Just as fast if not faster than wireless

just as fast if not faster than wireless

charge it maybe once a month or so

Why don't you own a wireless mouse for gaming, Anon Babble? console players have moved on since early 2000's why haven't you?

44028_05.jpg - 925x800, 122.21K

Why don't you own a wireless mouse for gaming, Anon Babble?

I do.

wiredfags' biggest complaint about wireless is that they have to become wired once in a while

I do and mine is silent too. Imagine having a mouse than clicks audibly

Why don't you own a wireless mouse for gaming?

I have pic related

pay double for literally no reason when wired is fine

ok

chastity cage mouse

have to change your setup at random intervals or else you can't use your PC

wired is and always will be superior. I don't have to charge it ever.

I ordered the VXE Mad R. Canada Post is on strike though, so who knows when I'll get mine.

I have a glorious wireless and the battery lasts like 24 hours tops. My logitech on the other hand lasts like a week between charges.

Bit hit and miss but what can ya do

*drags cable*

charge it maybe once a month or so

Proofs? Also I preferably need 4 side buttons. Try finding a wireless mouse with good battery and ample side buttons at a decent price.

that's because it's always charging lmao

Canada Post is on strike though

Why? Not being replaced by jeets fast enough?

You're not changing you're setup you drama queen, its plugging a cable in

there's nothing you can say that will make me abandon my logitech g600

do you complain about having to plug your phone in as well?
do you not have obvious downtimes where you can just plug it in

They broke.

you think wired mice have batteries that require charging? ok

I got a g305 that started double clicking after a while
I've been using the same dogshit $10 cheapass wired logitech mouse for years and it hasn't crapped out.

flippum.jpg - 695x785, 60.49K

What's a good and cheap one? There are too many wires on my desk.

get zip tie mouse cord to wire from back of display

wired mice have wires 100% of the time
wireless mice need to have wires 1% of the time and it can be during complete downtime when the pc is off

I have never needed to take my mouse further from my computer than the cable allows.

Yes, I hate requiring a smartphone just to exist. If I could have a landline that could text, I'd do it.

charge light starts flashing

put mouse on the charge dock before bed

Wake up to a charged mouse
It's that easy

Just find a chink one with optical switches. They're all relatively cheap.

use mouse long enough that it can't stay charged for a full game session

die in real life

I've never had good luck with wireless mice. I don't like them

replace the shitty chink omrons with jp omrons or something else reliable. my g305 still going good after replacing them 3 years ago. you do know how to solder right anon?

I have a huge vertical mouse and idgaf, in 4 years i've charged it like 3 times only tho.

I'm gonna level with you I've looked into and have been entirely too lazy to do surgery on my mouse.

How do I know if I'm clicking or not without the noise

the battery lasts like 2 weeks you fucking retard
just plug it in before going to bed so it's charged when you wake up

do you complain about having to plug your phone in

I do. Most people do. That's why the majority of people walk around with 2% battery life all of the time. That shit is fucking gay.

do you not have obvious downtimes

I actually have a nice NVME drive so no. Downtime is for poor people and third worlders with load times.

Hi, sorry, I'm not throwing I just need a moment of downtime to plug in my mouse in the middle of this match, it's starting to die, no I can't explain why I paid extra for a mouse that FUCKS ME IN THE ASS periodically

just do this thing every so often that you don't need to do if you just bought a wired mouse in the first place

At this point literally every single person complaining about how they can totally perceive the latency difference is a 45-year-old Quake III Arena fag whose idea of wireless is some infrared mouse from 1999. No, you do not actually have superhuman abilities and there's probably a reason why every zoomer CS pro with a 65ms reaction time uses wireless. You are not better than them.

do you not SLEEP and WORK you retard?

you will never know the glide advantage of not having a wire

idk if I'm just paranoid but how do you use and maintain a mouse with holes like that?
All the dust and sweat and just general gunk that accumulates on my mouse from heavy use is noticeable and bad enough on the outside over time. I can't imagine having to deal with that shit getting inside too

they get dusty, but it doesn't stop them from working. those kinds of designs are kinda outdated, tho, there are solid shell mice way lighter than those old honeycombs nowadays

I've used wireless mice because my brother uses one in the living room. And I fucking hate it.
No, I don't feel any difference when I have a wire or not, except for when the thing fucking dies.

charging a mouse

do zoomers not know what a fucking AA battery is? I have to change my battery like once every 4 months, do yous just leave your mouse on 24/7 instead of turning it off when your not playing?

higher end mice use li-ion

AA battery

mouse

so zoomers prefer a shorter battery life that explodes?

