How could this happen?

How could this happen?

They probably remember Myst.

Is this just some kike tranny journalist in Japan? Why is it in English?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEE

contrarian tortanic retard faggots like OP are so desperate they'll pretend the game they don't like getting a 7 from one outlet is a massive victory

IGN

country that actually plays JRPGs

correctly recognizes that a mid JRPG is mid

Pretty self-explanatory.

Absolutely pathetic

How does that justify 30 points off?

Japan translates a lot of stuff into english for global speakers. The Japanese gov't pays people to make pro-japanese culture stuff for gaijins. There are entire channels on japanese tv that cater to westerners. The man in the street segments will be a western white guy talking and walking about teaching about japan.

It is part of their immigration policy now.

the japanese are seething that the french made the best jrpg in years.

sudden plot twist

Aren't all plot twists sudden?

see

7/10 is a bad score now?

Back then 70 was fine for a mediocre game, not a masterpiece but isn't bad, worth it's time.

No. Good ones have foundational support leading to the twist. People that have played the game say Act 1 and 2 don't have any build up leading to the twist.
They were probably trying to follow Myst's narrative too closely.

Even Plebbit knows this is bullshit

go back

7/10 was always a realistic 5/10. Games don't get reviewed honestly and they always give it extra points so they don't get cut off from marketing ops in the future.
If you see a game get under a 7 there is vendetta against it for reasons, a normal 7 is just a shitty game.

I wasn't a fan of the plot twist but it wasn't like they ended the game after it and ruined the experience. The game kept going on and you got to experience this new world for several more hours. That's what ultimately just made me accept the twist and not really be bothered by it.

People that have played the game say Act 1 and 2 don't have any build up leading to the twist.

yeah, sure they've "played" the game.

The inflation of scores "7" should mean "good".

fat complains about the lack of minimap and that it's too hard for him

it's not like Yoshi Piss's masterpieces, therefore I hate it, fuck you gaijin

lmao jap cucks seething

I guess we're here now, thanks jannies...

Minimap is a legit complaint, at least for the world map, I hated constantly hitting the map.

How long are incels going to cry about the huge success of Expedition 33?

probably until the next ff7 demake flops

Based Japs with excellent taste as always.

Westurd normalfags who've only played 1-2 mainstream JRPGs are the only people praising this UE5 dumpster fire parryslot shite.

He like it over Asscreed

extremely complex characters

OK? And?

The eternal jap.

If you didn't see the plot twist coming you might unironically be retarded

don't forget this

I agree with them, though I'd give it a 8/10.

Act 1 and 2 don't have any build up leading to the twist.

Only if you have genuine brain damage, Gustave had more death flags planted than a black dude in a horror film. References to painting were everywhere to notice, and there's the ending cutscene of act 1 that gives it away

I like this game, a lot, but the plot is mid as fuck

The game creates a big mystery about the counter and the annual gommage but in the end it was just a bunch of arbitrary actions that is never explained beyond: father vs mother. father kill people of certain age once in a year because yes, mother tried to warn the obvious in the most dumb way possible and... that's all. What a terrible payoff for an interesting mystery

all the excitement of fighting for a future for the people of Lumiere is ruined by the plot twist. I started the game by going on an adventure for the people of the island (which they dedicate the entire prologue to convince you to fight for them), only to change near the end to: actually they don't matter, you have to care about a family of weirdo

In the end, you either erase the people from the picture or keep them as beings that serve to keep Maelle entertained. Bullshit.

The game repeats the same ideas that several JRPGs and VNs have been doing in recent years. Yet people are treating it as if it were an original idea??? WTF???

IGN and IGN Japan are a joke.

Most games are a 7/10 or 8/10

Trope

Concession
ACCEPTED!!!!

Is it so hard to just admit you have a bad taste and like mid games? There is nothing wrong to like a westernslop like e33

You have to understand two things: a) gamers are extremely uncultured and generally young, so anything more sophisticated feels like high literature, b) people in general, but specially Americans, are xenophobic and racist as hell, these JRPGs and VNs don't even register to them because it's not western.
I'd vastly prefer the expedition plotline because at least it wouldn't devolve into the "it was all a dream" trope, but you present young people with simple emotions like sadness and they get instantly fascinated. It's no coincide many low budget video games deal with metaphors for depression, because it's easy to write and easy to impress people with.

Xenoblade 3 is good because Kirito cried!!!

I disliked Xenoblade 3 plot for the same reason I disliked E33 plot

Same. Based.

Game suffered from a massive plotchange halfway through development. So much that shit like this boss fight, which doesn't make any sense, was kept, I assume because it was already finished.
