Left 4 Dead 3 they took this from you
Left 4 Dead 3 they took this from you
open world
le heck billions of zomboids
They finished Source 2 finally, any day now...
What else are they supposed to do to up the ante from the previous games though?
This leak is older than you lil bro
Source 2 was so shit that it prevented the creation of open world zombie shit
Good
Dead Rising with Co-Op and a good A.I would had been bad
I disagree.
Just because Ubislop destroyed the reputation of said games it does not necessarily mean open world is bad but we have reached a point it is unfeasible because newer engines are resource hogs but Dying Light and Days Gone show there is still interest and potential in said games.
There are people who even play dogshit like the zombie mode in the newer COD games and that is miles behind Dead Rising and L4D.
That aside, so, what if they had done the project in a smaller scale? I mean ultimately CSGO and CS2 were 1:1 rehashes not to mention we had 15 years of fucking Dota2. Why was L4D3 the game to get the axe? What the hell was going on at Valve? Correction, What the hell is going on at Valve? They seem aimless.
wow... valve invented fortnite
thank you for not ruining left 4 dead...
They were testing out survivor classes, look at Back4Blood, hero shooter l4d sounded terrible
Dead Rising with Co-Op and a good A.I would had been bad
Go play Dead Rising 2/2OTR then you fucking idiot. Leave Left 4 Dead as Left 4 Dead. Even the fucking morons that forced Killing Floor 3 into becoming a "hero shooter" didn't malform KF into open world trash.
open world zombies in the middle east
It would have gotten mogged by Dying Light
morocco
Middle east
NANI?
Why do you constantly need to "up the ante"? That's how you ruin a franchise. Just give people new content and let that be the end of it.
Settle down Miyamoto
they'll come back to it
they also did a l4dvr demo, but it was too intense
morocco
why the hell would anyone wanna fight zombies there?
i'd rather they stick to l4d/l4d2 style campaigns, but have them across several countries with different casts of characters, with some intertwining paths/events
if they do base building, it should be a spinoff
could be good
search for supplies/vehicles, load them up with weapons, goods and fortify your base before nightfall, talk to friends by walkie talkie
open world works well for this and the tech finally allows for it
valve
3
They can just do the same thing again but with more characters and patented valve cosmetic crates for infinite money
up the ante
I wish you'd "up the ante" on your posts.
Where exactly do you think Morocco is?
i can`t play zombie games without parkour anymore after dying light
im surprised the market wasn't flooded with clones of it
parkour is shit and unrealistic
Bigger, more complex maps with multiple paths instead of open world shit?
>morocco
why the hell would anyone wanna fight zombies there?
anon have you seen how marakesh street markets look? perfect setting for a zombie vidya
They tried that in the original game and then changed it because playtesters got lost.
Valve testers doing typical Valve tester things.
People always shit on "valve testers" as if they have some designated group of waterhead retards who playtest their games and can't do anything.
They use an intermediary to bring in a diverse variety of demographics to focus test. People who play games, people who don't play games, 20 year olds, 50 year old women and so on. They want the games to be as accessible as possible, so they need to bring in the average person and make sure they can understand and complete it while having fun. They had people go over Portal 2 making sure the jokes and dialogue was still inoffensive in different languages, it's as hand-holdy as possible.
In short, valve testers are just normal people and normal people are fucking dumb and incapable of intuiting gameplay mechanics without consistent repetition
Yeah I dunno why people are so against Morocco being the setting. It's a novel place for zombie fiction desu.
its boring
looks like every middle eastern bazaar
and thats about all there is in morocco
I'd rather they have it set in australia, which would be funnier since l4d2 got censored there
Don't need to, source 2 port of l4d2 would be enough.
god it would be pure sex if they updated all the old campaigns like the plantation source 2 demo and made them playable in 3 like 2 has 1's levels
no it wont
I played those to death already, there's no surprise
I need NEW content
yes they should do that
also first class vr support would be rad
youtube.com
I just wanted more the same but new characters, guns, maps, and specials
Open world can eat my ass
Why should I want to play games made for people who don't play games
Wasn't there a screenshot or two of some test project like that shown some years ago? L4D2 but Source 2?
It's not HL3
Idc, good thing it didn't come out
The plantation level was remade in Source 2 in 2010. Rumor has it Valve planned to develop a remake of L4D2 back then, but more involved, unlike Half-Life Source back in the day. Dunno if the remake project was true though, when it could've been a simple tech demo for all we know, but the pics made rounds on the internet for quite some time now.
Valve games always sucked ass though, I think HL1 was the only exception. Mostly a great game for the time at least.
Set in a brown and grey desert
Yeah it would have been inferior to 1 and 2
L4D1 has like 20 different weapon upgrades that goes unused. L4D2 brought back 3 of them.
Start from there.
American cartography
Better gunplay and gore with gooder grafix for a start
oh that's all it fucking needed
morocco
dying light already exists bros. You're mourning a game that got made.
shouldn't it have been Left 5 Dead 3
trillion dollar company
their game engine can't handle 101 zombies
grim
Bigger, more complex maps with multiple paths
Everyone would end up running 1 path unless you had them randomly be closed by debris or some shit.
They seem aimless.
According to Gabe Newell, Half-Life 2 had troubled development because they were running out of money to the point where Gabe himself had the sell his house to keep the employees around.
Left 4 Dead and Portal were originally made because they were bored of making another HL2 episode. And TF2 was an experiment to copy Korean MMO model remember Counter-Strike Online? where they get to nickel and dime you with MTX while pushing perpetual updates. And then they got bored of making new games too.
Without the pressure of running out of money, they decide to do nothing.
They also took the finished version of Artifact Foundry from me.
Valve screwed over the Artifact fanbase by cancelling the Artifact 2.0 beta without even allowing users to invite friends like they said they would in January 2021 and does not deserve your financial support for these gross consumer-unfriendly practices.
basebuilding open world zombie survival
Yeah I think it was cancelled because the proposed project was nowhere close to L4D and just a copy of slop that was common at the time.
