What can Capcom learn from Wilds hemorrhaging its entire playerbase in two and a half months?

What can Capcom learn from Wilds hemorrhaging its entire playerbase in two and a half months?

They'll just make the RNG rates worse

Because there is no new monsters.

inb4 just hunt Ray Dau for hundreds of hours bro

I am not that autistic

who cares?
i played the game, i had fun, i moved on, and ill be back whenever theres more to do

should have stayed on nintendo lol

Just go back to the MH style of 3u, 4u or GU.

Nothing, World was a fluke
It's the only good game in the franchise and they made it by complete accident
They couldn't even learn from World when they made its expansion since Iceborne basically ruined the game

NOOOOOO YOU MUST PLAY THE SAME GAME 24/7 FOREVER

casualized combat

streamlined quests

horrible "story"

dogshit endgame that amounts to killing arkveld 1,000,000 times to try and get a decent artian weapon to get a 7% damage boost

nothing to grind for

take away AT Rey even though the game has no content

dogshit SF6 collab NO ONE wanted

Wilds is to casualized and streamlined to have the staying power of a real MH game. At this pint their only hope is to have someone component make the expansion to try and salvage the game.

It wasn't casual enough and it doesn't have interesting crossovers like Marvel and Star Wars to make people excited to play more

Real niggas play these the older school way. Also massive install base just side-stepped by not being able to get it on Switch. They will release a Switch 2 version as fast as they are able from desperation.

but people still play worlds and some actually came back you're just a mindless consumer.

big marketing

unreasonable amount of retards who buy it at full price

What else do they need?

Runs like shit

Destroy replayability in a franchise known for it

Replace with gay AAA movie game shit instead

People stopped playing a bad game? I'm truly shocked

people still play worlds and some actually came back

and ill come back whenever wilds gets an expansion like world did
explain to me why i should give a fuck;

Who the fuck still plays Worlds? Like dude when I'm maxed out my favorite weapon and I've got the perfect build, I get bored after a few kills and hang it up.

Where's this weird culture come from that you need to play the same game like it's a fucking job?

Why waste time on low or high rank when you can wait for G-rank.

Tokuda and Ryo killed monster hunter if you want the series to live never give it back to them.

who cares
i still have investigations for each monster with guaranteed gem drops

Where's this weird culture come from that you need to play the same game like it's a fucking job?

I don't even play MonHun, but this is so true for gamers nowadays, like everybody has to hyperfocus and become good at this one single game. I think it's mostly a zoomer thing though, alphas have already moved on to the shittiest mobile games imaginable.

make it demanding to run

make it short

make it easy

make the drop rates so generous that any grind left just disappears

Forget the game’s quality or lack thereof, there’s no reason to keep playing if you run out of things to do in a week.

Because Capcom wants people to but this shit.

MHWDLC.jpg - 1133x839, 114.37K

not my problem

Because it only took me 50 hours to beat high rank

In any other monhun that would be maybe just enough to beat low rank

I'm at 200 hours in mhgu and haven't even hit g rank yet

And its not just one thing, i could forgive it if it was that but its monster hp too low, drop rates too high and not enough monsters in the base game. I'm completely fine with wounds so long as monster hp gets buffed

youre delusional. rise was around 30 hours to finish every at its launch.
world was longer only because of mandatory quests such as the ones where you have to keep on hunting the monster until you filled the research meter enough.
either, good thing you didnt like the game. hope a faggot like you remain filtered.

IMG_1209.jpg - 3840x2160, 1.49M

Wilds without cutscenes and walking sections would be what? 10h?

I didn't play rise until sunbreak, that was around 170 hours for low and high, then another 100 for master

You probably skipped village and went straight to hub faggot

That they already made their money anyways, and can go limp on post-release support faster.

Should've let the game cook for longer so that base game could launch with more content. I'm NOT picking the game up again just to farm Artian weapons or to slap Soap Fox around, and time-limited events are wack.

Worldsborne has grank and thus triple the content. Are you an Icesperm so you don't realize how this happens with basically every base game?

