Why did you quit warframe?
Why did you quit warframe?
because becca is not my wife
I started playing recently, but I hit a wall pretty quickly. haven't logged in for a few days.
I quit like 10 years ago.
I think it was because I completed a weapon after waiting for like 12 hours and it said I couldn't get it because I was out of slots or something.
Too much grind. Story/Gameplay have some nice moments, but it's a grinding game in the end.
In some ways it's slightly too good of a game to be a skinnerbox paypig trap game.
I had a sliver of hope that Rebecca would do more than being more competent than Steve.
To make the game good and enjoyable long term, it would require a sustainable business model. That would require turning Warframe into a completely different game. The Chinese overlords sure as hell won't stand for that, no matter if Rebecca gets it or not.
it just kept getting worse and worse, until I couldn't take it anymore. Too much jank, too much grind.
I didn't
taking a break atm, last time i played was during operation jade shadows
why
i don't know what the fuck to do in that game anymore
i don't have my shit minmaxed and it already comfortably clears all content
even doing sp level cap cascade is just piss easy nowadays
feels like they reduced the overall difficulty by actively giving strength to the players + armor rework was a big hit on the content
theres very little to accomplish anymore, the only thing i can be proud of is how much plat i can hoard
even the arcanes aren't rare anymore, everything is dirt cheap
No content
updates are too fucking slow
From the porn I seen of it I thought it was gonna be a good wank game. I stopped playing 5 minutes in when I realized all the sexy armor was paywalled or I had to play 500 hours to unlock them
Played for a couple days and it was just the same thing no matter what mission is was. Go to room, kill waves of dudes then go to next room.
once you've made a few strong builds and seen all the content it becomes an incredibly tedious game
crafting times
then came back and quit because of tridelons
then came back and quit because of railjack
then came back and quit because of aoe nerf
then came back and quit because of fomo events
i'm back to farming 1999 for now
looks like everything is coated in vaseline
unoptimized, crashed to desktop frequently
Maybe it's better now, but I can't be arsed to return.
i had my fun
700+ hours
anyone in these threads has never soloed ETA/EDA and it shows
The gameplay loop wasn't good enough to sustain my attention and outweigh the grind. Adding tits and ass sooner might have held my interest a bit longer, but getting bored was probably always the inevitable outcome because this game just does not respect your time.
Took too long to get new toys against the endless grind. Though the grind was damn satisfying.
ANOTHER content island faction rep grind
has shitty type chat added to it and cringe romance
ANOTHER meme grind for min/max weapons
in like 2013-14 i played a little and it was alright but the crafting time previewed a gross grind/timesink so uninstalled and never looked back
I feel like when you're flying through the maps deleting everything through walls it's a good signal that you 'beat the game' so to speak.
Decisive Judgement is still bugged and I didn't really care about 1999.
I didn't. I started playing two weeks ago and it's a fun game. Anon Babble seems to hate it for some reason though.
i have no idea if they fixed this since this was 6+ years ago but the lack of vertical progression was the main reason, once you got powerful enough to do the hardest content the only new content added to the game was either equal difficulty or even easier making getting stronger completely pointless
I started playing recently. Too bad they're moving away from 1999, I liked it.
Got boring after a dozen hours.
Ctrl+Space spam everywhere, hold m1 to win. Never got to a point where "build" matters because no difficulty and most of everything is locked behind 24hr crafting cooldowns.
not enough rebecca ford goon fuel
I hate content islands, with the dev time they put into this shit it could be a star citizen like world by now.
Faceless space ninja
Add (ugly) face to faceless space ninja
Game ruined
Didn't quit, just don't play daily anymore. Reason is pretty simple, I have nothing I want to do in the game right now. Having to suffer through lvl500 overguarded enemies that only take damage when I'm in dicksucking range with a loadout of MR fodder weapons in EDA/ETA just to get archon shards which I haven't found a single use for to this day just isn't something I'm interested in. I'll play more again when we get the next big update and then take another break.
Drifter is a non-character and having it supplant the Operator was bullshit.
Rebb did great for the gameplay. Terrible for the story.
The content islands and constant grind broke me which was inevitable.
