finally got around to the end after being stuck on simon for the last two days. had to flip a coin and started with verso's which was what i wanted initially. i think they set them up against each other pretty well at that point; became a matter of choosing whose suffering you sympathized with more

Well, it's a fairly linear jrpg where you can actually do all the content in one go.
Doesn't really have much grinding or anything and you can't randomly miss events.

I'm doing a solo Gustave/Verso run, currently up the battlefield. Not sure I'll do more than maybe one more solo for Monoco(maybe) but yeah I agree here.
Also realized I never found the Crushing Cave in my regular run and had to fight the boss there solo blind. Not sure how that happened.

The preluding cutscene in this quest is particularly scary because of how insistent she is to see her copy. It's like she plans to delete from the start. And the aftermath where she says "you have me!" as Verso is coping at losing the closest thing to actual family he had left was also telling.
