All the possibilities that a D&D game brings and they still can't do it. There were loads of opportunities throughout the game too, like Sazaa or some of the goblins in the camp, Rakath or Hope for Dwarf and find a way to introduce them sooner, or even Korilla.

They fixed it a few days after Patch 8 came out. I got all 4 characters looking dead-eyed at the camera after my first level up.

let's make a sublass that relies entirely on a buff that only activates when a character gets hit with melee but that disappears with any ranged hit

what were they thinking, all you are left with is the ability to give temporary hit points and a once per long rest guaranteed hit (assuming you can make the aformentioned buff trigger) command which is boring af

Their levels stay in line with yours though. The real reason is to discourage early-game multiclassing in order to get a ton of dialogue options and advantages on checks.

Well yeah, that's the thing - I was doing honour mode blind, just based in what I know from tactician + reading in-game tooltips. Worked just fine for most of it, took plenty of bosses down with no issues (Myrkul, Raphael, Grym, Beholder, Hag, none of them even downed a single cut for me). I wasn't even planning on doing Cazador, I thought about taking down the robot factory, but one of my main dps is a shadowblade wizard, so I needed a replacement. And I though, what if I make Asstarion my second monk, but it would be cool to get him ascended first. And here we fucking are. I didn't know that getting a summon close to him would one-shot two of my party members (both failing dex saves with advantage, love to see that).

stopped playing after finishing act 1. found the combat boring and too easy compared to divinity games.

They did everything to make it feel like it's a waste of storage space.
