Sony would rather partner with Chinese companies than Japanese now unfortunately. It's cheaper to support new studios, bigger domestic market of potential future customers and they don't care about having exclusives for more than 12 months. They'll stay like that until people turn on them

That's old IP and the games aren't new. Bandai Namco takes all the cost of putting out remasters. Sony have more new games coming through China Hero Project than exclusives from Japanese companies. They kept giving money to Square for Final Fantasy XVI, 7 rebirth and Forspoken and they didn't do well so now that partnership is dead.

Third parties haven't delivered for Playstation. It's meant to be a high quality low cost box that enables them to be successful but they'd rather put their games everywhere.
