zoomers finally being redpilled on Skyrim being the worst TES game in the franchise
What a year
zoomers finally being redpilled on Skyrim being the worst TES game in the franchise
What a year
Frog poster make a bad take
Many such cases
gen x here, Skyrim is by far the best of the TES games
30 years old giga boomer here, also confirming.
First TES was Oblivion, have completed all the 3 mainline ones (tried daggerfall, it sucked, you guys also tried it and hated it too, quit larping on Anon Babble).
Skyrim will always be better than Oblivion. The one thing Oblivion has over it (sure as shit isn't combat, sure as shit isn't enemy variety, sure as shit isn't the magic system) is quests and Oblivions quests being so "top tier" is the main reason it had the smallest longevity out of Morrowind/Skyrim community wise.
There's zero replay value to them. They're designed like modern day Naughty Dog missions.
quest about a boat inn getting hijacked
quest about a man stuck in a painting
the stolen painting in Chorrol
entire Dark Brotherhood plot twist
All are absolutely 10/10 quest designs for a single playthrough only. Replays of Oblivion and the novelty is gone, I know about the pirates (and the options to pass the dialogue checks), I know who stole the painting, I know where the painter is and I know what's gonna happen to my nigga Lucien Lachance.
Skyrims gameplay framework and sheer volume of quests, areas allowed it to be modded so much that there's now modlists that are likely going to be better than TES 6 on release anyway (Lorerim for one that i've recently tried out).
Skyrim > Morrowind > Oblivion
Those are just the facts (Morrowind has the worst combat and the worst quests in the franchise)
Don't @ me, fans of the less relevant entries.
frog website
saar
Morrowind is best though.
only good thing to say about skyrim is that it has mods
That means you like mods and skyrim is a terrible game you dumb nigger.
It's close because they're good for different reasons but I think Skyrim wins out just barely
More like boomers finally realizing that Oblivion is in fact the worst of the 3
Both of them are shit, purely propped up by mods and the ability to see that mountain and climb it.
I genuinely do not understand the appeal, the games are so fucking bad, some of the worst combat and dialogue I have ever seen in any game ever.
Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim all have pros and cons unique to them, If you combined the best parts of each you'd probably get the greatest game ever made. But Bethesda always fixes one thing while fucking up something else in the process
OblivionCHADs knew this from day 1. Now everyone knows that oblivion is simply the best game in the world not just the best TES game.
only good thing to say about Skyrim is mods
Best combat
Best dungeons
Most enemy variety
Most content
Best DLC
Best magic system
Skyrim has the best base game out of all of them. It just also happens to have the greatest modding scene in gaming period, let alone compared to its irrelevant boomer older brothers
if true why didnt you say any of that originally? Oh yeah, because these are all lies and youre only saying it because you were called out for being a mod tranny and nothing else.
so nothing that matters.
oblivion had better magic and story.
skyrim
best magic
So youve only played skyrim and no other game or you have some overhaul mod and think that is skyrims magic
Chad posters are flaming homosexuals with bad takes and taste.
those conversations are dumb as fuck ,there's pro&cons. Both games are cool and fun and great games.
oblivion lets you stalk innocent town folks after receiving a quest from a schizo dwarf then lets you turn one of them in to be butchered or get attacked by him for working with them.
where's that sort of based choice in skyrim huh
Morrowind>Skyrim>Oblivion
I've played quite a few dungeons in the remaster I still don't see how Skyrim's dungeons are better.
Its the same shit.
Oblivions has MUCH more enemy variety as well, from goblins and wisps and minotaurs to various Xivilai daedroth(oblivion residents) etc etc not to Shivering Isle enemies which has its own ecosystem.
How does skyrim have more enemy variety my fucking sides.
best dlc
That's shivering Isles
best magic system
That's morrowind and oblivion.
most content
This is also debatable, tbqh playing right now I didn't remember how massive oblivion is content wise.
not to mention*
The worst one is oblivion
I've played all of them.
I've only completed Skyrim and Oblivion though, because Morrowind was shit. And looking at that 800 player count on Steam, i'm gonna take a guess and say you ain't playing Morrowind either.
