I can probably see how this goes:
Director: "Yeah, this is the concept. Here's the general design, here's the character art, here's the environment, here's weapon designs"
Art Director: "Okay, Team A, character designs. Team B, environments. Team C, weapons. Etc etc"
Lead Artists:"Okay, artist. You go get some textures, models, oh don't forget decals too"
Artist:" 100 models? 100 textures? Fuck. Dozens decals too? Shit. Guess I'll ring up pajeetstudio to help"
Pajeetstudio:"Okay sure here's some models and decals"
Pajeetstudio: googled random art online and just straight up stole them.
Artist:"Great, that'll do. Slap em on those models"
Lead Artist:"Oh cool that looks fitting"
Art Director:"Are they all done yet holy shit we need to throw in some trailers. Get the animators here!"
That's the risk you're dealing with if you go the outsource route.
