Huh. Throughout the playthrough I was getting a weird feeling that there were two people or sides making enemies attack animations. One of those knew how to make fun attack animations and patterns without making it feel tedious and the other thinks that attack animations from souls games are good (that is, the animations of enemy attacks made by these break the pace and is just slog to sit through and mash dodge/parry to).
I had the same shit with RE remakes and Control on PS4 Pro. Looks bad but making some huge deal out of it is pure autism.

On a 4080 with epic settings at 4k it looks perfect and runs at 60 fps. Upscaling from 512p and then using 2 fake frames in-between each "real" (512p frame upscaled to 4k) doesn't make it look good. Crazy how good games look once you DONT use 20 different upscalers and don't use framegen for fps that don't support it.

The game will be forgotten as depressing shock screensaver sloppa without engaging characters except for maybe Gustave that the subversive leftie writers had to kill off because he was too wholesome and cohesive for the party, making them be on the same page and have comfy order. Instead as usual we have to embrace chaos and fetisize being in free fall and not in control, don't you love shocking twists and bland characters just having to do random stuff because "we have to go here now".?
