Making him a cop is actually in line with recent rockstar games like Red Dead Redemption 1 and 2 where the protagonist is less of crazy criminal.

Rockstar would be lazy enough to copy the idea and make it worse.

Don't buy it. Sounds utterly retarded gameplay-wise unless Lucia is also in on it. I'm not sure how you can play a character keeping such a secrets as big as being an undercover cop while also playing a character who is not supposed to know this at the same time

It's a game ending twist. The prison security guard saw Jason before but he can't tell because the dude changed his appearance not to mention how much attention cops are getting in both trailers.