I dont even know if i'm coming back with DLC to this game. This turned from my most anticipated game of the year to.. i finished the main story and i dropped it at rank 20. When Mizu was added, which is one of my favourite monsters, i entered the new zone and then logged out. I've been playing since the psp days and World was one of the most pleasant MH experiences i had

They are changing Monster Hunter to me more of like a live service game to get more people to buy that dlc. Maybe you can enjoy this slop, but many others can't.

Ichinose x Suzuki need to return for g-rank or else the series is doomed. Tokuda shouldn't touch the series, Ryozo needs rehabilitation therapy before he's allowed to return too.

Maybe they should've spent less time on railroad story segments where you don't get to control your character or fight monster and less time on the dynamic weather system that has no actual effect on gameplay.

This is the biggest problem with this discussion.
You guys are comparing base Wilds to games that already have years of support behind them. Wilds ain't that far ahead from past MH titles in terms of content when you compare their base versions.

There is literally no reason to play it more than to get to the end to jump to the G rank expac when it comes out. Everyone knows that.

Took everyone I knew from 50 to 70hrs to do base rise + a basic armor set and crafted decoration, and that was before they released the dos trio.
Hell you wanted an almudron ruby for the razorsharp set that was 5hrs added to your grind time because it was so fucking low %, same shit with goss harag weapons and that stupid fucking bile drop.

Casualizing the mechanics to the extent they did allowed people to breeze through everything even if it's similar content density on paper.

This was actually a huge improvement, everyone got to enjoy the good parts of Wilds without the autistic tedium

They learned that they just need to release another cookie cutter Resident Evil remake to get in the good graces of the public before releasing more abysmal dogshit

go back to playing or pretending to play your chink shilled unreal slop game, faggot.

normies find out MH sequels are basically the same game they already played for 400 hours

yeh

You're replying to a butthurt discord spammer(99% also a tendie) that keep making these anti-capcom threads
Everyone who actually play these games always went back to older games, either while waiting for updates or G rank
This also happen when people wait for the next game, we had a mhg frontier server and few people went to play dos while waiting for sunbreak and wilds release(it also generated an absurd amount of butthurt from risefags, and it's easy to guess why)

They should LEARN to put way less development time, effort, and budget into a story that not a single person has actually praised and instead work on making the end game systems functions prior to the DLC.
Both Worlds and Rise did the same shit: The games launched relatively barebones and then took like 12 months of updates + Expansion + Tip to then have an end game grind system. The problem is that this time the story is even more deeply involved and the game further dumbed down and they STILL couldn't give us functioning end game.

Thoughts on Wild Hearts not being dead?

This is some seriously deranged copium, getting real Indian vibes too

personally waiting for denuvo removal

There's not gonna be crossplay with the pc version so I can't really care about this. It's just a switch port.

It's just a switch port.

This version adds 4 player co-op instead of 3. I'm wondering if they'll update the other versions of the game.
I wonder how much better it'll run after that's removed.

Kill yourself

Obviously they need to focus more on the story and characters, add another dozen hours of cutscenes and mandatory walk and talk sections, that'll get people to come back

Original at launch? Yes
Current? No, it has a lot more things

I'd love for them to update the pc version but I'm pretty sure they exhausted their potential customer base on all next-gen consoles + pc so they probably have little incentives to update.

We need to make it ever more casual!

The oddest thing to me is that I've noticed the game sits at $70 still on Steam but as gone as sale to like $6. Why not lower the base price too if they're going to basically give it away?

You can't skip village. You need to do village quest to do the high rank hub "village" quests and the village quests are the ones that give you the original ending cutscene about purple fart cat. You can do these quests very fast and if you are very good, like a monhun vet, you can do the village quests in a few hours.

I’d be more worried about yourself if I were you, you are mentally ill

KT doesn't do that lol. They've got 10yo+ titles still sitting at 60 bucks on the store. They'll do sales but never touch the base price. Jap management is an enigma to the rest of the world.