I'm waiting for Styanax prime
wasn't having fun
Is this game fun?
if you like crafting weapons
this. its too good but technically it done its job with the platinum discounts and trade economy encouraging you to barter for big asses
Too many different mini games and shit with long grinds to get items that are mandatory for many builds.
No I don't want to do this open world slop or fishing or whatever. I just want to go into a procedurally generated linear map, flip the FUCK out for 15 minutes, get my loot and leave.
Railjack was cool but it's also very basic and the actual space combat feels like busywork before you can do the real mission on foot.
I forget why I quit the first time but all the subsequent quitting was because of all the shit I'd missed from the times I wasn't playing and my unwillingness to grind all those systems and shit concurrently. Oh right, the first time was partially my fault because I liked the elephant gun shotguns like the Tigris and the information about Titania was a little unclear to me and I thought I could be a 1 foot tall fairy flying around with an elephant gun but the reality is you are stuck with built in SMGs in fairy mode and I was disappointed and stopped playing.
Its fun but you almost need to get a friend to teach you how to get powerful early. Your weapons will be weak fast, and will stay weak unless you learn how to mod your weapon inline with optimal damage, then get a frame that can do everything in the game.
I think all you really need to have fun is a game with good movement mechanics, and this really is it. There is a huge gap of difference between console warframe users, and PC users who can move around rooms like a bullet
fucking standing caps
fucking crafting time
fucking astronomical numbers of crafting materials
fucking arsenal slots
fucking forma resetting weapon ranks
How am I suppose to play the game when countless fillers get in the way?
Sex with robot men
Most of the weapons and frames look like jeetshit or just actual tumors I can't stand that the game expects you to grind out everything when so much of it is so ugly.
Because I beat all missions there were and went to play other games. No way I am farming some gay suit parts or something by killing the same "boss"... It was like 12 years ago
I also paid $5 for some color palette because I had fun for a few days
Multiplayer game with tons of guns and abilities to use and experiment with
Some frames have one move that just nukes the map
It stops being playable really fast
someone teach me how to make plat lol i just started this shit
Well, a good way is to get rivens every week. Some you get from Iron Wake, and one you probably get from the sortie. Could sell them unrolled for 20p-ish, or open them to gamba if you get a meta weapon and sell it for 50-400p, even if the riven itself was dogshit
a bit over 3k hours in, just managing burnout until the next major update/nightwave.
farm shit no one wants to farm? rare mods in bounties, the newly released prime items from relics, or lato vandal/some other tradable weapons that's tedious to farm. People in this thread that think the game is too much of a chore will pay plat to have it
I just want a resolution to the man in the wall's story but I don't want to fucking wait 20 years to see it.
Syndicate mods will be your very first "grind". Usually always someone who wants them in trading chat, can easily sell for 10 plat per mod.
I played at the beginning when the only available Frames were Blade and Volt but after the community manager said "losers" instead of "gamers" I left.
Personally, it's walking Chernobyl man for me.
It was hard to figure out what I'm supposed to do at some point. And no, I'm not opening a fucking wiki. Games should be self-explanatory.
Games should be self-explanatory.
sure, but you could put a little bit of effort and explore your surroundings, then you'll inevitably find your way, you know, play the game.
Not him, but it's worse for new players now. Shit like Heart of Deimos is mandatory to leave Mars now. So the game forces you into three open-world forever-grind segments before you can even get an archwing to fly around them properly.
The order of progression in this game is fucked. You would have no idea what you're doing, but what you can do takes hours and hours.
before you can even get an archwing
that has to be the biggest blunder in the new player experience, they should give a basic archwing before new players leave earth.
I got in during the war within actually got in during early closed beta, but didn't enjoy the game at the time where they had just introduced junctions, shit was buggy as fuck but it gave nice direction.
feature creep is fucked up
Yeah, I joined in Plains of Eidolon and had some friends telling me what to do, but it was basically to just follow what the Junctions had as requirements, and then what things to NOT repeat from those (like grinding the secret gardens with those perfumes or whatever).
