Are vertical gaming mice a meme?
Are vertical gaming mice a meme?
I've used a wired vertical mouse for like 10 year and will never look back but OP pic looks like faggot tranny shit.
Worse ergonomics and will fuck your wrist up
"it's not stupid if it works."
huh, i have carpel tunnel from being a neet pc gamer and i bought a cheap ergonomic one and it completely relieved my debilitating wrist pain after sticking with it for about 8 months now
I hope so I can already see some mad lad making one out of his GF/wife's/personal dildo.
Bonus points if they can get a vibrating one that actuall responds to feedback from the game
Extra bonus points if it's one of those squirting ones that goes off when they die.
vertical gaming mice
Literally a joystick.
i like my aliexpress abomination
had to take out the weight and put new skates on but its comfier than a regular mouse for me
Maybe. I tried one and after playing a few shooters I noticed I ended up squeezing the mouse harder to compensate for the fact that the weight of my hand wasn't resting on the mouse. Any strain relieved from my wrist went to my palm instead.
Not a keyboard, but...
Talk me out of it.
Looks badass I'm not gonna
How long did you use it? If your palm was hurting you probably just were on your way to make muscle gains.
It's such a massive fuckin learning curve, and then you will eventually become dependent on that exact layout.
if you dont have 20 years of muscle memory already like me, maybe you'll like it more.
It looks cool but the materials and build quality looks cheap
Is this to simulate holding hands with a woman?
this dude holdin' hands with his computer
tfw you can't genuinely romance your computer
This looks like a nightmare to clean
you're not supposed to cum in it
Yes. Claw grip mouse is a way to go if you're serious about improving your aiming.
then what's the fucking point?
hawt
Ergonomic, space saving, fast.
Only problem is that you have to constantly alter your DPI because outside of games the high dpi settings are a nightmare.
i have no idea
I'm pissed. I want the razer one but it's sold out already.
I have a logitech mx vertical and it's nice for turn based shit and webbrowsing but it's not good enough for shoosting games.
Also, the shape is not perfect for my hands. Could be cope but i think the razer one looks more comfortable for me personally because the thumb side is higher and it has the pinky cage
I trackball in the office but not for gaming
What do I search for?
I like the Pro Click vertical
Strengthen your arms and wrists at gym.
Everything else is meme.
I've been playing games all my life. Having a palm horizontally on my desk is more natural position for me. My body adapted.
but not for gaming
horrible choice mate, Using the trackball doesnt hinder anything and it lets me use the extra space to build gunpla while I wait for lobbies to fill. The future is ball-shaped
What do I search for?
NTA, pic rel is what search brought back
nopan
Off-model trash
Chillindude uses this since he had that stroke.
meds
I want the razer one but it's sold out already
Good, razer is a dogshit company that pumps out literal garbage but hopefully the demand makes another company step in and make a decent vertical gaming mouse. I've bought like three off amazon and they were all junk.
Is it the MX Vertical or are vertical mice in general not good for shooters?
probably both to some extent but the logitech one has a bad sensor
it's just not very precise.
I think vertical might be bad for shooters too because when you click it puts horizontal pressure on the mouse versus a regular mouse where you're clicking against the desk
not him but generally even using your side buttons is bad for fps
you could be like one of those weird euro quake players that binds what are traditionally mouse actions to keyboard so you're not fucking up your aim when shooting though
Most of the plastic components are printed.
Since it's made by bongs, they charge an arm and a leg for it and don't provide an electronics kit you can print your own parts for.
Doesnt this just eventually end up with stick drift? Just seems like a turbo planned obsolescence gimmick, I may be wrong of course.
I do a lot of my micro movements with just my fingers instead of my arm or wrist. When I tried to do it with a mertical mouse - I realized I had dick all freedom of movement. These things only work for those professional SCGO players that slide their mice across the table 5 times to move their crosshair a quarter of a milimeter to the right.
I use a fingertip grip too, my arm doesn't move and my wrist barely moves it's 90% fingers. I use a 2400 DPI on a 4K screen.
Yes, there's a reason basically no one uses them
Disability specialist here. They're a meme, but anon is right. It's not stupid if it works. . Notice your hand orientation with your hands at your sides?
In general, they work better for people who like their mice, close and low. They have a serious minus in that the width of your hand really needs to match the height of the mouse in a way that other mice don't need. They don't work for most people.
My physical therapist said the exact opposite
I've decided to buy the new Razer vertical. If it sucks, I'll just return it. Worth a shot, I think.
This. When I tried to use one my wrist started to fucking hurt in a weird way lol
They're good, far better in terms of ergonomics than typical horizontal mice because when you use a horizontal one your wrist is always pronated which leads to straining and eventual carpal tunnel syndrome.
That said, I wish someone made something like a 60 degree mouse, typical vertical mice are like 75-80 degrees.
They feel really good
