Starts slow, ends up becoming the best Mario & Luigi as it goes along. Acquire is a very good developer and I hope they continue.

Clair Obscur for retards

I liked it a lot

too long but it never deserved the shit reception it got from journos

Ugh, people...

Gigakino

The frame drops were unacceptable

The weirsly rare boss fights are cool and Connie makes me want to cry (tears of joy), but the game drags on and on and ON and Bulbfish Island is legit the worst scenario in any of the Mario and Luigi games and made me tap out during my playthrough two months ago.

screenface

silly expressions

acts like a goofball, is actually an absolute menace

Cackletta if she tumblr sexyman

Define tumblr sexyman
I'm tired of people calling every characters that without explaining shit

Too lengthy for its own good, and it definitely has its weak moments, but it was good.
I think it's supposed to be a wacky and insane villain who's not conventionally attractive. but it's become a buzzword to the point where pretty much anything can be called a tumblr sexyman probably

I appreciate that the humor took a different, fresh turn other than just taking the piss on Luigi, but a bit too much visual and slapstick.

Also I got softlocked while picking up a large coin turnip. Mario got stuck on the grabbing animation and calling Luigi didn't pluck out the turnip, and it'd just keep Mario there unable to pull out.

I'm looking at the unopened box right now. this, zelda echoes, pikmin4, tokyo mirage sessions, dragon warrior 11. meanwhile I put 200 hours in mon hun. why can't I just sit down and play a new game? monhun is just all muscle memory that I've been playing for years then trying a new weapon for the first time.

Good but no battle area / post-game let it down

I liked it a lot but it had glaring pacing issues.
Pretty good, solid 7/10, soft 8/10.

There is no 'tumblr sexyman' in brothership
Although Ten is pretty close

Ten.png - 609x841, 257.22K

Too much filler
Sidequests have shit rewards
Very few boss battles
I'm personally not a fan of the characters designs

Honestly i’m half-convinced it was originally gonna be a switch 2 game but when they wanted to delay the system to milk more switches and had a gap in their release schedule they were pushed to backport it to the switch. Hopefully the performance boost of the switch 2 means it runs better

Way too damn long.

best character

The boss fights are good and the sound design is excellent. Very good cues for when do to action commands both visually and aurally. There's too much walking around doing nothing though, what were there 3 islands before you even fight the first boss?

Just sit down and do it nigger. Just do it.

these look less like tumblrshit and more like the sort of thing that mentally ill transsexuals would gravitate towards because they don't have any of those scary human features

this fight gave me AIDS

I liked it a lot once I got all the attacks, don't know what they were thinking doling out basic attacks over the course of 2 hours.

Thank god Twistee island has the best theme
It certainly made the hammer rally minigame feel less excruciating

The coolest

attacks you 10 times in a single turn

dodges all of them

Yoko being removed from the ost is unacceptable, unironically didn't buy because of it

Really good when it eventually gets good. Best combat and animations in the series. Music was hit or miss.

fell asleep during the first hour, probably gonna try it again at some point

Honestly a great 8/10 game. The Plug system is such an idea that you just can't get rid of it in the next game. It's about as integral as badges. The next gimmick needs to focus on bros moves and fix them, because I've seen so many people spam the same fucking conductor pig move to kill the final boss in 2 turns combined with waitaminute. They need to add cooldowns and alts to bros moves or something because it's a bit absurd how you can just spam the same move for such a low cost, BP is never a problem unless you are playing under leveled on purpose.
My biggest gripe with the game is how UGLY the NPCs are and how much they talk, almost SPM tier NPC design slop. We need more Gorumblas and Extension Corps if you see what I mean. Lastly, the next game needs to take from the Lottacoins level structure, M&L needs to focus more into...
Interesting Scenario>Level Design>Boss at the End and just do that 19 times until the end because man there is a lot of dead space in the game, like in Sea 3 only having 1 fucking boss. And jam the next game into 25 hours max and everyone will love it.

