It was fun, battlefront 3 needs twice the players per server and better anti cheat. As I was scrolling tiktok the normies was commenting on random videos the hashtag in the OP picture #makebattlefront3 so I guess the star wars fortnite stuff and tv series have invigored some zoomers.

You know some redditor calculated how long it would take to unlock the two heroes available at launch and it was about 80 hours for both, so itd definitely take more than a few days unless your playing the game nonstop without sleep, and that was just for the heroes.

It usually coincides with some shitlike may the 4th and Arc Raiders being made by some of the same devs obviously.

It has a very mid campaign and some decent bot content. Also an excellent co-op mode which is only 4 players.

Let's be real 80 hours is nothing, I don't know if that was true, and you didn't have to unlock them as you got plenty of heroes for free, like how long does it take to unlock a golden skin in call of duty? But sure adding some long ass grind for something you can pay for incentives them to prolong the grind, but a lot of replayability of games are tied to ingame items you work for or achievements, skins etc, it's part of the game loop

Their exclusivity contract came at a time when mobile games skyrocketed in popularity and console/pc game development costs/time exploded. They released like a dozen shitty mobile games, only 1-2 are still going at this point, and then tried to capitalize on battlefront being the central pillar of multiplayer and fallen order being their single player pillar. The problem was battlefront 1 had no depth and battlefront 2 had a shit progression system. Battlefront 2 eventually got somewhat fixed, but the damage was done and they moved the dev team to battlefield V and then 2042, which is ironic because both of those games are even worse than nubattlefront 2.

If it was up to Filoni, Ahsoka would be in every episode and all the rebels would be replaced with dechipped Clone OCs. Maybe add some Mandalorians as well.

The problem is that even if battlefront 3 does get greenlit and they even re-use a ton of assets from nubattlefront 1/2, it will take 5 years minimum to complete. Fads will change, desire will change, and even if Disney manages to put out a movie/series nearly as good as andor (they won't), if they aren't willing to support the game for years after it's release, they shouldn't bother. If anything, there's a higher chance of the nubf2 servers being shut down than their is of a fully realized third game.

ST had enough by the time Celebration Edition came out, hence why they era locked ST supremacy, they just never went in and fixed Galactic Assault after the fact

Crazy thing, even with all they added, the game is still less content filled and a worse deal than the original BF2.
