Elder Scrolls has a never ending list of problems in each and every game, but it's still miles better than Fallout and lightyears better than Starfield. The Bethesda "stays out of its own way" open world format works best for fantasy games.
Microsoft should have never greenlit Avowed. Like hey, here's your diet Elder Scrolls published by the same company. Obsidian should just be the monkeys making those in-between TES and Fallout games like New Vegas if Microsoft wanted to use their purchasing of both Bethesda and Obsidian correctly.

Assets don’t load in from BSA/NIF files like they usually do in Beth games. I think all the original game assets are in the remaster but the game was modified to not read those and instead read UE5 asset files instead. So mods that change game logic all still work for the most part as do the original console commands, but loading in new assets is a different story now but it seems people are already figuring that part out too

The actual gameplay mechanics are weak at times, but it is also ironically the best RPG series to actually roleplay in. It being dumbed down probably allows for that. I beat BG3 feeling unfulfilled because the game just eventually tells me how to play, otherwise my character just does no damage.
