the pen and paper rpg is better, the books are better and as such i have no interest in the cyberpunk rpg or stories.

I could tell it wasn't good before it came out. heard all the shit lauch drama. see no sign of it being a good RP game. nor good in the gameplay department. no interest in a lame rendition of the cyberpunk setting or the game's setting on it's on merits. easy pass.

Found a torrent of 1.03 version of the game. Contemplating whether I should download it just to refresh my memory about the state of the PC day one version.

I still haven't finished The Witcher 3, RDR2 or GTAV. At this rate I will never play it..

I did just play it. 8/10, garbage by Witcher 3 standards but good game otherwise.
To me it just seemed like a waste of 8 years, but if another studio had made it I'd gave been very impressed and less critical.

You can skip the entire introduction if you own the DLC. You'll start at level 15 and after meeting Johnny.

No, if I recall correctly you pretty much start out right after the heist and the Jonny backstory flashbacks with Arusaka. All three of the main quest players are waiting for you to start their quest lines.

I have played it but I just find it depressing and I had to stop. Usually in a movie like bladerunner the point of the futuristic backdrop is its bad and making the main character sad, or its to explore themes like alienation and corpos making people disposable. But the game doesnt have much of that youre kinda just a cog in the machine trying to max out on depravity and make an easy buck, the world makes me sad and you cant impact or improve it. Im probably thinking too much about it and not the target audience but its like if I really had to live in bladerunner id probably be sad not enjoying it. The mission towards start where you relive the memory of a asian business tycoon fucking a high end escort just made me sad for example because that womans life is miserable moreso than real whores today havbe it, amplified because of the transhumanism angle. Just not for me. The gameplay and graphics are sick tho.

I've beaten it twice. It's a good action game but a poor RPG. Well it doesn't feel like an RPG at all actually.
