One job I had, someone that was clearly a 4ch user of some kind found out I played vidya and he never stopped bugging me about it. It didn't really bother me at first but it took over every interaction we had going forward as well as when I had to communicate or collaborate with other (normal) employees. It culminated in him basically forcing me and a complete normie girl to watch some youtube animation about Warhammer characters killing a bunch of furries (all because I off hand mentioned I knew of 40k, conventions, anime tropes).
