Do you prefer Japanese mechas or Western mechs?
Do you prefer Japanese mechas or Western mechs?
I like both.
Japanese, they just go all in on making them cool while westoids are too insecure to make anything but the most boring "realistic" ones they can in hopes of not being judged.
Akane only likes kaijus
The ones that aren't just oversized anime ninjas
I don't like human shaped giant robots.
Or animal shaped giant robots.
I think the concept is silly and I can't enjoy anything that uses it with the sole exception of Megas.
Adults don't think tacky rainbow trash is "cool".
I don't like cats so
Watch the new gundam, it's good
its pronounced "mech", not "mech"
gundam
good
That's how you know the poster is a lying scumbag.
anon says, in fear of being judged
Japan had their own version of every Western mech design ever and they did it better.
Adults dont use adult as an adjective
I think mechs are lame regardless
Whichever one lets me cuddle Akane.
Japanese
this, spaceships>
Megas was made with nothing but pure love and adoration for the concept and half the jokes are references to other series that have them.
I genuinely don't know what's left to enjoy in it if you don't like the concept at face value.
Japanese Mecha, I love the superhero look many of them have, and the cool powers some of them have look so cool.
Recommend me good mecha games
Generic white pantsu
Boring as fuck personality.
I prefer French girls
NO PUEBS????
case in point
I like real robots, alot of the Western ones give that good grounded feel. But you can't beat the feeling a good super robot gives you. Practically just unabashed joy. Even the older ones that were made in the 80s onwards as kids toys are still just loved by the people surrounding them and it's lovely to see.
westerners cannot make sexy robots
the japanese could probably get me to fuck an actual blender
that's a pinoy
Western I guess. I'm not into fancy giant mech suits really, I like more primitive-like designs, in a mechanical sense. Exoskeletons, vehicles or shit like
Not a Mecha, also a blatant painful rip off of Big O.
...Its a spinoff of the Ultra franchise.
Yes, that doesn't mean the structure of the plot wasn't similar.
The delivery follows Big O's story beats particularly with the intention that there were viewers who were not familiar with Gridman.
Yeah, the original Gridman show has the concept of microcosms existing in IT that he protects, but how the setting in SSSS is revealed, how Akane is basically Angel but self aware. C'mon Boco, it borrows heavily.
I know. But Ultra/Gridman is toku. Big O, while similar in story, is full mecha. Different genres.
there's not even tomatos in gridmen
Tomatos are the Kaiju loli.
