Replaying this now and I just got past the Lakebed Temple. It's kind of mid...

Did you try catching the undead fish with your fishing rod in the temple?

No. Didn't even think of it, honestly.

It works. Bombfish too lol.

Interesting.

The best dungeons are in the back half. Let us know how you feel when you get to Snowpeak.

If you cast your rod into the Lanayru Spring, you can sometimes catch bags of rupees someone threw in. Probably as an offering.

It’s OOT but worse

So it's still good then?

I think I loved all the Dungeons in this game. Not sure if there was a single "bad" one, even the water temple wasn't that bad. OOT had some really annoying dungeons to work through.

It’s not bad but it’s entire derivative which for me personally is boring. I also think the artstyle is uglier and doing the exact same dungeons in the exact same order bored me

The best dungeons are after Lakebed.

But yeah I just don't like the art-style it uses. Dungeons are good though.

best dungeons
best music
best version of hyrule
best companion
best dungeon items
best transformation
best throwbacks
best story

I remember liking Snowpeak and the Sky dungeon.

Sometimes I miss GF

My only letdown with this game was palace of twilight and hyrule castle being so short.
And that because of wolf link, link barely takes any damage from attacks, making the game relatively easy.

best dungeon items

Items are cool but damn they are barely used at all outside of the dungeons except hookshots.

It's an extremely slow burn but it gradually improves

best companion

Only part you got right
Rest of your post is dogshit

There’s a lot of item interactions with enemies it’s just that you get sword techniques that are more accessible than opening the menu to swap items and the two best items for combat are

bomb arrows

clawshot

with the boomerang having uses against swarms of small enemies as well. Spinner is only used for two overworld puzzles. It’s never used in snowpoint, it’s used twice in Temple of Time, Twice in City in the Sky, and once in Hyrule Castle. The city in the sky uses are kinda lame though.
Ball and Chain is probably the most underused item, it can be completely forgotten about after the optional cave for the heart piece unless you do cave of ordeals. Dominion Rod had an entire side quest and the graveyard section of Hyrule Castle uses it. Double Clawshot is the best item in the game though and it’s used a good bit in its short time in the game.

Items are cool but damn they are barely used at all outside of the dungeons

this as well as "hit the boss 3 times"
also I remember the game being very linear but its been so long since I played it

the items are used more than Ocarina of Time's

kek

they're right, it makes no sense for OoT to get 10 but TP get 8

To me it's a 7/10 that's elevated to an 8/10 due to having the best of all best girls.

It was OoT 2.0 in the sense that you got to revisit the same places years later.

wolf kino

okami&tp.png - 1522x1071, 3.34M

game's great, but objectively flawed. Wolf sections suck ass, the beginning is a slog, and the first temple isnt fun. It really picks up after you make it to goron mountain

maybe scores are subjective

Yeah it's terrible, contrarians only like it because WW is too "kiddy"

this as well as "hit the boss 3 times"

dont replay OoT

deflecting

Minish Cap is easily the most overrated Zelda game. Its not even the best Capcom Zelda

I like WW too though. I grew up playing both. I just like TP a little more

kek
Zelda fans are fucking retarded. It's always the same shtick of "game A does thing game B that I love does, I HATE IT"

during the initial attack on Ordin vilalge, its great. You have to sneak around because your neighbors think youre another dhadow beast, you see how shits fucked, and you realize you can tlak to animals. Later on you use the scent for its ONE good purpose and track Illia's scentimagine

every other time, it takes you to a new area and I'm left thinking, WOW, I really wish I was just link and not chasing these fucking bugs and having to jump into windows or sit through digging cutscenes. And when you try to free zora's domain, you have to trek all the way back down to castle town for exactly ONE bug.

Deathsword was bretty cool tho

It is kind of mid ALTTP and Wind Waker are by far the best entries

Its not even the best Capcom Zelda

correct, seasons is the best 2D zelda

Minish Cap is easily the most overrated Zelda game

tears

windwaker isnt anywhere close to a best entry, are you kidding me?

best minibosses

ass monke

bublin who is a g

funny goron

that one random twilight bug that is huge

froggo

ball knight

darknut (which isn't unique but it gets a pass as the tp version of these guys r pretty hard)

reaper

flying boi on steroids

cyber zant

they each get their own theme too

actual bosses r ass though sadly for various reasons except for skele, zant and ganon

Sorry but Okami shits all over TP.
I remember Okami launching as the title you play during the wait for TP, but it ended up being a vastly superior game in almost every aspect.
Anyone who isn't a blind fanboy knows this already.

