Is there a fucking place to practice parrying / dodging??
Is there a fucking place to practice parrying / dodging??
Just be yourself
there's the grosse tête enemy, but not really. Audio cues are reliable for most enemies though
So was Alicia trying to contact the writers or something? she's always shown to be more interested in poetry than painting and I don't think it's ever elaborated how she fell into the writers trap
its literally like parrying in dark souls. the second the enemy does the "swing down" animation after the charge up.
Turn down the music and voices by a lot. Hearing the audio cues for attacks makes a huge difference in some fights. It's like night and day for me, but then you miss out on the awesome OST so there's that.
Bro I'm trying so hard to go by audio cues but nothing.
Just install this to beat the game
If you're playing the game via some streaming service don't even bother. The extra 20ms+ delay or whatever is enough to fuck with the timings to make it extremely frustrating.
Honestly i fucking give up I'm just gonna install the easy parry/dodge mod. How are consolefags playing?
Doesn't she read alot? She has her own, windowless study room with shitloads of books.
Maybe she read a book from the Writers which was a booby trap.
reads book
it blows up, mangling her
Verso saves her from the fire, dies
Based on her scars, it doesn't really make sense that one eye got cooked while other one is perfectly fine. Now if splinters from a bomb get involved, it would make a tiny bit more sense.
Which parts of the manor were destroyed by the fire?
Would be useless because every enemy has a different rhythm. You can get used to enemies in one region and then get fucked when you move to another region or boss. Best tip, dodge until you figure out the enemy attacks before you start party
story mode / all stats in DEF
Hah I'm gonna try tonight with moonlight on my avp
UE5 has native delay too. so you better press it earlier than the sweet spot.
no because every enemy has a different pattern
you learn as you play
the world map is filled with world mobs and optional bosses to practice on
Just get better lmao
This. Every enemy is different. Some enemies have fakeouts too.
Unironically just download the parry mod and enjoy the game.
just be a adhd zoomer with tik tok brain rot and you should do good.
yeah literally every battle
Struggling with Parry/Dodge.
Just wait until you get jumps and gradients weaved in, I'm playing fucking DDR over here.
Gross Tete is a dick
There is some other guy out in the world that took me 28 minutes I was fucking seething.
boss casts blind on the expedition
each attack has 5 to 7 moves, each one instakills
trial and error
That boss was BS so I went for bs build too and cast two Genesis before he had the chance to attack
OMG WHATS WITH ALL THESE BUFFS AND DEBUFFS AND WHAT
No, just play over and over until you get it
just press the fucking button retard
They have an easier time thanks to low profile and more responsive buttons
A game where you have to "lose a lot to learn" sounds like the gayest shit ever. Why do people play these things?
Just listen to the sound cue
Lune's feet
Simon filtered me
im pretty sure he filtered everyone.
You can't parry feels Anon

It's so over the top melodramatic but I still really like it? why?! I usually hate this kind of shit
I didn't bother with engaging with bosses on an honest level later on. Simon, like many others before him - simply got his ass one shot by Stendahl.
Just install this to beat the game
look it up
either brute-force obliterate him or get to 150 attacks parried in one turn
Fuckin' hell, mate. Makes me wanna try the Gestral Beach obstacle course again.
yeah, it's called the entire game, moron.
I fucking killed this clown at level 33, took me 47 minutes of perfect parrying, the reward was well worth the grind
How do you feel about the lack of a local map and the ability to pin notes to it?
On one hand having to save info on a txt to check on back later seemed like a throwback to older vidya before internet and shit but knowing that i will miss stuff no matter how thoroughly i explore makes me mad.
Picrel is the stuff i have been noting, who knows what i might have missed too
Other than that the game has been great, just got the tarot card lady but i dont see my party changing from Gustave and his harem of asian waifu and jailbait.
perfect dodge
perfect dodge
perfect dodge
perfect dodge
okay i got this downpat gonna start parrying this boss
400 dmg and burn
370 aoe dmg and silence
the expedition failed
My controller had a huge delay so I just started dodging on m+kb and it was easier.
are you supposed to know why the world is the way it is, where are they and all of that? Or is it something that's explained as you go on?
End of Act 2
Sounds like shit to me. Sounds like you've been psyop'd fren.

