I liked it they just need to fix the lighting and some textures and I think it'd be in good shape. Arc Raiders was fucking amazing though.
It's fucked up how the big two hooks are the artstyle, but then ingame it looks washed out and unintersting, and "omg it's bungie!" after they decided to make an mmo raid shooter that all the fans love to hate for ten years.

Looter shooter is like diablo but with FPS/TPS format, ie you get weapons with stats. Extraction shooter is something different, you go into an area with a loadout that you can lose if you don't extract, ie get killed by mobs or other players. You do loot stuff, but not in the same way as a looter shooter
Suppose it could also be both, ie extraction shooter with looter shooter RPG-like gear. Anyway they are separate things is the point.

It's still plagued with cheaters and their directional audio system is among the worst I've ever experienced. Plus the engine is fucking dated. They spent too much doing fuck knows what and now have to 'release' it out of beta so they can move on. I'd say they squandered this one.

It's so funny too because they were probably looking at people complain about 70 dollar pricetags and going "yknow what lets be a little generous and go with a mild pricetag, these are MP only games after all, overwatch 1 was pretty successful at 40 bucks" and it fell flat on it's face

There's no cheaters in PVE and every eceleb that made surveys on their community revealed that more than 50% who play Tarkov nowadays mainly play PvE. You can also see that "AI improvements" is now one of the big focus of every update. The game has had enough time in development to procure enough content and systems that the game can be enjoyable without real player interactions and this is probably what Niggita is banking on for 1.0 release.