Logitech makes the worst peripherals of any company. It's almost impressive how they manage to fuck up every single product in one way or another.

400mAh is enough for weeks unless you're doing 4k polling rate autism

yeah two AA batteries
this fuckers been working fine for over a decade now

Don't know why mice need to have those dirt collecting pockets.

Feel? I love silent mice and keyboards, its just a neat technology

batteries are even fucking worse

hey just use these pieces of shit that you have to discard

if you discard them too early you're just wasting them

if you wait too long, your shit dies

higher end mice use li-ion

That'd be lower end mice, actually.
Peripheral devices that don't use replaceable batteries are dogshit unless they have to be too small to fit batteries in them.

Yes hello I'd like to not be able to use my headset for an hour while it charges

Absolutely retarded shit dreamt up by retards and chinks that don't do anything of value

No worries about latency

Isn't another device to fiddle with the batteries of

Wired just werks
No reason to change out my bulky ass g502 when it's held up perfectly for 10 years

buy mouse 10 years ago

literally have never had to think about it again

For the keyboard it's been 12 years. Why do you people feel the need to keep consooming? It's just a tool, it's not gonna stop doing its job until it breaks and a new one isn't going to fill whatever hole you have in your life

I do own wireless headphones but I don't see the problem with a wired mouse, the wire is never in the way. ¯_(ツ)_¯

honeycombs are a dead meme

get yourself a real mouse, bro. that shit is for poor people.

wait for the low battery light to flash

change battery within an hour or so

How can a wireless mouse be faster than wireless?

Literally a wire in the picture.

name of the mouse? I didn't know they made silent mice but I'd love to have one

in your life you have to

wash your teeth for 2 minutes every day

take a 10 minute shower every day

spend several minutes pissing and shitting every day

prepare food for at least half an hour every day

work and commute every workday

and wirefags go insane over having to spend 10 seconds plugging in a mouse once a week before sleep lmao

why spend more money when the cheap one works fine

Recently retired mt fk1+- zowie for an endgame xm2 8k - pretty nice mouse for sub $90 - dunno if i'll ever go wireless, I just don't see the point especially if battery life on these new mice that run at 2k/4k/8k polling gets cut down by a decent amount. My buddy has one of the wireless charging kousepads like a giant wireless phone charger that keeps his mouse topped off but idk, seems like a pain being limited to a few options then and building a setup around it. I do have a wireless kb+m combo but that is for my steamlink on my tv so I can play some comfy couch games but if i'm at my pc and looking to actually win at games i'll use my wired stuff.

Why would I add more to the list when the alternative is more reliable

What's an upgrade to a Logitech G305? Pretty much I want this exact shape but better internals/ switches?

1000009460.png - 733x736, 865.78K

A G305 with better switches installed?

How about I spend 0 seconds instead?

That's a charging wire and where the receiver goes

having a neat quite portable and easily adjustable setup where you only run 3 cables is worth losing 10 seconds of your life per week
wired peripherals are effectively rooted to the desk

barely any thumb ridge

Disgusting.
Look into m705. It uses AA batteries. I change them once or twice a year, but I don't do shootan shit.

i think the most autistic thing i might have ever done is buying assurant co. insurance for my mouse because i was pissed at every mouse breaking after 1 year of usage
it was like $5 tho

when are you taking your desk anywhere?

buying a wireless mouse for any reason ever

Peak zoomer cringe.

buy wired mouse

give mouse cable a few inches of slack so you never feel it pull when moving it

any benefit of wireless is completely gone

zoomers CHOOSE to have to either buy batteries, or charge at random times for some reason?

After my last G305 shit itself I went with a pic related. It's the rog strix impact iii wireless (retarded name) and is more or less a G305 with hot swappable switches and better stock ones.

h525.png - 525x525, 132.17K

Why would I bother shitting in a toilet when I have to stand up and waste a second of my time flushing it when I could just shit in the street and be done with it without wasting any time

Poojet detection warning

do you want to sit at your desk the entire time?
they were made for work, not leisure
they encourage you to lean forward and fuck up your posture
it's much comfier to put the keyboard on your lap and mouse on your right and sit back

do you want to sit at your desk the entire time?