New players have WAAAAAY more than that going on now. You're required to do Fortuna as your second Venus mission now. Think about that for a second. The game throws TWO open-world grinds at you from the start, then when you wrap back around to Mars you get a third.
At the very least, there should be an infographic telling people what to focus on. But even Heart of Deimos would be offputting and retarded.
Here's a planet of dysfunctional infested family members, now use Transference on this Nechramech. What's Transference? Oh, we won't tell you that tutorial until War Within, which is after Neptune, a planet you won't reach until 30 hours from now!
Had fun fucking around doing whatever
Introduce niggerwaves
Stop playing
It was that simple
I've seen people walk away from the game because they want to do group content and then get gated by the solo-only stuff. They just refuse to do it and walk away.
They stopped doing the plot shit, and it basically functions as a cashless battlepass now. It's much better, but it makes Alerts feel worthless.
I stopped playing 5 years ago. The movement and crunchy headshots and amassing of power sucked me in for a good 500 hours, but once I had what I liked maxed out there was no good reason to continue.
I had seen everything unique and worthwhile at that point, and what was left was levelling new guns for the sake of it or pushing against a terrible grind wall for single percentage points of power with diminishing returns. I have better things to do with my time, and every time I think about the game again and look up what's going on, I'm only reinforced against going back.
See the amount of mindless grinding needed for a single Warframe
Limited Warframe slots for some reason
Uninstall
every time I try to join back I get too overwhelmed by shit to do I just sit in my ship for 30 minutes then uninstall
I quit just when they introduced archwings for the first time
I think the project 99 thing is gay and lame
I still play.
I said black lives don't matter and got permabanned. My life has improved dramatically since then.
Fortuna made me drop it. The open worlds just fucking sucked and the rest of the game was left to rot so steve and the gang could make new empty open worlds where I do the same shit as a regular tileset but with running for 5 minutes to get to the objective.
Then they did the dumbest shit a dev can do and decided that players were playing the power fantasy farming game incorrectly. So they nerfed all my favorite frames and started systematically destroying the best farmings spots and strats.
I played other stuff and never went back.
I played it for like 3 hours and was bored out of my mind.
I have genuinely no idea how someone could play that game for longer than 3 hours.
too inconsistent in many ways and devs love adding random half-baked things only to completely forget about them on the next year and return to adding more random stuff
it's a hit or miss and at one point it became miss for me. The grind also becomes too boring sooner or later
All my friends gradually dropped off and I only really played to help them grind for stuff.
I tried to get back into it after the 1999 update but for some reason I would get stuck in the hub city unable to do anything except shit post in the chat after a single mission.
I have over 2000 hours in the game and bought multiple deluxed skins. What more do you want from me? I've been supporting Warframe as much as i can. I am just burned out right now.
Gameplay is boring
I don't have the autism required to play daily for a decade just to catch up
I loaded up on an old save and couldn't even figure out how to get out of the spaceship/station thing. Wandered through some tinyass white hallways in circles for like 10 minutes and uninstalled.
They abandoned the best content in the game, Railjack. Also only the men get epic butt skins not the women. Even the Ember Heirloom has a smol butt compared to some of the male deluxe skins. SAD
It takes quite literally a week of playing before you are near endgame. That is one of the biggest problems with the game. There isn't enough stuff to do.
Boring, uninspired, and overall poor gameplay. Quite literally the same thing over and over, with half of it being janky and unfinished.
Really shitty story that was obviously being written to be "memey", so the game would get more attention.
An atrocious amount of grind and microtransactions, that most downplay because they've played for long enough that they're no longer impacted by it or had friends who'd dump $100 worth of currency on them.
An overall awful experience.
Tried it when it first came out. Jumping around was kinda cool but the combat was pretty meh, it's like hitting or shooting at curtains, so I dropped it
Farm for primes, then wait a year for those primes to go out of rotation.
grind way too long for one frame's blueprints (one of them had a 0.025% drop rate for some reason)
need to grind for the ability to craft the resources to craft it
need to grind for the 8 resources needed to craft that resource, which has a 8 hour crafting timer
finally get the resources
crafting the entire thing will take a week
I don't even think mobile games, or Korean games, got that bad
