$3000 for a good PC

Did you try not being poor? Works for me.

By paying only $600 for a PC and then turning ray tracing off. You can't even get 60fps with ray tracing, anyway, turn that shit off and cut your budget.

I've just been ship of theseusing my computer for the last 20 years. A new part or two every year if I see a good deal or just want to upgrade.

theres no modern games worth playing anyway just buy a cheap console if you want to play modern slop

I don't care.

Step 1: Don't play AAAslop
You don't need a step 2.

but when nintendo charges $450 for a console, then you have a problem

good

No, 3 grand will get you something fantastic. Not quite bleeding edge, but very high end stuff. I'm not going to pretend it's 2014 and say you can can make a great build for 600 dollars, but 1500 will get you something nice.

only $600

lol

Integrated graphics work good

switch 2

3K is literally nothing considering I don't need to upgrade for the foreseeable future. Also I use my PC to make AI porno of prominent political figures which already made back all the money I spent.

3000$

lmao. Idiot and their money are easy to depart.

my entire pc cost me like $500

lower settings to medium

save $2,500

9600x

32gb ram

4060 8gb

1080p

Its somewhat cheap an can play Wilds at 60fps high settings quality dlss no framegen

yeah but you dont get steam sales

My setup was $800 5 years ago and still plays everything I want it to

$80 baby games

built myself a nice PC

use it to play WoW classic on one monitor and watch washing machine repair videos on the other

At least my old one went to a good cause. It's a linux media server for some relatives now.

Gaming is a luxury, sorry OP.

Encourage the FTC to go after these companies who are breaking rules.

i don't play enough games to care about sales, but yea pc is cheaper in general

i bought my computer for less than 2000$ 5 years ago, and it still runs everything correctly

you can do many other things with a nice PC besides gaming. it is important

Get an Optiplex with an I7 and get an RX 6400. For under $300 you have a Series S killer, and you can play a lot of Playstation games.

Built and ok-ish PC in 2021-22 for 2k$ and there wasn't a single game that came out that required an upgrade

Stop buying shit you don’t need

wait a few months

enough money to buy a PC

And that’s assuming you’re a poorfag living on paychecks

I don't think video games will ever be worth that much

PC for old games that can run on a 1060

PS5 for modern games (I don't even care about modern games)

Shrimple life

Tips on getting more mileage per dollar spent on pc gaming:

TL;DR - Do your research.

Don't go for modern games, they are monetarily predatory and are for people who can't control their spending habits. You have been warned.

Steam and GoG are pretty baseline nowadays, and have the most occurrence of decent sales for classic pc games that are worth playing, and there are plenty of options to choose from.

Don't buy anything over $15 if you don't know anything about a game, $25 if you do, and $40 if you're desperate for it.

Don't play Free to Play MMOs, they're just as monetarily predatory as modern games.

Don't buy anything that has a secondary launcher and needs an account to sign up for.

Stay away from EA, Ubisoft, Blizzard, and 2K's newer titles.

Don't buy all your parts all at once, and look for compatibility between parts, you don't want to buy a cpu that won't fit into your motherboard.

If you do plan on buying expensive pieces of hardware, make sure you've checked the benchmarks online, and the requirements for games you're planning on playing.

My previous PC was 8 years old at the time

Just make a system to play easily on high in 1080 or if you must 1440p at most but it will be slightly more expensive, 1000-1500$ max for pc then.

all these points and you forgot to mention piracy is often an option

There are more good games than you can play in your life already released 10+ years ago.

There's nothing even worth playing that requires a modern GPU.

I don't trust these retards to not download a trojan.

I buy gog games on sale just because without gog I wouldn't be able to play games. I'm too intelligent to use steam.

I was able to build a decently powerful computer for around nine hundred dollars. If you're patient, you could get good deals.

$3000 baby PC
$5000 minimum or you're a poorfag

Yeah, if you must have jewidia gpu then sure, it's around 3k

You can build a mid range pc for like 200 and have 10,000 games

a good pc does not a good game make
there are a dozen games you could play within minutes you might like, or spend the time you do making Anon Babble threads to research games you might like

its not that expensive at all, of you build an older gen amd pc like a 3600 + 6700xt its like 700 usd. if you buy new gen then a decent ryzen + 5060 ti 16gb shouldnt cost more than 1k. only the top of the line stuff costs 2-3k.

3k is just the gpu

Not only that, but you don't really have to upgrade unless something comes out that you can't get to run at an acceptable performance. But if you are a penny pinching Jew, you wait for games to go on sale for $10 anyway. So realistically you're 3 or 5 years behind whatever the most recent slop is anyway. Only shit that matters is running the one new multiplayer game that comes out once ever 2 or 3 years, and half the time that's some shit that can run on anything like Schedule 1, Terraria or Factorio.

I Youtube all the AAA crap for free.

Where did this meme about needing anything over a 1k+ PC to play and enjoy games?
A friend of mine recently bought a used 5700xt for 150 yuros, and a PC case from a flea market for 10 yuros and he's been so excited he's been constantly gushing how modern vidya are running 1080p 60fps max settings.