Yes, that's what desks are for

they were made for work, not leisure

shitty opinion discarded

they encourage you to lean forward and fuck up your posture

maybe if you have a shit setup

it's much comfier to put the keyboard on your lap and mouse on your right and sit back

LOL

the benefit of wireless is not being glued to a fucking desk
desks are a millennial meme

Asus

Nope

battery goes flat

mis-clicks

clicks 5000 times a second

movement becomes fucked up

sometimes randomly types despite not being a keyboard

wireless is a fucking mistake, I hate these shits with a passion; i get so many calls at work

my keyboard randomly stopped working

is it wireless

how could you tell?

fucking retards
fucking retarded hardware
fuck wireless

I own like 20, I have a problem. They're fun to mess around with. Haven't bought a new one in awhile though, they got kinda boring. Mostly using my Pulsar Xlite V3 Large. V4 doesn't really offer anything of real value to me.

when a mouse weights 60g in 2025

desks predate computers retard, they were not in fact made for computers
having to put your hands forward like that subconsciously fucks your posture whether you want it or not

What does that even mean you fucking retard? What are you resting your mouse on? A TV dinner tray 15 feet away from your TV like a senior citizen? Trying to justify your cringe gamer gear by saying you won't be sitting at a DESK to play a PC game? Are you an intern at RAZER marketing?

I only use mice that weigh at least 150kg

literally any flat surface? can be a bed, a couch, anything
desks ARE cringe gamer gear now whether you want it or not

A couch mousepad, 5ft away from my 65in oled.

t.

Capture.png - 600x903, 630.34K

then your setup is TRASH. sorry you had to find out this way. a good desk means you can relax in your chair while still comfortable moving your mouse and typing without leaning forward

i'll own people shitting on desks by posting a picture of a kid sitting at a desk, therefore infantilising my own position

lol

desks ARE cringe gamer gear now

I was with you until this, has to be bait

Everyone knows you don't have whatever retarded setup you're making up to justify a wireless mouse, you're sitting at a desk right now and you always sit at a desk. You're just embarrassed by realizing what a retard you are for buying a wireless mouse.

That ricer can kick your ass in your favorite gayme, slap your girlfriend's ass and you wouldn't do shit about it.

a regular office or school type desk is absolute shit to play games on

I do that too. I once spend a million hours in paint to illustrate it, because a picture says more than a thousand words.

lol
i'm outstretched on my bed in a completely relaxed flaccid position with a chair footstool
you wish you were this comfy

Nice cock anon

Comfy

Pc.jpg - 1856x2160, 1.71M

I heard Noctua decided to finally make a mouse. Shit has a fan built in. I might get one of those when it comes out.

i have enough things i need to charge already so my wired keyboard and mouse are two less things to worry about

wired mouse

have to untangle it from time to time

if its plugged into the PC the PC have to be close because cheap fucks skimp on cord length

worse glide movement than wireless

made for poor people

have wireless

untethered

can buy as long of a cord you want

best glide movement

charge it every 2-3 weeks depending on use

choice is clear. wired are for faggots who cant get with the damn times.

Have you considered not being a fat fuck with sweaty palms instead?

is it just me or do white peripherals seem more premium even though it's just painted plastic and metal

710641069

bait post to make wireless fags look even more retarded than they already are

look mom, i'm phoneposting

no argument

thanks

I am not wasting my time and mindspace on recharging my mouse

I really like the shape of my G403, do any of these wireless mouses have that shape?

im so incompetent that my wires get tangled

oh man zoomers are just getting dumber and dumber

wired mouse

membrane wired keyboard

wired controller

wireless headphones

Not changing.

Are you talking about using the surface itself without any kind of pad?

i accept your concession
fyi phoneposting results in lots of capital letters and apostrophes and that's way more common in the wiredfags itt

falseflagger purposely using lowercase to try and trick people into thinking he's using a keyboard from his bed comfortably

the one thing is matters he direct pumps radioactive niggerwaves directly into his skull

ngmi

anyone know anything similar to Roccat kone pro air? its discontinued, 75 grams and pretty large and perfect for my hand.

file.png - 632x728, 264.62K

Just get a monitor arm and a mouse pad.

Wireless headphones are the most retarded out of all of those lol

I have a wireless
I also have the Logitech whatsitcalled so that I never need to charge it at all

no, i'm taking about putting your peripherals on it
mice are annoying as fuck to use without a pad on any surface
for a desk to properly support le gayming it needs that low keyboard drawer and a big flat surface on your right to support a mouse so you're not leaning forward
with a normal one big rectangular surface desk you're either going to hate it or sit somewhat diagonally to shorten that mouse arm distance

glide movement

You got got by marketing, retard.

