Stardew Valley

Are horses actually worth the huge cash investment?

Apple Farm .jpg - 1024x576, 187.23K

I think filling your farm with fairy roses is the best investment by far and wide.

are you a girl

Frog 4.jpg - 770x600, 74.62K

yeah you go faster

Haley, my love.

Any modding guides for

harem

portrait edits (anime)

sex animations

expanded content

Etc. That all work together?
Bonus if it works on the mobile version.

when's the futa jas drawing finished
yes they are

the mobile version

not a chance

Well thats just a bonus, i don't really care if it doesn't. It just doesn't seem like the modding community is cooperating enough to have all mods work together, outside of all the anons making loli mods.
I don't care if tgey are the solution I just want to know which mods break which other mods and which ones I can use an appealing portrait pack with.

portrait edits are usually independent of conflict with other mods
honestly I don't know of any conflicts I have in my heavily modded game but there definitely isn't much in the way of cooperation between mods

Well idk which portrait packs would work with sex mods that strip the base portraits nude for animations or however that shit works. I imagine none of them would work together.

No
Aren't there de/recompiling tools or something? You need that just to edit the portraits last I checked so you could manually combine the mods yourself and edit the image files

Yes, the movement speed in this game is terrible. I remember when I started playing the game for the first time. I actually thought my character was stuck in "walk mode". So I messed around with the game configuration, only to learn that I was indeed "running" in-game and that walking was even slower.

You have to buy books in order to get decent movement speed, ugh!

This is not 2016, dude. Nobody uses xnb mods anymore unless you want to explode your game.

Each day is a time limit, and going places takes time. Shortening that time means you can do more in a day, so yes, any source of speed is worth it.

Only zoomers who started playing fortnite think the game is "too slow".

Graveyard Keeper is better

Isekai graveyard keeper

I need to finish this game one of this days

I wish buildings were less expensive in this game, I don't think anything that involves a building is cost-effective compared to pure farming/fishing/mining. The silo is suitably cheap I guess?

They actually pay some of the cost back by themselves assuming you collect them turn them into cheese & mayo yourself for around a full year

gives you another target to progress towards

Do trees draw lightning strikes like lightning rods? I've been keeping trees around my farm and i've taken like no damage to my crops during summer. I might have gotten lucky but I feel as if the trees have been tanking hits.

did this game ever get any content?

Yes

To this day I still think that "prank" was mean spirited

Portraits are their own file that just replaces sprites they don't conflict with anything but other portrait mods, put the most important portraits last in load order, play porn games for sex not sdv, play expanded if you want "more content" most other things are visual like furniture packs this game is girlslop and is reflected in the modding community

Lightning strikes completely random tiles, though are far more likely to hit ones with Lightning Rods on them. Trees are as likely to be hit as any other tiles.

WHERE THE FUCK IS IT?

I need a modding guide

>don't modding tools solve this for you?

>>lolno we use DIFFERENT modding tools now!

Why are you asking how to mod if you know how to mod and don't want advice?

Sup, I'm the anon from the last thread with the farm that had just a basic coop in year 2. Just a little undeveloped.

The tide is turning, bros. Now I have a barn and 2 cows!

barn.jpg - 1439x899, 317.73K

Sorry, SDV is still selling. Wait 3-4 years

Different people can reply to you here, newfag-kun. Also your advice is clearly shit given that its grossly outdated, keep it to yourself.

based cow enjoyer

You didn't reply to the other anon yet know the answer to his question.
Curious.

abandoned on ios

no thanks

Is right everyone uses vortex now, manually adding mods to SDV is a pain in the ass the XNB era of modding made it not worth playing anything other than Vanilla

I'm fucking lazy, so drag and drop files is so dificult for me to do

No one here use vortex because how incompatible is with the game. No one support you here, lazy bastard

Yeah it got multiple dlcs.
Love the game because you can become a necromancer just to force zombies to do manual labor

using a launcher so incompatible with SDV modding it outrights delete files from mods

You fit right in on the stupidity scale along with the xnb dumbass.

Sounds like you're both retarded to me since I've had 0 issues with vortex in my years and 1k+ hours of playing modded sdv. Self reporting in this thread is embarrassing

Thanks bro. This is the current layout of my farm.

I'm hoping these rice crops by the lake make me some money because I'm broke after buying the barn and cows.

current.png - 1280x1040, 1.91M

honestly no. until you can get the horse whistle, which is already the end of the game, its much more convenient to just stack speed boosts. Expresso and spicy eel are your friend

anyone who says yes doesnt really play the game

meant for

he doesn't know that speed buffs affect the horse

I just hate baby sitting the damn thing and always forget it somewhere. Plus its inconvenient for farming and you cant mine cart with it. Basically its only uses are

getting to wizard/secret forest faster

maybe getting to robin faster

getting to that faggot Pierre faster

Otherwise its whatever

gaslight and lies attempt with 0 evidence to prove himself

You're wrong and a fucking liar. Even if by chance you don't have any issue, no one here support you. We don't find dificult to update the mods manually when all you have to do is drag and drop files. Good luck with your vortex, lazy bastard.

