The masses have no taste. The writing is honestly mostly pretty bad with some good moments here and there. They lean heavily on this kind of bewildered amused expressiveness in lighthearted scenes that gets grating. In heavy ones it's all hamminess and pregnant pauses, and every scene goes on too fucking long or is just plain boring and irrelevant.

I loved the gameplay, I found the parry/dodge mechanic engaging and forces you to pay attention to all the encounters.
Pictos are a nice way to build your characters and every one of them can have multiple builds depending on how you use them.
And finally the boss fights were really fun and a nice spectacle.