I don't want to pay more for something that does less, especially since all mouse will end up with wheel errors after a year anyway. If there was a mouse that use some kind of alternate wheel sensor that never goes bad, I'd consider paying premium.
Even then, the deciding factor would be the button layout and whether the driver can do everything I want. Optimally it wouldn't even need a driver, it would save all settings into the mouse firmware and run without drivers.

Aside from the driver thing, the Logitech G203 does everything I need, its only fault is the mouse wheel needing changes (big deal, I can solder in replacements), and the firmware unable to save key macros so I need to keep the logitech app running (I don't like it, but at least it doesn't use much memory and is nag free).

Maybe I'd consider getting a mouse with a keypad on the side, since I play a lot of RTS titles.

scroll wheel button started double, triple and even quadruple clicking and sometimes it doesn't even work at all

can't find a replacement part online and it would be a bitch to replace compared to M1 and M2 buttons

i think its finally over for my deathadder elite v2
please shill me a good mouse, can be wired or wireless i don't give a shit

Gaming mice used to have extra installable weights in them. Incredible how even this sector went through a gayification. I wish we'd go back to having Temple of Nod style mice.

I've only found slightly smaller options. Roccat made one recently, I think for Asian markets, I can't remember the name but it was so expensive that I didn't bother.

Then there's the Kysona Uranus, it's probably what you should get. It's pretty cheap but surprisingly good, my only problem with it is that it's slightly smaller than the KPA.

There's also the Xenics Titan GT AIR, very similar to the Uranus but it has swappable shells, which is pretty cool. Clicks felt kind of cheap but I bought it a few years ago, maybe it's improved since then. I got a black one from this listing and could only find it on eBay at the time: ebay.com/itm/325335471553?var=514255537220

There might be more at this point, but I bought those two before and can say they're both pretty good. But I wish Roccat would just make a Kone Pro Air 2.

what is the point of having speed holes in your mouse lol. just more to clean and it probably feels fucking weird in your hand

wireless is faster than wireless

Cuts down on weight, that's it.

first legit argument for wireless mouse I've seen in this thread so far.

unfortunately I also do work, so I kind of have to use a desk, can't surf the net on a HDTV all the time (I own a plasma tv and a projector, both use 300+ watts and have image retention, up side is that they shit all over everything worse than an OLED in image quality).

just as fast if not faster than wireless

ESL

I just don't like cables, wireless is so fucking good I can't tell the difference at all between it and wired.

Mostly for style, some FPS clowns need the lightest possible mice to do those flick aims.

is that a good thing? mouse i had previous to my current one had magnets as additional weight and i would always put on as many as possible to have a heavier mouse. my new one has no such feature and is quite light for my taste unfortunately

then stop using your computer until we get wireless monitors or wireless 800W PSU's

such a shame my previous logitech started double clicking after 7 years and the new one doesn't have any addon weights
at least I can rest my fingers on the mouse buttons without causing them to click unlike some other gayming mice I tested

for me it's the g305. also one AA battery lasts ~3
-4 months
g600 is the best mouse for mmo's, but you're insane if you use it all the time

oh sick, I might try the Uranus then. the Xenics looks like its doing a bit too much with the shape. thanks

but you're insane if you use it all the time

Are you supposed to own multiple mice that you switch between depending on what you do? Lmfao

This sentence is correct, actually.

Depending on your preference, yeah. I prefer lighter mice for games, heavy mice for productivity. Some kids get way too wrapped up in it and think that they can't perform if their mouse is over 35g or whatever.

I bought this kit for this 16g because I had the Viper V2 already and wasn't really using it anymore and wanted to try something that light, it's cool but I perform the same with it as I do with a 60g mouse so it collects dust, just like my Viper V2 did. Nothing against the Viper V2 by the way, great mouse, I just prefer ergo mice.

find me a wireless mouse that is

reasonably light

not full of holes

textured surface

has mouse wheel tilt and/or a ring finger button

12 side buttons that don't get pressed by the lightest squeeze

and we'll talk

if one of those things you do is play mmo's, then yes. of course I'd advise not playing that faggotry at all but if you don't then there's no reason to use a g600.

