Honestly, they all make sense in a vacuum for the first four games.But goddamn does it become a mess as they pile up, and with Ultimate in particular it's just really hard to justify since they HAVE to have known how bad the backlash would be even for something as innocuous as Chrom nevermind Byleth. I have to assume he was only put at the end of the first pass since they knew they already had everyone by the balls with the second one anyway.

I never liked the idea of making separate characters as costumes. It looks really dumb when they share the same animations/body/etc. like with the koopalings and Bowser Jr. I remember seeing people say that Shadow should be a Sonic skin but that wouldn't work at all.

Anyone who has played DLATMOL know why I have no fucking promo items? I'm on 16 and I have like 5 units who are already level 19-20 with no promo items to use on them. Found a member card on 15x but I have no clue where the secret shops are because the dev is a fag and refused to share that.

I've never had a problem with all the FE characters because they all play differently enough. Play 3-5 matches back to back with Roy-Marth-Ike and it is easy to tell they all have different gameplans despite their movesets having the same starting template.

So far I've only missed one chest in the entire game because I accidentally crit a boss that ended the map lol. I need multiple more hero crests and elysian whips but I have a feeling that isn't going to happen unless I buy them from a secret shop (which I also have no money for). Idk why hacks can never get resources right. They either give you infinite money and shit to the point that it's boring, or they just give you straight up nothing like this one.

Yeah, she does. Since you're in a bad spot, I'll tell you a hint to find the promo items secret shop so that you can promote your units without scavenging for promo items.
When you make it to Regeant Raum's castle and get the cutscene where he runs up to you before the battle, pay very close attention to his movement during the cutscene. The secret shop is on the most suspicious tile in his path.

Byleth is essentially just another swordfighter, with the only things really keeping them from being one, being cosmetic changes. 2 of their specials are basically just sword swings except this time they're heavier and do more damage. Sora has at least 2 projectiles, is floatier than most other characters in general, and has a semi-unique side special. Byleth is functionally a sword wielder, with no personality, from a game who's overrepresented in the roster relative to it's popularity
