Apparently im the only one in my friend group that thinks this, but did anyone else retroactively feel like 90% of the side areas are just wastes of time? Reused enemies, almost no area outside of a couple has good loot, and all but maybe 3 zones are irrelevant to the entire lore/story, most of them just felt like I wasted my time doing them

About the question I've seen many people ask since this game was announced: what happens to the people who turns the age on the monolith after the gommage? Do they die instantly or do they die in the next gommage? I don't think the game ever explicitly explained this.
My guess would be that they die as soon as they turn that age since the gommage is something that is continuously happening but is limited by Aline's protection, so when someone turns that age, that person is no longer under her protection.