800W

I need at least 1200W

You can fix double clicking by opening up the microswitch (careful so the springs don't snap) and spraying contact cleaner on the leaves. Double clicking is usually caused by obstruction on the contacts, which in a microswitch almost always means some form of rusting; contact cleaner can get rid of it.

Last time I had that problem I just used WD40 and that one worked as well.

Unfortunately it doesn't help with the wheel sensor. I have no idea how to clean those, other than replacing them altogether.

naga hyperspeed v2

The Naga V2, yeah

because a mouse doesnt directly translate to skill, theres people out there playing counterstrike with shitter cheap mice that would rinse you every round

3 static cables are much easier to justify than 3 constantly moving cables for your mouse, keyboard and headset

Wjy are you fags so mad over the fact some people have different preferences?

While I'm sure most people buy mice with 12 side-buttons for MMOs, they're also excellent for productivity. Be it media editing or programming in VSCode, all those shortcuts come really handy

my g600 has 2 buttons that dont work and is starting to double click
its starting to sadden me since you dont find much mice with this many buttons on the side. I'd compromise with 6 buttons on the side if i can find that much at least

Mouse cables bother me, should have specified. I'm fine with wired keyboards, headphones, etc.

Skill issue.
Also:

keyboard cable

moving

The fuck are you doing, retard?

You must be new

but i do

file.jpg - 894x713, 30.32K

Nah, it just still baffles me after all these years. Especially when it's something so minor.

You know you can have more than one mouse/screen connected to a pc, right? Wired at desk for "work" and wireless mouse/keyboard at recliner. You can get an USB hub if range is an issue.

A fucking AA BATTERY IN THE YEAR 2025

Capture.png - 734x52, 5.06K

you an environmentalist or something? whats the issue

cheap $15 silent wireless mouse

you literally don't need anything more

NOOO I WANT A BATTERY THAT KILLS ITSELF AND ISN'T EASILY REPLACABLE NOOOOO AAAA I'M GOING INSANE

What's the problem? They last for months. If weight is the issue, just get a AAA and an adapter or some aluminum foil.

AA battery

I had no idea this was even a thing. I amend my requirements because fuck that

your keyboard tray?
your couch or bed gaming?
don't tell me you're tormenting yourself with a cheap stock desk that makes you raise your arm uncomfortably high with no support

fell for it

bought a lightweight mouse similar to this one

used it for about 10 minutes

put it back up for sale

lightweight mice feel fucking shit to use

im using one of these with the gay RGB turned off, silent click and it feels good in the hand, got it off facebook with a matching keyboard for £10

Untitled.png - 656x355, 143.49K

yeah I probably could've fixed it but considering it lasted so long that my thumb had corroded through the rubber, I just thought fuck it and got a new one

You disgust me. Stick to consoles, you animal.

bought a $10 amazon gaymer mouse

wow this sucks

Try spending at least $30 before bitching about the quality.

Naga v2

The last mouse I used I had to replace because after fixing it yearly for 12 years, some of the plastic parts finally broke.

nice reading comprehension retard

You can also sidestep the issue with software like autohotkey.

bought a mouse similar to this one

includes an image of a $10 amazon gaymer mouse

?

i did, what's wrong with it

that's the freedom of the pc platform
i'm free not to torment myself by trying to match the stereotype
i can't imagine sitting at a shitty low tier desk not being able to relax

What's the issue with a AA battery?

you can modify the mouse you have to have it silently click, you take the case off and use a screwdriver to push the switch housing closer to the actuator, theres youtube videos on how to do it

because i dont carry my mouse around. its always there on the desk at the same spot. there is no reason for it to be wireless

Razer DeathStalker V2 Pro Tenkeyless (Red Switch) - Wireless Low-Profile Optical Gaming Keyboard (Linear Optical Switches, HyperSpeed Wireless, Bluetooth 5.0) US Layout | White

DeLUX Seeker Ergonomic Mouse Wireless, Vertical Mouse with OLED Screen, 6 Buttons&Thumb Wheel, Silent Click, up to 7200DPI, Programmable, Rechargeable, BT/2.4G/Wired, RGB Light (M618XSD-White)

gonna get those
r8?