No, I don't think I will Ranesh

lets see your A rank arena hunts bro.
or show us your leet skills on a under 10 minute solo tempered mizu or gore or arch tempered rey dau.
nah, youre just a seething faggot shitter who shills shit games while trying to stir a negative perception of the based nippon. youre a relentless faggot and all your posts come from AI.

only retards buy the non "ultimate" version and burn themselves doing the same low/high rank content

he says, when he replied to me "cope+jeet" because i pointed out that these threads are made by a bunch of shitposting animals

Are you RETARDED or just pretending.
They don't want people playing one game for 5 years.

I've posted this before, but one of the reasons is the new players that World attracted are not yet used to the Monster Hunter cycle. That is, start game, play for hundreds of hours, reach the peak of master rank, all to start over again in low rank, and forever feel underpowered (sometimes even hunting the same monsters as the previous game) until the new game's master rank eventually releases. The bar was set so high by Iceborne, Alatreon and Fatalis that starting over from bone weapons was something most new players weren't accustomed to yet.

Also, there will never be another Monster Hunter like World. It took the West by storm, some could say that it even released under the perfect set of circumstances. Wilds obviously tried to replicate that success, and it did judging by how fast it sold. For a lot of people, this is the first time they had to start from scratch, and they may not be able to sink in hundreds of hours twice. Some might not even have been prepared for such a change, considering that they mistook MonHun for a live service game. I believe the reason that 2/3 of the roster is new is precisely because Capcom didn't want World players to fight the same monsters all over again in low rank. All things considered, Wilds sold ridiculously well and fast, and has around 100k active players on steam alone.

Using myself as an example, I had 2000 hours on Freedom Unite, my first MH game. Then 150 hours on Freedom 1, 300 hours on P3rd, 1200 on World (the big comeback) and later 200 hours on Rise. I currently have 150 hours on Wilds and I expect to have 250 by the time master rank is out.

I believe this and the fact that a lot of PC players can't run it, as well as the objective drop in difficulty is part of the reason why Wilds doesn't seem as active as World was.

Play the older games.

image-125.png - 1918x1439, 2.46M

Waltuh. Put your babel spear away waltuh.

Go back to the roots like they did with Sunbreak

I'll just stick with 3U, 4U, GU, and Sunbreak until P6th comes out.

Kek exactly the same as with DD2

You didn’t “point out” shit, you had a schizophrenic meltdown

1) Don't release a broken game
2) Don't remove so much friction that your game becomes boring

Wilds platinum takes like 50h. The artian weapons you could grind for all eternity but you quickly get something decent enough. Even if I don't take vanilla worlds padding into account getting platinum there took infinitely longer with jewel grind if you wanted. Launch rise platinum was also much more time consuming and there you also had the option to grind for a god charm. From the modern MH games wilds is by far the shortest.

what good parts?

What does any of that have to do with the brainless structure of the game?

you're schizophrenic

ignore the fact that someone is making the same thread about wilds playercount multiple times per day, with the same posts, just shuffled around

and it's totally not done by a bunch of perpetually online discordfags

what's next? Are you gonna call me eric?

No shit, the game is far far worse and that's a fucking accomplishment because world was pretty rough around the edges before the updates and iceborne.

I've played the game for many hours already, there's nothing new to see.

everyone in this thread must be shot

Make a game that's not Monster Hunter into the mainline of the series

it dies

Huh. Weird. Hopefully Capcom releases the old MHs on Steam one day so we can enjoy the actually good games.

It would be pretty rad if they released a monster hunter anthology like what they did for Megaman Battle network but it's never going to happen

cheap out and "collab" with its own company dead fighting game

13.2447.jpg - 512x512, 25.26K

People who just started playing? Just because you’ve already no-lifed a game for thousands of hours doesn’t mean everyone has. New people are picking up World and Rise because of how many times they go on sale for dirt cheap, and it’s important for communities to still be alive for those games so newer players can find others to hunt with. Nobody wants Monster Hunter to turn into a “Discord fighter” where you’re just playing with an ever-dwindling pool of veterans, which is what Wilds is quickly turning into.

a monster hunter anthology

There are two of them. MHFU and MHGU. One of them is shit though, and it's not FU.