LMAO
Best dungeons
Most content
Best magic system
These are all Morrowind. Skyrim probably does win on combat and enemy variety but every TES game has horrible combat and enemy design.
the worst TES is just the first one, the rest of them are all 10/10 games until the 15-20 hour mark then it becomes a matter of which one do you tolerate the most (Skyrim is "comfy", Oblivion has "mechanics", Morrowind has "freedom", Daggerfall has "content") until the end of times since no sequel or any game from a different series will hit the exact same way your favorite elder scrolls does.
Oblivions has MUCH more enemy variety as well,
This is just factually incorrect
elderscrolls.fandom.com
elderscrolls.fandom.com
And i'm intentionally not including DLCs because Skyrim had bigger ones/more. But I can if you want.
That's shivering Isles
There's a reason you only listed one of the DLCs. Dawnguard/Dragonborn > Shivering Isles/Knights of the Nine/Horse Armor
That's morrowind and oblivion.
Just simply not true.
This is also debatable,
Factually incorrect again for the same reason as the enemy variety.
I don't know why you would argue things that we can literally count like Enemy Variety or overall content.
At least argue the strictly subjective shit like "best DLC" or "Magic system".
these are all Morrowind
Nigga what the fuck is a Morrowind.
Go make a Morrowind thread, we're discussing Elder Scrolls here.
Agreed although Skyrim gets close to the same level of quest quality with Dawnguard.
Extremely based. Oblitrannies and Morrotrannies btfo. Oblivion and Morrowind are good games, but Skyrim is overall better. Even the magic functions better in Skyrim even though there’s less variety and you can’t create spells.
Morrowind is worse than skyrim. The only defense of it is the lore. But if you only care about lore you might as well read a book
oblivion with shivering isles>morrowind>skyrim>vanilla oblivion
Now this is an extremely shit take lmao
if tesvi doesnt have stats and birthsign on character creation it's actually fucking over
worst TES game is Morrowind, it really needs a remake.
None of the Elder Scrolls games are good. Play real RPGs you retards.
Millennials praising the abysmal dogshit that is oblivion because their corporate substitute fathers paid their influencer substitute mothers to tell them to shill a remake for free is so funny to me. An entire generation turned into domesticated dogs.
what is this schizo babble
which ones are those, tableslop or turnbased dice roll trash?
Tl;dr Watashi thinks that your life is a joke desu ne.
when Morrowind gets remastered it will be the greatest game off all time, not just greatest TES game. Pure RPG kino and no level scaling combined with updated graphics and quality of life improvements.
Games like “Divinity: Original Sin” or “Baldur’s Gate” are boring dogshit.
Yes, because in those games you can actually roleplay and engage with the systems without breaking immersion with obtuse level scaling system and game mechanics that are trivial to exploit. It says something when every TES game needs a dozen mods in order to be a balanced experience.
No, the best defense is that the gameplay and mechanics aren't dumbed down for retards and shitskins, the lore is just a really good compliment.
the TES games aren't boring, as long as you install a mod that fixes the level/item scaling, and you don't use any of the easily exploitable alchemy mechanics. just craft a training spell that costs 1 magicka to train anything to level 100 within the first 30 minutes, they're soulful kino games bro.
Yes, for the first few fights, that’s fun. However, by the 30th, having to cycle the same cycle to get the job done again is shit. Complexity doesn’t always equal good. Sometimes, it’s better to keep it simple and easy.
I play Skyrim both modded and unmodded depending on the mood. The only mods I do use are mods which update the graphical fidelity of the game, fix bugs, or add a little more immersive elements to it. I never change the combat or actually gameplay because I enjoy Skyrim’s simplicity as well as its environment more than some arbitrary rpg elements that would only detract from said exploration and adventuring.
The gameplay is ass its so dull its one of the few games i couldnt be bothered to finish the main quest. Game is basically an autism test
What are you on about you selective memory mongoloid? If you've completed a quests in any of the three games, you know what is to come if you repeat that quest in a following playthrough