Are there any gaming mice other than Logitech and Razer that have a free-scrolling mouse wheel?

sidestep the issue of needing a mouse app for hotkeys by using a dedicated hotkey app

ok.

yet ANOTHER wireless mouse thread

I get it's cool nowadays to show off how much of a consoomer you are, but of all things to show off you choose computer mice? Really?

not enough buttons

console players have moved on since early 2000's

Obviously not since they're still on consoles.
Also wireless is a meme with no selling point.

wireless mice are just as cheap as wired you miserable turd world retard. its not 2011 anymore

I refuse to pay money to some kike company that has removed half the material of the mouse.

I have a mouse that double clicked until I blew dust from under the button. Dunno how it got there.

i ditched the numpad because the only game that i ever used it with was tf2 where i changed loadouts with it
and i had a g502 and a deathadder elite in the past and i could never get myself to learn to use the side buttons either

waiting for the Zowie FK1-DW

The point of saving all mouse settings to firmware is so you don't need extra software and so the mouse works identically on all machines (in case you take it with you for work or use it with another machine at home).

Makes the thread even more retarded then.

The only one being retarded here is you

Because a battery will weight the mouse down
People nowadays want light mice

tkl

shit/10

i was talking about the mouse in the OP pic

no u

Nice argument faggot

Competitive FPS players are mentally ill.

You're mistaken, me laughing at you for getting mad over something you made up in your own head is not an argument, it's me laughing at you

People nowadays want light mice

People

They aren't people, lightweight is for limp wrist sissies who think they'll get epic quick turn head shots and pretend like that don't overshoot everything in reality

n-no YOU'RE mad

Cope

People nowadays want light mice

weaklings nowadays want light mice

ftfy

If you're not mentally ill in 2025 you're retarded.

the numpad has gotten 0.001% of my inputs if i had to guess so i don't really need it
i'm better at touch typing with the regular number bar anyway

it's a mouse
a representation of your hand and fingers
would you willingly attach a weight to it while doing daily tasks?

If he was an environmentalist he'd be praising AA batteries, since using rechargeable AA's is way better environmentally than an integrated battery that makes the whole mouse useless when it eventually fails.

all these insane schitzo photoshops about cell phones and gmo and green energy were one guy in oregon who was well liked by his community and coached a little league team

They think lighter mice = faster movement which is nice in FPS games but please keep acting like retards

But I do.

I suspect like with most tech things, weight is perceived as quality to some people, even though it's not necessarily the case.

tie a balloon to your hand

it wasn't a $10 amazon mouse, it was a $30 amazon mouse

fucking wow.

The numpad can do things you can't do with the number bar. ™ for example. Code is ALT 0153, go on. Try it on the numberbar.

I literally use added weight on my mouse so yes

yeah it's great for productivity, but it's also fucking horrible for shooters and things like that. when I played mmo's I used a g600 and would use it for my regular pc usage too, but switch it on the rare occasions I played fps

I'll admit I've fingered some of the side buttons once or twice while playing fps, but you can solve it by just having a dedicated profile for such gaming where most the side-buttons are disabled and don't do anything

he doesn't play Pirates! daily

sad

can't say i use unicode that often
i'd rather just grab a 10 bucks cheap chit pad off amazon for that if i were to desperately need it than have the dead space on the keyboard all the time

this thread is everything wrong with braindead consumer gamers.

if i need the trademark logo for some reason i just look up trademark logo. — is the only useful character via numpad imo

this thread reminded me to buy replacement wheel encoders for my g203.

I want for TTC Gold, is that good? The only other option was TTC green/white or Kailh (current sensor inside is Kailh). ALPS was not available in 10mm height.

If you do work on computers or use Excel a lot or play RTS games, the numpad is an absolute must.

i do work on computers (programming) and literally never use the numpad

Used to have a g502 lightspeed until it doubleclicks

i'm just not gonna use the wireless mouse

i do work on computers (programming)

Copy pasting from chatgpt is not programming.

chatgpt isn't even the tool you want to use with programming, get on with the times gramps

Anything Logitech beyond their most basic-tier shit is overrated garbage (including the mx518).

ever going with a big-box brand for your keyboard

in 2025

There's tons of better options in that price range (like $200ish if Google is accurate), if not well below. Hot-swappable switch sockets are a must if you're going to spend big bucks. Keychron, for example, makes similar low-profile boards for almost $100 less but you'll be getting comparable build quality and hot-swappability.

battery dies after a few years

money stolen

Fuck off Shlomo. I'll keep using my wired mouse until it starts to double click and then I'll buy another wired one.

b-but the heckin cable

Get a mouse bungee, no more cable drag. I bet you're the sort of faggot that uses a wireless gaymin headset too.