They don't really need to because ultimately it's mostly about having all the monsters in one game. If they manage a good number of locations on top of that, you'd get the perfect MH game.

I dunno about that, they could put every monster into Wilds and it would still be less interesting than fighting them in their original games

It just doesn't feel good to finish the quest when you become so strong mechanically while monster remain kind of the same. Great Sword used to feel good to land big hit because how ASS the movement is but, now even toddler youtuber can do it

lel.jpg - 168x300, 5.4K

People will only tolerate the godawful performance for so long

The never ending fucking story tired me out by the 30th hour or so. Just go back to quest boards and let me actually play the game.

World is a complete game

Why were there no articles when monster hunter wilds lost 95% of their playerbase less than a month of launch?

Have to wait for the next Ichinose game to get a MH with a normal structure.

MH is meant for gameplay and hunting monsters not 20 hour story with nothing else to do

Where's this weird culture come from that you need to play the same game like it's a fucking job?

This. Holy shit I know it's tinfoil hat to believe that shills troll game forums, but I have to believe these GaaS stans that think everyone should play the same game forever are being paid. You beat a game, you move on to the next one unless you're some poorfag that can only buy like 4 games a year.

There's a lot of things they could learn but instead they will decided they didn't push the parts people disliked hard enough.
The expansion will be even easier, with even more plot, with full sets of armour completed even faster, woker too.

And yet if it has underwater I'll buy it anyway

lot of monster and location in one game

Frontier?

Worldbabs only play World, who could've guessed

But I've already played 3U to death.

SOS ruined the multiplayer.

Good
I hope capcum steers clear of this drip fed cum retard faggot content.
Stop making LE GRAPHICS games.
Stop making drip feed micro transaction bullshit as an attempt to bolster "player retention" statistics.
Release big updates a couple times a year if you're going to do anything. And fuck right off if you're not doing anything substantial. Release your God damn game in full you fucking faggots.

i have 300h on in and im coming back after i finish rise

graphics

This is also a big deal. Steam's hardware survey says that only like 20% of the install base can run Wilds on low. This means that you are likiting your own buy base HARD by making it poorly optimized garbage.

Which of the older MonHuns are worth playing the most? For whatever autistic reason I really enjoyed the OG on pcsx2. Freedom was kinda boring with the lack of weapon moves or I just got filtered. Currently keeping Generations Ultimate as a sidehoe game on the gamegirl.

It's crazy how cancerous matchmaking functions are
All human interaction is instantly nuked

There’s 23k people playing world right now on Steam and 39k playing wilds.

People will hate you for speaking the truth.

The true monster hunter killer! The one thing Wilds should have stolen wasn't.

They completely killed bowguns, I quit.

God damn wilds fucking sucks

Heavy bowguns feel like shit, being pigeonholed into shields and counters. Light bowguns have this weird "press to shoot more for free" gimmick that I don't like.

Can someone please tell me why they removed the recoil reduction, reload reduction and regular ammo crafting mechanics? I know they were trying to streamline everything but man they took away too many things that made the bowgun interesting.

Not enough story and cutscenes to sustain long term engagement, also the game is too confusing and needs to be streamlined. Mh4 to World is the gold standard for the amount of streamlining we need, they only managed 30% of that leap and people just aren't interested. Nobody wants to slog through the same shit again without significant QOL improvements

I only got around 120 hours out of Wilds before I started to get bored. Usually I can get 500 hours out of a MonHun game easy and I mean just the Low Rank version, G-Rank it goes over 1000 hours.
Normally I'd have multiple sets with at least 5 or 6 different weapons that I'd regularly play with but Wilds has one significant issue that other MonHun games don't have.
The combat is not satisfying. The Monster sound design is bad. The roars are bad. The music is mediocre. The weapon sound design is thin and hollow and boring. The lack of hitstun makes the combat faster at the cost of it feeling weightless floaty and unsatisfying. The hunts are so much shorter feeling. The maps are all just okay but there is almost zero environmental advantage or variety to different locations, there is so little shit to climb, jump off of, get thrown into, ceilings to climb, at the most you might have a location with one of these and maybe a little hill you can slide down.
For me the gameplay loop of a MonHun game was enjoying the actual combat, that isn't the case anymore.