There are some great tunes in the Brothership OST (and I'd say the battle theme is one of the best in the series), but overall, it does feel weaker compared to other soundtracks in the series. You're unironically retarded if that's the one thing that keeps you from playing the game, though

I mean thats not the only thing, i did hear about pacing issues and they've been getting worse since BIS, but it's a major fucking deal breaker.
She's still doing great work and its a core part of the series identity and i'm not going to pretend that outing someone who has still been putting out great work isn't going to bug the shit out me

Does it have a postgame? It's the one thing these games mostly lack that I hate.

What I Liked
-Aesthetics are pleasant and they made the new art style work for the Switch installment.
-Gameplay is very solid for the most part.
-Soundtrack was fine. New composer/composers did alright.
-Story was interesting with what they chose to do with it.

What I Didn't Like
-Performance. The framerate getting worse, with more people on your home base the further in your game you were, was annoying, and/or in general. Hopefully it runs better on the Switch 2 or they address this in some way in the future.
-This game needed more boss fights. Only one member of the Extension Corps is fought by himself, while the other two is only fought at the end, as part of the whole group. Omissions like that is questionable. Maybe have more of Bowser's top minions as bosses for the islands that didn't have one as well.
-No optional boss gauntlet which Bowser's Inside Story, Dream Team, and Paper Jam had. Another omission.

Enjoyable game, that hopefully gets updated in some ideal way in the future.

Dropped it after rescuing Luigi at some business building a couple of months ago... I intend on coming back but it's just not the best M&L... gameplay-wise is fun, story-wise is meh so far and music-wise is pretty damn mid which is blasphemous for a M&L game, I remember being so annoyed at the music from the theme park island I had to mute the tv.

If that's just one of the reasons, then yeah, I understand. Honestly, the biggest problem with Brothership is that you really have to give it a chance, which means sitting through the slooow beginning and other badly-paced moments. Once you do, you realize it IS a good M&L and has the potential to be even better. I'm holding out hope for the next game.

I turned on my switch and DMC3 special edition was in sleep mode now I'm beating demon ass trying to find jewels to put in jewels slots to open doors. fug mane and before you ask of course im only stingering through doors.

Next game

Anon...

It was an increase in shareholds, not the buyout people said it would be

Really good. Fun story. Plug System is great. Bros. Attacks rule as usual. Got a bit attached to some of the Concordians. Ending made me tear up a little.

should i get brothership or echoes of wisdom? both are around $42-$45 physical on woot

I have like 100 switch games over ( including the ones I downloaded ) but I finished the night time island with the dude stealing some eggs because that issues and I think my next is going to be the lava and Ice One.But I'm enjoying it so far. Also isn't the main point of ice skating in Japanese anime it's the basically take a very generic protagonist with an ordinary life and put them into a world of you're the chosen one? Both Mario and Luigi save the day In the end like numerous times by and I definitely not normal Ordinary People where they come from.

Dropped it because the loading screens inbetween each battle were unbearable

is brothership worth $45?

Only Extension Corps character with his own boss fight

This game was so weirdly stingy with its boss fights. Could they not come up with enough Luigi Logic scenarios to accompany them or something?

LET'S TWIST AGAIN
LIKE WE DID LAST SUMMER
LET'S TWIST AGAIN
LIKE WE DID LAST YEEEAAAR
DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN
THINGS WERE REALLY HUMMIN'

Brothership. Long time Zelda fan, Enjoy all the older titles and BOTW, but Hated TOTK, I thought EOW was very mediocre. Maybe like 20 bucks max if you're dying for 2D Zelda.

I didn't bother proceeding with it after the forced qte's with an extremely faggy-looking luigi and being told to make sacrifices to idols for a tutorial.

Both are bad but Brothership is less bad. Echoes of Wisdom was a nothingburger tech demo game that was promptly and rightfully forgotten.

Cool. I ended up getting Brothership along with Xenoblade Chronicles X for $50

You have to be a woman to get it

4/10, it's not great.

Where is the brothership yaoi?
