This. Sciel is a way better buffbot than a healer (and some pictos can give you a small heal on buff). All Set is basically the Luster Candy/Heat Riser equivalent in this game, and it's a great way to buff damage and get a more favorable turn order if you put First Strike on her to ensure that she gets her buffs out right at the start.

on battle start, you get shell for 5 turns. if you heal yourself, you get shell for 3 turns. i dont know if it just writes a new turn amount, or adds on. probably just writes a new turn amount.

It says "on applying" so I'm assuming that the character doing the buffing is the only one who needs to have the picto equipped, unlike the pictos that make buffs more powerful, which need to be equipped to everyone for them to benefit from it.

You'll get 5 turns of shell at the start of a battle plus 5 turns of shell applied to any ally that you heal. IMO this isn't that useful for a few reasons. The first is that you really shouldn't be taking that much damage in the first place. In theory, every attack is avoidable and if you have Dodger (Cheapest lumina skill in the game) you want to be avoiding/parrying every enemy turn to generate AP. Plus, even if you are getting hit a lot this is purely defensive. You want something that wins you fights, not something that delays your loss.

IMO if you want to have a character be in charge of buffs, replace the auto-shell with the one that applies Powerful on heal and put it on Lune, since she has an AOE heal. That way you're giving the whole party an attack/defense boost, topping them off, and possibly giving them regeneration depending on how you've managed your stains.