Overcorrections, bowguns were way too strong in Rise so they nerfed them into hell even to the point that they just aren't fun to play. Spread bowguns were so fun AND strong in Rise so they made them completely useless. Bizarre game design.

Nothing they can do about it, mhw was the first monhun game for a lot of people making it a mystical experience to explore the areas and fight monsters. Now that they have done that once, wilds is just more of the same for them and not as mystifying, also the game runs like ass unlike worlds

Isn't that the point of bowguns? you're strong but you explode if the monster actually touches you? Also wasn't the bow just as strong?

Waiting for Layered Weapons.

Zoomer's low attention spawn.

I havent beaten Fatalis yet, I sometimes think about going back and trying. But i played ChargeBlade and fuck soloing Fatalis with a chargeblade

FU, 3U, 4U, and GU are all worth playing, pick whichever looks most interesting based on the roster and gameplay gimmicks (or lack thereof with FU)

Digits

Don't intentionally gut the game so you can release it back to players in the form of TUs for a start. Also make an end game that isn't complete garbage. Fuck the shitty weapon crafting system.

Worlds

Are you guys being retarded on purpose?

grinding out muh minmax build is done in no time

dont have to detour to grab items or track clues to find the monster, just autopath

genuinely one of the worst gearing options ever

no player economy on the level of the old games so less preparation or incentive to prepare for stuff

theres less to do, and no reason to do anything other than autopath to the monster, autowalk to the monster, and kill the monster
Also the game runs like shit for most people im assuming

they'll learn that their audience is full of goycattle retards that will jump on any FotM bullshit no matter how much content is lacking

That nobody cares about your autistic stupid story.

It's their most profitable MH game
casualization was worth it. a forced story was worth it. to them.
hardcore players that stay around for years are not the core audience.

The game has no endgame whatsoever. It didn't even have a hub until TU1. Clearly rushed and unfinished.

What is that reverse-french subhuman language?

Game was cool but the endgame sucked.

Removing recoil and reload reduction makes complete sense is you want balance newgen gunning. Being able to minimise them to the point where they become non-factors is what made them completely overtuned to begin with and reducing the rate of fire is a better (and more interesting) way to go about it rather than just reducing the damage shots output, which has its own issues.

I don't disagree they were heavy handed with it, but this tearing off the band-aid approach at least means they can add the means to maybe reduce these characteristics or change the gun parameters in general in a more restrained manner.

True, gamers who aren't buying the new product are fucking insane. What's the point of playing something you enjoy? It's a mystery.

Needs more vore tbqh desu tb.h senpai sen pai

Oh no
anyway
does anyone know how to get iceborne community edition installed on a linux system?

genstall intoo

You're acting like oldgen bowguns were much different besides the fact you can move and shot with new gen guns. Old guns were still really strong. They removed it for the sake of simplification without thinking of the consequences of doing so. Spread so dog shit now, pierce is just for farming gauge and only normal and elemental is worth using.

There's just nothing for me to do anymore honestly. I got the "perfect" artian weapon pretty quickly and I finished my sets already. Now it's just waiting months in-between title updates and honestly the initial monsters they picked isn't very exciting to me. I've never really cared about Mizu and I was already sick of fighting it in Rise. Lagi is alright since it's been awhile but getting two similar monsters back to back is lame. At this point I might just not pick it back up until G rank

As someone with a HR20 and MR20 Hunter with a lvl300 Anomally Research, i can assure you Village quests are 100% optional along side a bunch of urgents.
Only thing you lose from not doing is one or two dango flavors.

