No, that's barely even actually discussed. The main focus about the movie is family and its importance with a fuck demon alien on the loose. Movie, at least the original, is fantastic. Disney barely had much faith in it and didn't give it a big budget, which forced them to be more creative and watercolor painted nearly every background scene.

It's fantastic. Those elements are kind of there but were toned down in the final release. Disney didn't want to make too big an issue about tourists when they have a resort over there. I think there's two notable scenes that weren't released where Lilo fucks with tourists, specially when they treat her like some hotel staff or zoo exhibit.

Actually what happened with Frozen was entirely because of the Frozen team, not because of Disney as a whole. There was a discussion about it on Anon Babble a while back and basically, the jist is all worlds had to have the input and final approval of the teams currently working with the IP at the time, but the Big Hero 6 guys didn't really care, and just let Square do whatever. Two Baymax's? Sure ok we'll sign off on that. Meanwhile the Frozen team were near impossible cunts to work with because they didn't want it in the game and were jealous it would steal Frozen 2's thunder (because it was releasing that year) so they wouldn't let them do anything remotely interesting and forced them to do the full Let It Go number almost shot for shot. Toy Story's team meanwhile were a little TOO into it and insisted it be part of Toy Story canon, which means at some point between TS 2 and 3 the Heartless canonically invaded and Sora showed up to save them.

I will say this, at least with the Tangled one they kind of tried to integrate Sora and friends, even if they overdid slightly by removing the tavern scene and it could have been fun having Sora befriend the ruffians from that place. Plus Sora felt like he actually had agency there, he was doing stuff in the background to make sure the main plot succeeded, while in Arendelle it feels like things would've gone exactly the same even if you never showed up. Yes the Corona cutscenes are taken straight from the movie often but you have plenty of non-cutscene interaction with Rapunzel and Flynn.

The closest they got to "good" were like the Maleficent movie or as you mention Christopher Robin, which aren't really remakes but original stories using old characters or some perspective we hadn't seen before. I actually had some mild hope for Mulan since I thought it was going to be less of a remake and more like a serious adaptation of the story while taking some cues from the animated movie, so no CGI Eddie Murphy Mushu or anything. But Disney missed the mark by a thousand miles with that one.

Because the animated series came out in a period where the rights were still licensed to Disney, 2001-3. Disney lost the licensing rights around 2004 which is why Tarzan had to skip Chain of Memories.
While they can re-release stuff they already made with Tarzan. They need to ask permission again/license the rights if they ever want to do anything new with Tarzan. Which is also why he stopped being involved in any parks
