How likely are you to pirate the switch 2? Has nintendo finally broke the camel back with their anti-consumer behavior?

The $70 8 year old game

This is the equivalent of selling PS1 games for $70 in 2007
Bravo Nintendo

I dont even know how to emulate the Switch, ill just skip out on Mario Kart, it sucks but Nintendo is Jewish as fuck

you will never get a switch 2 emulator within 10 years. they hardened the chip this time and not even tweezers will let you hack it

70$ for a new yearly bing bing wahoo game

Tendies will cry but buy anyway

i am gainfully employed yes. i also get a lot of ass

How likely are you to pirate the switch 2?

0%. I'll probably buy a Switch 2 in a couple years and build up a collection of mostly used games.

You're a full time toilet?

0%
I'm not poor

Zero. Nintendo is the best software developer in the world and their products are (often) worth the premium.

You'd need to be retarded to buy a switch 2 in the first place

If an emulator comes out, 100%. I am also 70% likely to buy the console and most first party games regardless.

I genuinely doubt there will be switch 2 piracy/emulation at all. Unless someone goes almost 100% underground with it.

I don't pirate Switch, but I dump my Switch games to emulate them to avoid dog shit performance.

Switch 2 is poised to fix the shit performance of my Switch 1 game collection and that's a good reason to pick one up.
Emulation isn't perfect, I get a lot of random crashes in TotK that takes me out of the game.

That’s what everyone says and then it gets cracked you retarded monkey. You only needed a PAPER CLIP to hack the first launched switches. Let’s not forget the DS. You have absolutely no idea how secure this machine is from being hacked, but since it’s Nintendo then I’m too assume it’ll be cracked in no time. You’re the same person saying the GameCube will never get hacked because it uses tiny disks.

I'm going to spend the $40 to upgrade my two Wilds Zeldas to Switch 2. If Nintendo asks me to buy them again all over then I'm going to fucking do it, because actual good games are so fucking rare that I'm not going to leave these behind. They're going to go down with Chrono Trigger and Bloodborne and Morrowind and Counter Strike as the archetype of their genre.

kek

When the damn thing is $700 it will probably have piracy

I'll pirate cross gen games until the console is hacked. At the time hacking Switch 1 was novel to run things on a portable but now I have a steamdeck so really it depends on how early games get leaked when the time comes, and I'll bet the download key carts are a measure against all that.

I get games on sale anyway.

Very unlikely. I did not emulate Switch either. There are no games worth emulating.

I just think this key system will be a problem. Previously, emulator devs could shield themselves from Nintendo's lawyers accusing them of enabling piracy by saying that *ackshually* everyone is ripping their own cartridges (obviously bullshit but w/e). This may no longer be viable with these keys.
I see no other reason why nintendo would go with this shit, they were clearly mad at emulation scene cutting into their bottom line.

are they going to sell last gen ports for 80/90?

I don't think that helps legally, you can still dump a downloaded game. As the other person said it's probably to stop games leaking a week early. They're just testing the waters though and whether they keep doing it depends on whether it affects sales, so be sure to see that it does

I skipped the switch 1 and emulated instead
I'll probably get the switch 2

Not at all likely. None of those game are interesting to me

honestly they have nothing worth of pirating

The pay is shit

I have pirated all of Nintendo’s consoles and games. Switch 2 will be no different.

two more weeks sister!!!

Don't need to pirate. I'm not poor, so I can afford a switch 2, even with the higher price that's sure to come because of the tarrifs. I also pay for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion so these enhanced versions will be free for me.

free

bait used to be believable

I tend to eventually end up both pirating and buying with nintendo, not necessarily in that order but sometimes like a demo then wanting the real thing for consistency or quality of life and updates

0%, it'll probably take years for anyone to find an exploit. Also I'll be getting the BOTW switch 2 edition because I already own the game and have NSO to get the upgrade pack :^)

CRASH BANDICOOT PS2 EDITION

This.

The thought process of a minimum wagie happy to spend every dime of his savings to make the pain go away for just one more minute. The richest men on earth are the biggest thieves alive.

no additional cost

well yeah, because it is the additional cost

Only if you aren't already paying for that service. If you already were, like me, then it's no additional cost

the more you spend the more you save!

You aren't emulating PS5, anon. Its possible to stop emulation.

That is actually a very nice incentive to pay for the Expansion Pass, if they guarantee that all future upgrades will be included, then it might be worth the price

if they guarantee that all future upgrades will be included, then it might be worth the price

I will gladly give you a hamburger in a year for $10 today.

I agree. Plus the expansion pass family plan is 80 for a year and you add 7 other people, if everyone splits it that's $10 each which is what I do with some online friends

you will own nothing

They have for me. I really don't understand the dickriding apologists here, this a PS4-tier device, going for $450, with $80 dollar games, most of which are first party re-releases that don't even have the decency of having the full game on cart, just a download code to make sure you don't resell it. Add to that a paid manual and a button that requires a subscription fee to turn on (which is already ridiculous, you're paying to use your own internet with your own console and games).

I like Nintendo, but I'm this much of an imbecile, they lost me and I have a pretty big Switch collection. The paid manual is the cherry on top, really. Fuck this console and fuck the bitch manchildren that defend this company.