You forgot

unoptimized piece of shit

REngine was a mistake. I don't know why they keep using an engine that struggles with open world games when MT Framework ran without issues.

waste one gorillion yen in development costs on the shitty seasons system

it's totally worthless and you also make the most streamlined campaign of all time so you don't even spend any time in the world

Genius game direction right here.
Milds the asshole that keeps on shitting.

This is how you spot a worldsperm casual from a true MH fan who has 1k+ hours on their favorite titles.

The previous MH handled open maps just fine on RE Engine, and MT was collapsing under World already.

They won't learn anything. The next game will be a more exaggerated version of Wilds.

Uh, they're completely different

Can't move and shoot

Can't move and reload

Skill economy meant stacking reload and recoil reduction speeds wasn't viable and you'd have to actually play around the gun's parameters

Couldn't reduce rapid fire recoil at all

Rapid Fire was LBG's best damage skill but because it meant you shot one more round per ammo, the animation commitment increased significantly

Ammo in general being more limited and eating into your inventory space

This meant that on a fundamental level, gunning had higher animation commitment, demanded more deliberation and still felt plenty risky to play despite playing from a greater distance. Yeah, they were strong but you couldn't just play them mindlessly, you had to be careful not to overcommit and reloading would require conscious timing.

Meanwhile in 5th gen you would circle strafe and shoot without a care in the world. It was an oversimplification. I don't entirely agree with Wild's implementation either, but it's sure as hell closer to how things should have been.

I know this has been discussed to death but I simply can't stand how the game plays with focus mode. It's like every wep is baby difficulty now with 0 commitment because you can just do a 180 mid animation on basically every move. This feels very NOT monster hunter to me.

had higher animation commitment, demanded more deliberation and still felt plenty risky to play

this is literally the same fucking case for every weapon now, retard
or are you going to tell me wilds' perma i-frame SnS is "just like the old games" too?

It's funny how they wanted to bring back the season system from Dos without any of the actual nuance from that system like certain areas being inaccessible and items that are accessible changing.
As well, the season just switching based on quest kills the feeling of it as well.

No, because we're talking about guns, dumbfuck. Stay on topic.

looks like shit
runs like shit
plays like shit
game released in early access
updates taking too long
features from previous games removed
bugs from previous games reintroduced

UMM THEY NEEDED TO NERF BOWGUNS BECAUSE THEY WERE TOO EASY

Every weapon is easy now

DOESN'T COUNT

Disingenuous nigger, either the standard is applied to every weapon or it isn't, you don't get to pick and choose to suck jap dick.

looks like shit

runs like shit

These two really pissed off all my friends. Several people played the beta and just intended to not buy the game after. These were people with 30 series and up GPUs and good CPUs and they could barely run the game. What the fuck was Capcom thinking?

they probably dropped any season mechanics when they realized all people would do is join people in different seasons to farm, rendering them completely useless.

What the fuck was Capcom thinking?

Two nukes weren't enough.

What the fuck was Capcom thinking?

these retarded gaijin will buy dog shit in a bag, so lets sell it to them!

You misunderstand, retard-kun. It's not about "nerfing bowguns" but more about not making them completely mindless circle strafe slop. I've already said multiple times that I think Wilds went to far with the intent (because it IS an overcorrection), but because it's far easier for you to be angry at people on a Taiwanese basket weaving form, you somehow interpret this as a glowing adulation.

B-b-but other weapons get to be easy!

Yeah and that's a problem too.

Now go slip in a shower and don't (You) me again.

World and Wilds are both bad games, and Wilds being as bad as it is is mostly due to World.
Not solely the fault of World, but mostly.

With both of these it was story first and game second. Just chock filled with garbage that gets in the way of actually playing the game because they want an immersive movie game with a bunch of half finished ecological systems to appeal to normalfags. Seasons? Weather? Alpha pack monsters? Maps being interconnected? Just there as dressing basically. They are the Zorah Magdaros of Wilds.

At the moment the hardest thing in Wilds is fiddling with its retarded menus while looking for someone to leech investigations off of. Since the retarded devs love the idea of RNG controlling what monster you get to fight.

