I played them for the sake of learning who all the characters are. I don't know if any of them ever show up again, but the Woodcutter apprentice who has a crush on the Carpenter apprentice actually reacted when I returned during the Carpenter quest to pick up some lumber.

Reminder that for the rare material -> sub-material(like Fire Logs into Fire Lumber) if you can PERFECT! it, it's often better to do single unit crafts for higher amounts(depends on your Crafting, of course)
For example, I can do triple craft of Lumber
This usually nets me around 7-8 Lumber
BUT
If you have the time/give a shit about amounts, I can do crafts of one at a time, where a PERFECT! nets me -4!- Lumber, which would turn into 12 for the same amount of Logs
not always necessary but if you don't always wanna run back and farm those things, might b worth a lil' extra time just doing the singles for 4x returns

only thing I don't like about the game is the easy combat. There's some neat mechanics here like perfect dodges and parries but there's jsut no need to use them because mashing the attack button seems to end fights quicker and you don't lose that much health anyway. Kinda sucks, I hope it gets at least a lil bit harder later on to the point where I actually need to block or dodge.

The "types" are just character presets (and there's 18 of them). The closest the game even gets to mentioning gender is letting you pick what kind of underwear your character has, and you can change that at any time.

When you started the endgame in that you were immediately tossed off the deep end trying to kill boss in 20 minutes and you did maybe 20% of his health in that amount of time if you werent dying in 3 hits because you didn't spend 40 hours grinding in the side dungeon mode that unlocked near the end of the story. You had to do the pre endgame endgame before being allowed to start the actual endgame that introduces multiple rarities of gear

And God fucking help whoever is going to try 100% inazuma eleven when it has 5000 characters to unlock

But special attacks are like 70% of your damage once you get enough special meter activation, it's one or two charged heavies to fill the meter then use a charged light to reapply your gathering buff. Outside of farming, you're always hitting sweet spots on current level gathering points anyway and you can brute force the lower level spots.

Boss veggies have a different mechanic; markers appear and smacking it when standing on them does more damage and increases the meter. The meter determines drop quality and count.

Meanwhile Merc can have an extra 30% charge damage on their greatsword. The only way to really fix that is if it secretly has a super high crit chance so they could at least go with crit damage

It's actually really, really good. You just have to trust me. You can punch WAY above your weight with Brand New if you know what you're doing. Like, slap Lv100 enemies to death at Lv40. I'm not even using the best stick in the game for this.
Actually, the numbers frankly don't make sense to me. Brand New really should not hit as hard as it does. I think it might have some percentage of defense penetration.

once you do enough job quests you unlock the next rank which lets you unlock mroe of the skill tree and more quests
everything you do is retroactive so dont worry too much
i'd personally say after unlocking Artist is a good point to go find more, youll probably get a fair few from slapping bosses anyway

online is just to invite friends over to help you with a difficult boss fight.

Online just makes it so you get more fruit from clearing the random dungeons. You still slowly earn them solo and unless you really like recoloring your party members you only need enough fruit for the hair and eye unlocks

it will transfer, you just need to find where it is first and drag it into the right place

If you want to get into crafting, you might want to explore Ginormosia first to get at least 2 of each crafting buddies to basically triple your crafting power, most of the shrines are just puzzles that you can solve and you can easily just run past all the enemies while exploring.

For people who want to transfer their CSF save file to legit steam copy save on steam

CSF save file location:

Steam save location:

What to do:

- First turn off steam cloud save by right clicking the game in steam > properties > general tab > toggle off steam cloud save

- Copy "gamedata.sav" from CSF save file location and then paste it in Steam save location. Then backup your steam save file by putting underscore.

- Then rename the "gamedata.sav" you pasted from CSF save file to the same file name of your steam save without the underscore.

- And before you run the legit steam game, put steam in offline mode, otherwise the game will not be able to load the save file (will say its corrupted)

- Once you are able to load your CSF save file successfully in game, go online mode on steam and then save in game again

After that you can turn on steam cloud save again.

IDK if the latter parts of the steps are mandatory but it's what i did to make it work. I kept getting save file corrupted by just transferring save files & renaming so i tried it in offline mode.

I also didn't bother using any emu/crack as i was only playing solo and running the CSF .exe work straight up anyway.
