I did read the posts, it's just retarded to act like P4 fans are very protective of the stories twists because of Izanami when they're so frivolous with letting everyone know Adachi's the killer. I wouldn't say people are very secretive about the protagonist dying at the end of P3 either, if there's any twist that people don't bring up often with P3 it's Ikutsuki, and that's just because nobody gives a shit about Ikutsuki, not because people respect the narrative so much they don't want to give it away.

Something that I think is required to really "get" the character of Takuto Maruki is the Japanese media concept of "self-righteousness". It's a common literary trope in Japanese media to have characters that put on the face of being a selfless, purely good martyr that's willing to go to any length and sacrifice for the greater good, but really it's just all a facade that even they themselves can't see through, and in truth they're just jerking off their own ego.

Maruki is a perfect example of this trope. He imagines himself as a tragic selfless hero, but really he just has a savior complex and his real motivation is NOT "make the world better", it's "wow i'm so cool and great, I love how wonderful I am! mmm, i'm going to do stuff that makes me look good so I can feel good about how good I think I am". It's pure ego.

This is exemplified by the unfairness of how he gives out his "happiness". If he actually had any moral fiber, he would have clear and consistent rules on how he does things. But he doesn't. Instead, he gives special preferential treatment to people who he cares more about the opinions of, people he thinks are "special" like he is. He cares more about himself being seen positively by those people than he cares about actually making the world better. For the special people, he fixes broken legs and revives their parents. For normies, he just makes them shut up and quietly accept their shitty lives.

Atlus themselves are frivolous with it. They practically spoiled by making Adachi an important character in the Arena games. So anybody that looks up information about P4 has a high likelihood of seeing that sort of thing.

Demons and Gods are very real in the Persona universe, and if everyone is simply living in an idyllic fantasy world then it's very possible some malevolent entity like Yaldabaoth or Nyx could come out of nowhere to fuck shit up and there'd be no ragtag band of magic teenagers to stop them.

Maruki has adopted the power of the whole collective unconscious at the end of P5R, I don't think they'd be under threat from any other Demons. Not that he's the strongest thing in the whole MegaTen universe, but there's just nothing in the narrative of P5 itself to suggest some bigger bad is going to step in and ruin his plans.

Also, more than that, it's just cheap narratively to sidestep any moral issues with what Maruki does because maybe some undisclosed Demon will step in and ruin it all for some reason. There's also no reason to even engage with it on that level because the PTs disagree with what Maruki is setting out to do in the first place, they don't try to stop him just because they think he's not capable of protecting the people or whatever.
