I hate the pig game and the bike game.
Was there even a single good Simpsons game prior to Road Rage? Everything on NES/SNES/Genesis/PS1 I remember being garbage
was road rage even good? I remember hearing it had really shitty load times
krusty fun house is a competent puzzle game even if its a reskin of another game
Road rage is dumb fun.
If you like Crazy Taxi it's so similar to it that they got sued.
You mean Hit & Run? There was an arcade beat 'em up.
Virtual Springfield is a good time.
Has a doom clone inside it where you can murder teenagers.
More like Virtual Shart. This game sucked. The only good Simpsons game was the arcade game.
The arcade game.
First arcade game I ever 1CC'd
It's merely average, which was fucking amazing by Simpson game standards.
>Anon Babble
Ah, I should have specified for home release.
Simspsons Arcade has a meh DOS port in '91, and wouldn't see a proper console release until 360/PS3
Why the fuck did they sit on that for so long when it would have sold gangbusters on SNES/Genesis?
There was an actual game to that? I thought it was just one of those novelty point & clicks around an environment kind of software, similar to the Humongous Entertainment edutainment games.
When did you stop watching Simpsons Anon Babble?
only one 10
Tomacco episode I have to assume.
When Homer got raped by a panda bear.
I rewatched the first 8 seasons on loop so many times while gaming that i basically knew every single line. I was maybe 12?
Stopped when i started high school because i had friends to drowb out my need for background noise
When they animated Homer fucking Maggie
Whenever they started injecting as many celebrities as possible and revolving the episodes around those and 9-month-late "current day politics". So probably season 16?
There's a few mini games in Virtual Springfield, mostly in the Noise Land Arcade, but they largely boil down to very basic timing or interactive novelties. That describes 99% of Virtual Springfield, though there's a few hidden objects to be found that let you access a few locked areas.
The "Apoom" mini-game is just there for the gruesome animations with the four different weapons you can try.
Larry the Looter plays out identically to the same gag in the show, it's pretty much "click to play animation".
I like Bart vs the Space Mutants even though I can't get past the second level. Guess I like its premise more than the game itself but still.
SNEED episode.
Aka the Tomacco episode.
Even before Sneed blew up as a meme I liked that episode
small white penis spotted
A cow going mad and screaming tomacco is the funniest shit. Was also one of the few episodes here Homer was coincidentally pretty competent at what he set out to do.
Bart's Nightmare was great once you got used to the controls. Great music too.
Why the fuck did they sit on that for so long when it would have sold gangbusters on SNES/Genesis?
Acclaim had home console/portable rights to Simpsons games, Konami made the arcade game.
and wouldn't see a proper console release until 360/PS3
and it was up for less than 2 whole years before being delisted
One of the earliest games I remember playing. Never actually got anywhere with it.
The combination of the panda rape episode, the elf jockies, and the episode where they kept killing Snowball II replacements made me give up on the show. That era was also when they started doing "non-endings" to episodes and making Homer even more insufferable than he was starting around season 10.
I didn't actually have much of a opinion on the Armin Tamzarian episode as they were already not showing they cared about whatever loose continuity the series had by that point anyway.
Barts Nightmare
I downloaded the demo on the 360 and completely forgot to buy it as I had MAME, now I can download the demo but never buy the game itself via the demo. At least I got the Konami TMNT game, the shitty Ubisoft version of Turtles in Time, and X-Men.
I could see the quality dipping in season 9 and by season 11 I was done. The final straw was the Mel Gibson episode.
I've actually been dipping my toes in modern episodes lately. Most of them are awful, but Bart's Birthday is the only one I've seen that was legitimately funny. I'm going to miss this place.
Simpsons was way too much the mark of the late 80's ~ early 90's. As soon as that generation was over it became instantly dated
I wonder if anyone from the show ever actually played that game and noticed the Bart-Lisa incest reference.
I dont even like the old seasons anymore
The show lost itself by season 10 as the writing got worse and the characters all became even more one dimensional and "Flanderized". You can watch it happen over the seasons as Homer turns from bumbling but well meaning dad to mentally retarded to easily angered asshole while Bart becomes actively malicious.
sneed
Season 26 Episode 10 Bart's New Friend (episode 563 overall) is the last Simpsons I can recall watching.
That episode wasn't so bad it turned me off from the series (it was bad) but I just sort of stopped caring about cable TV in general around that time (2015) and just never watched a new Simpsons again.
Seasons 2-8 are fucking gold, why waste your time with a pale imitation of an imitation?
Also when I hear clips of anything from a new Simpsons, Dan Castellaneta sounds really old. Like when Mel Blanc (yes, I'm that old) was doing Daffy Duck in the 80s and it just sounded wrong.
Bruh, the show actually ended

If you think that's bad. Try listening to marge. Her voice is completely shot
around 14-16, didn't watch anything after that until covid when my friend let me use his didny+ account
20-32 are absolute fucking dogshit not a single episode with anything positive to say about
Same here. I liked the episodes until season 7 or so, for me 8 onwards changes completely for the worse. But after so many years of super annoying, immature humor, which I feel is made by American hipsters or something, I can't even watch the classic episodes anymore without getting some rejection.
Season 10 to 12 weren't perfect but there was a mean-spirited energy to them that kept me watching and I think it was the 300th episode where I finally realized the show was out of any real steam.
Has a doom clone inside it
Or you could play actual Doom.
14-20 is just bland entertainment and then all of a sudden in the HD seasons it becomes insufferable with its liberal gladhanding.
I starkly remember the episode with the Who was the first episode that didn't get a single laugh out of me. It was like it became a completely different show overnight. I stopped watching regularly then, but would catch a few episodes here and there, before stopping completely like 10 - 15 years ago.
I remember seeing an episode where Flanders was dating Edna, and was completely flabbergasted.
upi.com
At this rate one of the main cast members is going to kick the bucket. Marge sounds so bad nowadays it makes me sad desu.
Last episode i remember seeing was those tomotoes that had tabacco in them. Tamaco or some shit
It was better than Crazy Taxi. We know this because Sega sued them lol.
Yeah i agree wholeheartedly on both of those statements
Zoomer never played Road Rage kek.
The Simpsons died when Phil Hartman did.
I probably saw it at a rental store but never touched it. Never cared much for Crazy Taxi either.
Homer sure likes the pinball, doesn't he. There was Devil's Advocate and that Loch Ness themed one.
What do you mean?
Emulates fine on RPSC3 or Xenia. Also you can just play it on a hacked 360 or PS3.
most licensed games in the ATARI to the PS1 were bad
it kinda peaks on the GC-PS2-360 era, though there are plenty of stinkers
by the PS3 onwards they fall off because games are too expensive to make to make a quick tie-in
...they return.
coincidentally
