Most professional studios have the maturity and courage to say the to VA, “Okay, let’s do that take again, but with less awfulness.” Meanwhile, mod creators are often spineless and “nice” and don’t want to make their VAs have to repeat takes too many times out of fear of pissing them off.

AI voices have become really good even just over the last couple of years. I'm surprised there aren't more mods using it (and not just XVA Synth).
Better than mod voice acting but I still wouldn't call it good. Most of the lines are delivered in an unnatural and unfitting way. It's fine for some extra immersion at least.
