Austim now? Like if you forced the whole population to get ausitmo tests wouldn’t most have it?

This picture is showing the little in person interaction these types of people get.
If they miss out on this they become genuinely brain damaged socially isolated NEETs.

Not anymore. Never had any real friend, I was just a filler nobody.
Now I'm antisocial and I can't stand interacting with another human being if it's not getting something out of them or sex.

ADHD chicks are dime a dozen. hell, they don’t even have ADHD. they’re just chicks that got mindbroke from the West and its vices: dopamine-frying chemicals, toxic social media trends, etc.
hard truth but you know how it is. socially speaking, women always had it easy. there’s no changing that
nope. if you’re hyper aware of body language & how people talk, autistic people are very much different. ill talk about your average mildly autistic person. they have weird fixations, cant figure out sarcasm, talk too much, cant figure out social cues, and have a huge preference for routine

Can you get neet bucks for mild autism

there's got to be massive amounts of misdiagnosis' because they just ask you some retarded questions that virtually anyone would say yes to in passing, and then say you've got it.
I had a family member do a medical appointment over a phone call during covid, no prior appointments/tests/questions, got asked stuff like "do you feel the urge to put something off that you don't want to do?" "do you ever feel like going back to bed in the morning?", and within 30 minutes they were done and the doctor had told them they were depressed, had ADHD, mild autism, among other disorders, and wrote them like 4 prescriptions to immediately get filled and start trying out.
this is a person that had already had an bio-eng grad school degree and never has had problems socializing or acting like a proper adult.

No. I miss when we didn't even know that other gamers even existed.

Even so I really doubt she expected a bunch of older fags to just hover around.

Just because they can function and put up a front doesn't mean they aren't autistic, it just means they developed skills on how to behave around others and social conventions through exposure others more innately understand and probably still have some gaffs here and there.
People see me a very sociable talkative person who has no problems striking up others for conversations and always has interesting things to say, studied for a masters degree and opted to not get a phd despite being offered, works a good job, has a good amount of friends, and engages in a lot of social actives.
But I am absolutely autistic, its easy for people to see me as a normal person when I have worked on it for my entire life having been brought up with older siblings and many people at our house all the time as well as being thrust into social situations, add in that I pretty much always organize activities for social situations so there are things to talk about and to make it easier to socialize I come off a lot better.
A great example is I would very often struggle at family functions, for years I hated them and pretty much would just sit there doing nothing for hours, I ended up just spending the entire time dancing, when it came up people just thought that I liked dancing and was good at it (from practice) but I have never liked it, it is just a good cover. I also really honed in on converting conversations out of small talk, basically just a list of things I can ask people I don't really know that well or see that often when common small talk subjects come up, like when people start talking about the weather I just ask what they normally do when the weather is like this, if its sunny if they go anywhere and do something, if its stormy I ask if it stops them from going to do something or what they do at home, etc, it makes me seem a lot better at striking people up for conversations and making friends but it's basically just a script I have written.

I grew up with this person, they're not autistic. that aside, it was a 30 minute appointment where like a third of that must have been getting introduced, then administering and reviewing the questionnaire; it's a laughable amount of time before definitively saying someone has a handful of disorders ranging from severe to mild, let alone loading a person up on anti-psychotics and mood stabilizers.

if you’re lucky and slip pass the system due to lazy doctors/workers that handle said system, yes. but, most of the time only the severely autistic get neetbux. those guys are mega spergs that failed
this. there are a lot of misdiagnoses because society made a checkbox system for this stuff. i guess society made it like this because it’s easier to do and there’s so many people buying into this shite

How do you slip past? Juts keep an act on the whole time? What if you do something like stab your self a few times with a box cutter at work etc

Gaming is more social than ever now that the normalfags have taken over. It's the sense of community that I miss and the fact that gaming was its own separate thing.

Anon gaming is shit because its MORE social than its ever been

I believe you anon, idk this person so I can't comment, its fucked up how easy these things are to get. Its absolutely disgusting to just put people on medication that can do long term damage to them so easily.
But also my siblings have straight up said to me "you are not autistic" when its come up, my parents refuse to believe it, and even some long term friends of mine clearly don't think its the case as when some shit happens and I jokingly blame it on autism they will get annoyed and say i'm not autistic. I am diagnosed autistic, have been since I was kid, many people I know clearly can tell I am autistic, my partner pretty much soon after meeting her I mentioned I was autistic and she thought it was obvious from the moment she met me (she is also autistic) and its quite obvious to a lot of people. Some distance can it make is easier to see is what I am getting at.

Juts keep an act on the whole time?

Yes. I have a friend who did that and slipped past the system. I also hear many stories of people doing that

What did he do exactly? Did he Spazz? Or did he ply the quiet shy angle

"autism" has been sensationalized -- much like depression and anxiety to name a few examples -- to an umbrella term that does not encompass the spectrum that "autism" may or may not lie within.

there is quite a noticeable difference between a high-functioning autist who can navigate through day to day life yet has poor social skills, overthinks themselves, much like the blanket example given several posts above, and a low-functional non-verbal patient who has to been constantly monitored, has no freedom or arguably self-awareness, and cannot directly communicate through any means, operating on mostly instinct.

He did a very believable autistic sperg act. It’s hard to describe… but if you met a lot of irl autistic spergs, you’ll know what I’m talking about: avoid eye contact most of the time, speak oddly & loudly at the same time, autism hand posturing, etc.

I remember huddling with the boys over a tiny gameboy sp playing golden sun. Those were the days.

my siblings have straight up said to me "you are not autistic" when its come up

yeah, I'm not stupid enough to go there, plus it wouldn't have changed anything.
I don't believe it's an imaginary condition or anything like that, but I think it's become a popular convenient one size fits all excuse in recent years and the medical industry is all too eager and willing to take your cash and put it in writing.
