The patrician chooses a mix of paragon, neutral and renegade options. Like I play by the book, company man Shepard. Playing pure paragon or renegade is too cartoonish and jarring. Like why the fuck would you let the Batavian terrorists go in order to save a few colonists when they’re probably gonna kill thousands more in the future. You obviously just kill them then and there, even if a few colonists die. Greater good and all that.

In many cases they are way better than paragon ones though.
My favorite way to play ME is to use CE to max out both paragon and renegade gauges and just pick whatever seem most fitting to the situation no matter whether it's paragon, renegade or neutral option.

FemShep x Liara is just too cute of a pairing. I always do that or if I go MaleShep I romance Tali. Honestly I think basing your romance on your alignment is a good play too.

It should at the very least have been neutral. Letting a bunch of hardened terrorist fanatics go in order to save like a dozen humans when they’ve already killed thousands and were planning on fucking gravity dropping an asteroid onto a human world is literally braindead. Like what kind of moral reasoning is that? It reminded me of Fable: The Lost Chapters where just letting Twinblade go free was seen as the good choice, while executing him was the bad choice.

Should really all have been:

Good choice - Capture and send to prison

Neutral choice - Execute them

Bad choice - Let them walk free
