Fortnite did fail when it was still a trendchasing survival coop game. Which is why it only suceeded after it switched to a battle royale, a genre which was just becoming popular and only had a handful of well known games at the time. Liveservice hero shooter was already a saturated and solidified genre by the time concord came out and marathon is aiming for a fairly niche genre with no understanding of what makes it good which results in one of the blandest looking and playing game in the extraction shooter genre.
Veilguard sucks ass because the devs have no vision for the series, downgrade it to the most safe and sterile fantasy possible while serving as a tool for modern political messaging to fill the gaps because they have nothing else interesting to tell.

Current Bioware is one of those weird cryptids/ SCPs of some creature that killed your mother years ago and has been wearing her skin in an attempt to replace her, after studying her for weeks. For the past decade it has done it's best, but it doesn't understand how to do anything your mom did. At first it sort of copied the last things it witnessed. It can cobbled together like one good meal, but each day it gets worse than the last. Cooking, cleaning, emotional support, all of that just has diminishing returns as it also forgets the image of your original mom. You've known ever since year two when it baked a cake full of teeth, but pitied it, hoping it would get better.

Now it's just a howling mess. Most of the skin has rotted away. It doesn't put any effort into it's mimicry. It now pretends to be her with outrageous stereotypes and exaggerated performances based off it's ailing memory. It's been so much that you can't even remember the original.
