his stat scaling on his abilities are not that high looking. ~15-17% of his HP on his charge attack for example, doesn't sound like that much right? somehow that results in 200k+ ticks that hit 8x per 3 seconds with unlimited multi-target ability and long range.

IT is a roster check and nothing more. The buffs you get from bringing all the characters are crazy and will carry you far but it does require a shitton of characters. Hell I've been playing since day 1, only missed one daily log in, have most of the roster and still struggle to bring a full squad of built characters sometimes. Thankfully I can just ignore the 2-3 chumps I have to bring but still.

Some bonuses like charged attack damage are additive with self if I recall so I'd have to adjust to start tacking on item set bonus and such, but you get the point.

you can make 1 artifact per set per patch
select main stat and 2 sub stats, with at minimum 2 upgrades going to the selected sub stats meaning at minimum you will at least get a mediocre artifact that is at least usable.

My issue is that they very clearly lock the "good" element to the second half of the IT rather than keep it spread out, and also clearly have some weighted system under the hood to prevent you from getting even a few meta characters early on. This current IT convinced me because it backloaded everything and I was sitting through all of the first half of the IT with absolute garbage. Even my fully kitted out Geo characters were sitting there with a thumb up their ass because they had to tard wrangle a bunch of Cryo supports. I didn't even get Navia or Itto until the very last levels, and I straight up had to reset the thing because the Wayob was impossible without Charlotte since it backloaded Barbara for me.

genshin's problem is that it's a story focused game but the story was so bad and the dialogue so bloated that many dropped the game because of it and those that kept playing simply skipped non mendatory quests.

the proof is how they added the option to skip quests to start natlan's story (good idea but natlan's story was dogshit so it cancels out)
they added literal time limited bribes (primos and boss mats) to get people to do quests
and then they added unironic spam ads everytimes you open the map

They do the most damage being slotted in to the Mavuika team, but less damage than if you just focused on Mavuika.

Even if the characters weren't constantly saying unnecessary bullshit you're still running around to each region doing fuck all for literal years. It has some interesting concepts here and there but it's not a particularly interesting or engaging story, most of the characters are very boring and one note unless you decide to read some of the very dry and bland lore around them, and the general events that happen aren't very special at all. The problem is the presentation, yes, but don't act like it'd suddenly be amazing if the presentation suddenly became good overnight.

Its presentation of important information is fucked up, inconsistent (not in terms of lore, but the actual doling out of it), and downright fucking aggravating.
But the underlying world, history, and progression of plot threads is great.