This was solved decades ago. You put the map midway through the dungeon. You could even make it diegetic, just have previous expeditions leave fucking maps behind, it’s so obvious. If you can’t accept that the game doesn’t cater to you trying to 100% it first try guideless you’re a fag though honestly sorry but it’s not a list of chores and it’s not meant to be experienced that way
Just wait till you get to the fun optional mini games!
Also pro tip: dont kill any of the white nevrons you do those tasks with
Ugly photorealism slop

agree

i can accept it, i just dont like it

thefuck, i just showed stuff i WANTED to check back, stuff that was interesting enough for me to WANT to check it again when im able to. Some of it might just be collectibles and loot and i might end up skipping it, other might be tied to lore and i might end up skipping it, other are tougher bosses and i might end up skipping it.
But right now i WANT to check back on it
dont kill any of the white nevrons you do those tasks with
Yeah wasn't planning to, seemed weird to have the option to attack them after completing a quest
You'll get used to it.
I had to reload 5 times to get a SINGLE parry on tutorial Maelle, but 4 hours in I was parryGODing every boss completely hitless.
Brehs how old is Maelle?
she is 17 years 364 days 24 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds old
The game just becomes annoying when every attack one shots you in a 4+ hit combo on Expert.
Lune deserved better.
yeah, dark souls 1, and shmups
Lune should have been gustave's rebound
In all seriousness, I would have preferred the relationship mechanic with him instead. That way it would hit harder when he's gone, and a romanced character could have unique dialogue
lune was gustave's rebound, dumbass. it's mentioned in the prologue.
Wtf, source
Gustave's ex was setting them up.
it happens when you're walking to the gommage celebration and lune is playing guitar.
Amazing how both of her endings are complete shit for her, but if you make Verso romance her at any moment they go from bad to catastrophic
"WRITERS could be here" She thought, "I've never painted in this neighborhood before. There could be WRITERS anywhere." The cool wind felt good against her buttoned down chest. "I HATE WRITERS" she thought. Monoco OHWOWOWOW'ed her entire canvas, making it pulsate even as the $99 French wine circulated through her powerful thick veins and washed away her (merited) fear of artists after dark. "what a canvas, you can paint anywhere you want" she said to herself, out loud.
When you are walking Sophie to the harbor and Lune is playing guitar.
Sophie says something like
You two would make a nice couple, or maybe something has already happened there huh?
Oh I thought she was just suggesting it, it didn't seem like they had a thing
Maelle ending isn't bad if the pajeet nigger Verso stayed away.
Why does Clea have telepathy? When Alicia wakes up Clea immediately knows, and hears Alicia's words even though she can't speak and is on the other side of the mansion
there are some other things sprinkled throughout the script, i just don't remember exactly what.
The Gestralt hidden arena
game journo advice
anon it's magic and they have fucking powers I ain't gotta explain shit
Bullshit
There is terrible input delay in consoles that make it unplayable. I have to play on the easiest mode because the parry windows are wider there. Normal mode is literally unplayable against bosses
I didn't expect parry and dodge to be so important, i thought it would be smaller buffs to defense.
Playing on hard every hit i fail to parry or dodge hits me for about a 60% of my hp ._.
git gud
IM TRYING
i literally didn't take a single hit in the entire game, even against simon. this shit is incredibly easy. maybe you should play something a little simpler.
Except the one who asks you to kill him. He gives you a really good pictos if you do.
mods
You didn't beat the game
Games are supposed to be fun to play, speedrun tranny
If I'd known what the reward was, I would have tried it in the 30's, too. I didn't bother until cleanup in act 3, and I rofflestomped him so hard that he never even got a turn to attack me.
You'll get the hang of it. I know a parrygod in his 40s playing on expert. Just takes time like all things.
My practice is my anger. At the end of Act II (no spoilers ahead) I was so frustrated, I just said "Fuck it, I will show ya" and started to parry their shit like no tomorrow. Literraly git gudded.
