Nintendo has been pushing Donkey Kong hard, due to all of the Donkey Kong games on Nintendo Switch Online, with the Game Boy Color port of DKC1, the GBA ports of the Donkey Kong Country trilogy, and Donkey Kong 64 very likely going to be released, on top of Mine Cart Madness at the Universal parks. On top of a rumored Donkey Kong movie.

The game looks so empty and boring even before you destroy the environment. The first 3D DK game since the N64 and they make it a shitty gimmick game. Not sure what they were thinking with this one.

the items come in the form of being found, being obtained in a platforming segment, and a bit of both interweaving.
it's a 3D platformer that uses the hardware in an interesting way
It's more like BotW where the world is filled with shrines and mini challenges that reward Bananas or whatever

The issue with odyssey was that the moons you collected were dime-a-dozen. Turn any corner, find any small alcove, or even climb some suspicious area and you’ll find a moon. The game had so many they didn’t feel rewarding to collect them at all since you had to do almost nothing to get them. The worst part was that it was a deliberate choice they made. And now with bananza it seems they’ve learned nothing despite it being odyssey’s biggest complaint and will repeat the same thing here
well personally, I don't play games like Minecraft and want it to be a pain in the ass to find resources. I'm not gonna be butthurt if there's some "easy" "moons" to get sometimes.