Focus mode good, but monsters not designed around it. Huge uptime and no whiffing = 3x dps = fast hunts.
Monsters need to have bigger health pools and need attacks programmed in to react to you just riding away to heal. Birb needs a dodge to react to this.
It would help if they'd add 3-5 monsters missions or a mode where you hunt a single area for an hour and every 5 monsters slain spawns something special. Give ppl something to do. The armor abilities need a complete overhaul because evrything but 8 pieces isn't used.

The game was made with influencer-marketing in mind first and foremost. Gaming youtubers and streamers have free top-end GPUs sent to them by sponsors.
The beta was a marketing fumble, and the benchmark tool was failed damage-control.

Removing Hunt-a-Thon is the stupidest shit ever

I put in ~1300 hours between Worldborne and Risebreak, haven’t even bought Wilds.
The story focus looks gay as hell. The game runs like shit on PC and it’s ugly. Everyone says it’s too easy.
I want to HUNT MONSTERS. I want them to be challenging and I want there to be a lot of them. I want the game to run at 120 FPS at 1440p on my 4070. I want the lategame armor skill system to be diverse and fun.
IDGAF about teaching some brown kid to not be a fag.

Capcom has always had those ridiculous DLCs for PC

I'd be playing the game more if it didn't crash so much

Except none of the changes in wilds made the guns any less "completely mindless circle strafe slop", you retarded fucking ape.
In fact it did the opposite. LBGs are now exclusively long range rapid fire shit since anything that isn't elemental or pierce is useless (which reinforces the "circle strafe" gameplay) and HBGs were so trashed and gutted of any options that the optimal gameplay was fucking Seikret mounting.
But that would require you to actually play the fucking weapon instead of being a faggot on Anon Babble who thinks he's smart. You are just as much of retarded nigger as the jap in charge of the weapons in Wilds. Kill yourself.

But I am playing GU. It's just that my faggot friends barely go online these days, I just want to fight Nerscylla and Deviants with the bros

How the hell did I even replied to this
Meant for

Fuck this I'm going to bed

Don't make monster hunter games. It's a degenerate series. And a waste of a good engine. Also don't downgrade such a good engine and assets to appease idiots demanding more resolution.

Capcom

Learning

Ever since they listen to western "consultants" they been speedrunning their own collapse by making the worst most retarded decisions ever.

Also IDK if anyone has actually noticed but every monster has the exact same attack pattern where nearly all of their attacks have a 5 second wind-up where they just stand there then the actual active frames for the attack are 300ms with no animation tell making them unreactable.

Harder to fuck around with in cheat engine.

Ah, the 'parry bait' mechanic

That they cannot keep releasing a game without Grank, it is not acceptable any longer.

I replay each Monster Hunter game. Once I finish G rank I go to another game and restart it and go back through all the village and hub quests. I hate (((end game))), I hate (((being strong))), I love the progression of being far weaker than the monsters.

The result of that would be the most empty G-rank in series history and a Low Rank that lasts all of 5 hours
Capcom, at their most base nature, are lazy

People bitch constantly about Rise being a parry spam game but its so much more egregious in Wilds with the game being built around the extremely long active frames of offset attacks, and it is only going to get worse in G. I guess most people really did drop the game after 10 hours.

I'm one of the people that hated the countering in Rise and SB but I there I could slot in something else. In wilds all the crappy counters are baked into the weapon move sets and it sucks.

The big difference that nobody ever points out is that the majority of parries in Rise are optional and can be unequipped, whereas all of Wilds' parries are permanently baked into the weapon movesets.
Also, risemons have way harsher punishes for whiffed parries or even sometimes successful ones.

Doesn't matter, people will buy it anyway.
The series is mainstream now, you didn't gatekeep hard enough and now it's no longer made for you.

world was less casual and still held more players for longer

Bro they can't even make deadlines for a high rank game anymore.

