I think indoor areas are great but outside and nature is where it becomes bland and generic.
Reminds me of RDR2 in some way. I know RDR2 is the sacred cow of modern gaming but the colors in lighting in this game is weird to me, like it's more cinematic than it is realistic in a good way. And many modern games including the Remake chase the same look.
KCD is a good example of lighting and color done right.

Xbox 360 was the main audience of Oblivion, which is why the game also sucked ass. It wasn't until Skyrim and a year+ into release that PC rose to dominance.