FUCK the lakebed bug, that fight SUCKS

I disagee. Okami's "dungeons" are incredibly basic and lack the theme variety that you get in TP. The combat in TP is also way better. They're both great games in different ways

ALMOST every aspect. If Zelda couldn't do dungeons better, it's not even Zel-

BotW/TotK

...
Anyway, TP has good combat mechanics but nothing that makes particularly good use of them, Okami has the edge due to sheer enemy variety and needing to actually utilize a lot of your skills and abilities, plus multiple weapon types, etc.

Yeah, I guess it can get slightly repetitive. I don't mind the bug hunts too much, but I haven't played the original in a while. I know they made the total number of light motes smaller in HD

Deathsword

I love that fight so much

but nothing that makes particularly good use of them

mid

Smug Imp02.png - 610x349, 289.4K

god tier aesthetic, but sadly very easy

Anyway, TP has good combat mechanics but nothing that makes particularly good use of them,

I enjoyed the darknut fights quite a bit, but that was it.

Canned animation where you stab a downed enemy to end a battle a whopping two swings earlier via a quicktime prompt they cannot react to.
Fucking stellar point anon. SUCH COMBAT GOOD.

correct

play windwaker

knock over an enemy

they have 10 seconds of invincibility lying there and waking up while you cant do anything, and standing in front of them waiting to finally kill them lets them punch you right in the face

okami

utilize a lot of your skills

LOL

It's just celestial brush, gust, and slow down. Okami is also somehow even easier than WW/TP

Later on you use the scent for its ONE good purpose and track Illia's scentimagine

I will NOT imagine.

your loss. She probably smells like lillies and lavender

God, imagining the scent of her ass... HOLY fuck...

Remake of this game uses the story and writing of the manga adaption

What happens now?

Wind Waker is the game that needs a remake more. Just tear it all down and try again. Please.

Its the only good 3d Zelda game we got between 2003 and 2017

What was different in the mango?

I'd recommend just reading it first but as for non spoilers it does various things like fleshing out various characters more including giving Link more of a personality and his own backstory.

Yeah the first three dungeons and everything in between sucks
Once you get to the Arbiter's Ground then the game is good

goron mines

bad

filtered. It was kino and Fyrus was a great fight

The back half of the game has a lot of filler too, like the whole dominion rod quest.

This is such a retarded take, you must live in opposite land.

I disagree about the dungeon items. The ball'n'cock, spinner, and dominatrix rod are garbage.
However you have excellent taste otherwise so you get a pass.

the ball and chain is a great weapon, what the fuck are you talking about?

buh buh its so slow!!

no shit its a giant fucking metal ball
the dominion rod does suck, but it at least speeds up the bullshit of playing tunes to move shit or possess NPCS like in Windwaker

nice refutation, clarence

agree I just thought it was pretty neat they randomly included it in there

link talks for one lol

I just wish it was smaller and more realistic to use like the megaton hammer. Something to give you a feasible alternate weapon rather than a silly 200 pound fuck ball.
The worst part is I love flails conceptually.

Forest Temple is alright. I remember missing a heart piece chest and being fucked over because the monkeys leave after the dungeon is finished, but I just did the epic boomerang long jump technique and got it.
Goron Mines was cool. I like the dungeon theme, magnetism, and shoot-out section. The boss was shown in previews for years but it was kinda meh with the Sauron eye. The miniboss was cool though.
Lakebed was good too. The miniboss was great and I liked rotating the staircase to direct water into the left and right side of the dungeon. 2nd phase of the main boss can’t even damage you though.

I remember this fight took forever to kill but it didn’t do any damage to me. You just do the same thing for like 4 minutes.

I love Twilight Princess but on replays its REALLY apparent just how bad the intro is.

Pointless goat minigame

explore intro village

explore woods to entrance of temple

pointless goat minigame AGAIN

Hyrule Castle intermission

explore intro village AGAIN

explore woods to temple (as wolf) AGAIN

explore woods to temple ONCE AGAIN (Except this time you have to escort a slow monkey who steals your lantern so you can't beeline through an area you've already been through)

I don’t mind the ordon stuff but doing the Faron Woods 3 full times was overkill.
I look forward to sumo throwing the escaping goats.

It's not awful but there are some really obvious fixes that I'm shocked they didn't choose to do instead. Not taking the lantern away from you is one, but it would've been really neat if one of the horse segments was you using the slingshot and wooden sword to hit targets on Epona to impress the kids

Gerstmann is a faggot who wanted to get attention for being a faggot. His review is a whole lot of nothing which is why 8.8 is the only thing anyone remembers about it.