I only half mind it in wilds. Some parry slop is allright but they overdid it. Some weapons shouldn't have one at all, like glaive, why has the helicopter bugstaff an offset hit? And the nothin personal sheath parry of longsword is easymode. Parry, meter, reposition, easily timeable and huge active frames... Should also suck my dick and make me breakfast while theyre at it. Many need tweaks because they are far too easy to hit. But like most additions probably not too horrible if they wouldn't have forgotten to design the monsters around it.

there's nothing to do, there's nothing to hunt, all armors look like shit, all weapons look like shit, all maps look like shit
how did they fuck up this bad?

reminder that they also started selling weapon skins in rise.
probably doing that in wilds too at some point after the G rank expansion

why has the helicopter bugstaff an offset hit

People bitched. Like the removal of friendly fire. It's like the (main?) MH team doesn't even know what kind of game they want to make

Some weapons lost their whole gameplay flow. SA in SB is so smooth with all the morphing but in Wilds it feels like an alternative version to GS that is now yet another counter focused weapon. The weapons without shield and no or bad counters are literally the most unique ones. I dont even see a reason to pick up another shield weapon after I played one.

I just hope they bring back underwater hunting. The swimming animation is already there they just gotta expand on that and make it more fluid. I would like to see the return of Lagi, Mitsu, Ceadus, Gobul, Plesi, and fighting those Octopus monsters underwater would be much cooler.

Oh, Tokuda has made it quite clear in interviews that he wants MH to be all about the spectacle and story at the expense of the gameplay.

The game never even got optimized after all these months. Capcom wasn't lying when they said they did everything.

Yamatsukami and Narkakos get added back on with unique underwater attacks and behavior

A man can dream

Explain SA in Sunbreak

What was so different with morphing

Maybe next time don't fuck with the long running formula AND release an obvious early access game

Release a finished game next time.
I fucking hate title updates.

Do you guys think I have time to play Worlds for the first time and come back in time for Wilds expansion?

The entire game is a low effort high return adhd normalfaggot garbage
The combat has none of the limitations and skill, the mons deal no damage and die in 2 minutes, and you don't need to farm anything, they easily give you all you want.
I swear Capcom is returning to Crapcom nowadays, it just feels like they are getting talked to the ear by their western branches and shittyfying all their games for the "wide audience".
This game is flop for Capcom, they sold well initially thanks to World, but it got such a bad word of mouth that it won't get anywhere near it, not only its legs will be short, but the dlc is going to sell much worse and the next game too.

The morphs had a lot of mobility built in so with rapid morph you could constantly play around the monster. Of course this didn't replace dodging but being aggressive while getting around hits by purely moving without iframes felt great. DBs in Wilds are similar to this but not 100% on par.

Yeah. Besides the wilds expansion is gonna have the same issues. Don't bother with it until saffariborne is in title update 2.

Definitely
World took forever to finish its vanilla content and then even longer to release the expansion
Don't be a sperg and use Defender or Guardian shit or skip content with powercreep TU monsters

Its WORLD you faggot. What with everyone collectively becoming retarded?

And yes. Wilds' expansion likely won't be here for another year minimum. Plenty of time. And take off Defender equipment ASAP.

SF6 collab

Of fucking course. The second era of Crapcom is truly upon us.

It's like the (main?) MH team doesn't even know what kind of game they want to make

I'm so worried that the itchynose game is gonna suck too.
This could be the worst generation of monster hunter.

Crapcom never left, they got lucky with the RE remakes and 7. If you played 4 remake you would clearly see Crapcom are incapable of learning.

Should've optimized the game better.

Ignore retarded west trends, like trailing missions in your fucking open world game. Rise had it right

rise had it right

yeah, what we need more rampage quests instead

Rampages are better than railroaded walking sections.

Oh, don't misunderstand me: rrarded tower defense mode is aids, but the story missions that didn't interrupt explorwtion and didn't out you on rails was the way to go. I enjoyed Rise's story way more than the boring ass mediocre movie of a brown little shit being a chosen one or some crap, idk, i skipped all of that shit cause it annoyed me

Then why is the story SUCK
