I'm not buying a console with no physical games

Who buys third party games on nintendo consoles? They always run poorly.

reminder that all of Nintendo's games are on the carts

Third party games define who the winner of a console generation is

Third party games are not important for a console.

new snoy cope just dropped

You will own nothing and be happy.

I think if we banned schizos that make the same bait thread 10 times a day this board would improve. Tranny jannies clean it up.

You are not Japanese
You will never be Japanese

who cares

Nintendo deserves all the piracy it gets.

This cope again.

Exclusives define a winner.

nintendo puts all their full games in cartridges

REEEEE HOW DARE YOU

steam kills physical games on pc

I OWN NOTHING AND I'M HAPPY, THANKS GABEN

physical games

on PC

Show us a photo of your tower still having a DVD/CD-ROM entrance.

You don't buy physical games from Steam, dumbass. Nintendo is selling empty cartridges

It's not fully bait, the social media intern at gematsu is just retarded and assumed it'll be the same case everywhere only to be corrected by the comments later

fine
don't buy a PS5 then

Good thing it has physical games then!
Contrast with the PS5, no games whatsoever, physical or not.

If Nintendo goes off or pulls the cord it's gone.
If steam canned my account tomorrow i still own at least 100 games i have installed.

I don't really get the absolute hate towards key-cards. I think a lot of people are misinformed and think it's basically a code in a box, but in cart form. It isn't.
Key-cards are almost entirely the same as physical, with the only exception being the initial download of the game. Otherwise, you can lend it out or sell it or whatever. Like I get preferring the whole game to be on the cart, I do as well, but if those carts cost publishers 16 dollars for every single copy, it's no wonder they aren't up for that. If it's between key-cards or all-digital, I think key-cards are absolutely preferable.
That said, full physical is still more preferable than key-cards, and hopefully costs of carts will go down quickly to help make them more common. I'm not trying to be an absolute boot-licker here, but I've seen a lot of people balk at key-cards and say "guess I'm going all-digital, then!" as if somehow the benefits of digital over key-cards are any different than with full physical.

Another generation of third party publishers doing the bare minimum and then wondering why Nintendo owners only buy Nintendo games

I don't really get the absolute hate towards key-cards

There's nothing to get. It's concern trolling.

why do guys hate the fact your game disappears once the servers go offline?

You don't buy physical games from Steam

exactly, because steam killed game ownership on pc and you celebrate it like a good cuck

You own your games and never get around to playing them.
I play my games to 100% completion and then never boot them up again.
We are not the same.

I guarantee almost everyone crying about this uses steam

It’s only bad when Nintendo does it

Wii Shop Channel games that people purchased are still able to be re-downloaded. You'll likely be in the grave by the time you can no longer re-download your digital Switch 2 games.

I knew the death of physical games was coming but If you asked me a while back who was going to first I honestly thought Microsoft was going to be the one that ushered in our dystopian new era.
Lets be honest as a filthy pirate I went all digital years ago. DRM free digital is vastly superior format anyways. No skin off my back.

i wish Steam offered someway to get a USB drive shipped out with the game data instead of having to download it

It's okay because other companies do it too.

Yes you are.

So you still need the card to be inserted in the console for the game to work even after the download?

The people crying about this don't even play videogames. It's all third worlders in countries like India and the Philippines phone posting.
They don't own computers, they don't own consoles, they couldn't buy a videogame even if they wanted to. They have no dog in this race and are just arguing with strangers online to pass time with the opinions they received from watching youtubers and twitch streamers

Oh I heckin love my steam deck so much!!!!

No cartridge, no buy. fuck you nintendo.

bravely default makes no sense
Thats a fucking DS game
they are just being cheap bastards

let me guess if i buy one of these second hand, i will have to pay jewtendo a small fee to play it

it's okay when other companies do it (i only complain on Anon Babble when it's nintendo because i hate them)

It's called an optical disc and it's how PC games were sold before Valve psyop'd everyone into thinking paying for a license to download a file was better than buying a physical thing you can keep forever.

No, you just have to download the game.

this destroys their narrative so they'll just ignore it

I trust valve to maintain their online infrastructure long into the future. You can still download delisted games if it is in your library. Nintendo will have a long track record of shuttering their services when they deem something is End of Life. I don't trust them to maintain online infrastructure.

yeah

you can just make backup copies as many as you want, yeah its not ideal but dont act as if your games will be auto deleted from your system when the SW3 comes out

Nintendo will have a long track record of shuttering their services when they deem something is End of Life.

This is a bold-faced lie.
To this day you can still re-download everything you bought on the Wii U eshop, the 3DS eshop, and even the Wii Shop Channel and DSiware shop.
They have exactly the same track record on keeping access to digital purchases alive as Steam does at the moment.

It's funny, they keep on making these lies over and over thinking they can change the narrative but in reality it just prompts people to correct them.

Third party games define who the winner of a console generation is

Switch 1 won the generation and barely anyone bought third party games for it.