Untitled-5.jpg - 763x131, 19.03K

Absolutely yes! Tho horse is definitively one of the best things in the game.
It's a game changer when you get it. You just gain so much more freedom of movement and efficiency and the game gets a lot more chillaxed and les stressful.

Meh, once everything is automated you may as well play a different game.

lFiyo_.png - 1916x1080, 133.13K

Looks like shit

Could have been alright without that fucking retarded weekly schedule thing, what the fuck were they thinking

There's an "end game" wasn't this supposed to be endless?

each year is 40 hours, community center requires things from each season

every upgrade is a considerably large investment of time

even your interactions with characters require upkeep or you will lose your 'friendship'

i am going to disagree with you. i don't think the walking speed is specifically a problem but this is an extremely slow paced game

can I marry a little girl in this game?

Should have added wifes

Goth wife

Clumsy necromancer wife

Zombie wife

Ghost wife

I need to start a new farm but I know it's just going to lead to me making a planting calendar spreadsheet and kegging the world again.

Your character was already married though hes also dead so

Finally raining, I'll do like the anon from yesterday's thread said and go straight for the mines since I don't have to water anything and push hard, try to reach at least level 45.

stardewrain.jpg - 1439x899, 462.66K

why even bother with this garbage, then?

Harlot bitch

Because I like to tend graves and use peoples corpses as crafting components and make zombies from them to do manual labor.
Also the sprite work is good. The devs have good artists for their games

Rice

I'm sorry anon. Youd be better off planting like 40 potatoes. I'm curious why you have so few crops in the first place

Horses are worth it in single player. One thing to keep in mind is in single player, while any animation is playing or text pop-up time stops. That means getting on/off the horse is free. Despite it taking real time it doesn't eat up in game time. It will make your days go farther as travel time is what eats up your in game time the most.

Just hit level 40 and found a slingshot.

I'm curious why you have so few crops in the first place

I spent nearly all I had to buy a barn and 2 cows. I'm gonna forage and fish like a madman whenever I'm not mining now.

I always quit the game after the first year. By then I usually have a good source of income from sprinklers and casks and whatever the fuck so I kind of lose motivation. Can you actually beat the game and are there mods that make this worth coming back to?

Borderline nonexistent.
Game wasn't really that popular compared to stardew.

I'm somewhat hesitant to give the horse that much credit on account of the minecarts, I always buy it anyway but I feel like I'm not saving THAT much time for any destination that isn't going to Pierre's or the CC

The final "beat the game" state is achieving 100% which gets you the ending reel and involves maximizing profit to make 10 million+ gold but besides that there's at least a fair amount of further goals after the original Community Center clear goal from launch

so, I cannot mod lolis into the game in order to fix it?

I made it to level 46 in the mines and found some new gems I had not seen before. I know I'm supposed to donate one of each new gem to the museum but once I do that should I always sell the extra ones?

Gems are good gifts, should keep them if you're not broke.

Sure, but you should keep few in hand for occasional gift.
Also there is one special order quest, where you need like one of each gem.

It's shit. I'm convinced you must be from some discord group desperate to revive interest in this game, but it's just so fucking shit.

Get your ass to the mines already

Keep one of each, that way you can always (slowly) grow more with a crystallarium.

should I always sell the extra ones?

No. Gems can be bartered to the desert merchant (especially Emeralds which are like a second currency), or given as gifts since a few of the NPCs really love them (Clint, Emily, and the Dwarf to name a few).

What is this guy's problem?

kent.jpg - 1439x899, 384.42K

Barn

Well at least you get daily milk out of it. I'd suggest always spending a bit of cash each season on crops to make sure you constantly grow your total money. Barn upgrades are gonna cost you a fortune

Did you somehow miss the part where he was a war prisoner? Jesus Christ, you're dumb.

He's a soldier. He has PTSD. He has to live with the knowledge his wife probably got fucked by some guy (me) while he was in Gotoro.

he was a war prisoner

He wasn't. He was a soldier tho. Totally diferent

He doesn't like eggs

They made him eat ALL the eggs.

“This... They gave this to me in Gotoro prison camp. I've been trying to forget about that. *shudder*.”

What's worse, coming home to find out your wife got fucked by the new farmer or to find out your son is gay for the new farmer guy and that he's the bottom?

SVE?

Base fucking game.
Go on and give him sashimi, tortila or anything univerally hated.

hated.png - 1117x420, 53.33K

Why not both?

Why do SVE fags think everything belongs to their mod instead of just being, you know, part of the vanilla game? This shit mod really is a fucking plague on the community.

agreed

So many people played SDV modded without ever playing it vanilla first. So they legitimately don't know what is base game and what isn't.

I love her, bros.

haleygift.jpg - 1439x899, 413.2K

Nice find anon!

Just started playing this game for the first time. Should I be planting all the spring seeds or are some better than others

year 2

only at level 40 in the mines

I honestly don't get how anyone can be this slow and bad at a game like Stardew Valley even if its a first playthrough.

She's just smiling at me... Menacingly!

I love this purple child so much.

Do anything you feel like and experiment, don't worry about minmaxing

It's surprising to me too, but there are people who don't obsessively minmax and optimize their start.
