What's its secret? Why won't it die?

Solid fundamentals, no frills, modern aesthetic

What's its secret? Why won't it die?

The gambling and money laundering it enables

bots and 3rd worlders grinding out pennies. Very few people are actually playing the game.

it's the slot machine of videogames and I don't mean the lootboxes or whatever although I'm sure that is a factor especially for thirdies

cs is a really really good spectator sport. The concept is super easy to understand for people getting into it, so it draws people in super easily

TF2: dead

Stopped reading there

I miss team deathmatch every fucking day

3rd worlders gambling on skins and being able to cash it out to rubles or rupee.

remove russoids

remove chinkbots

remove the remaining 1% of cheaters

and you get, more or less, valorant numbers

can run on Russian and Brazilian machines

Because of these.

file.png - 658x35, 10.95K

globalization was a mistake

How do you get this view?
It's a shame steam no longer shows the userbase by region anymore.

they need to add loot boxes and bajllion mtx

Gamalytic.

All of these games are very boring anyway or get boring fast, besides maybe some Halo campaigns, but how many times are you going play them anyway.
Planetside 2 is like one interesting fps game but even that has problems and is dying.
Shit genre.

russoids only 9%

every match I get seems to be mostly cheating russians

It's simple and easy to get into, but hard to master

people buying and selling skins

Solid fundamentals

except the netcode and cheaters lmao

no frills

children's casino?

modern aesthetic

looks liked shit?

valve saars blessead us with a shill thread mrmmm very good tyes

Because people dont touch the game
There are 100k players top
The rest are in the casino

Add other Russian speaking regions and you'll be looking at least 15%.

Thanks.
America still seems to be doing ok. CS2 probably helped revive that scene a little, it was quite grim at the end of CSGO.

>PUBG: dead outside of China

Factually incorrect. China makes up the most, but it's not even close to dead in the west. To me, dead is when you can't even fill up a six player match in a game. PUBG still easily fills 100 player matches within seconds, and you hear American and Euro voices on there all the time calling you fag.

Like 50% of those numbers are bots farming cases

I took saw the NakeyJakey video

No anti cheat.

Remove the idle farming bots and you'll see that only about 20% at best are real people playing the game.

OW2 isn't dead, has retained a solid playerbase and is even growing.

Blizzard torpedoed their competitive scene, Marvel rivals is ripping chunks of it, meta is terrible for years now, and gameplay is plain bad. Like every blizzard product whales keep it afloat, and those fish are fickle. Its dead, Jim.

Good, the comp scene was garbage. Rivals is dying rapidly. Say whatever you want but the game has retained its playerbase and has been growing in size. You are coping.

nobody really plays this game, it's just russians and other 3rd worlders grinding/botting a second wage

Good morning, Saar. Also, Anon Babble was founded by Americans

Valorant: already stagnating

Why do CS players cope so much over Valorant?

Climbed to be the second biggest game in Chinese pc bangs, behind League

Climbed to be the second/third biggest game in Korean pc bangs, behind League

Took most of the Asia region from CS

Took the SEA region from CS

Took the North America region from CS

Took the Central America region from CS

Took some parts of South America from CS

While CS is mostly Europe/CIS region game

easy to get into

No it's not.
CS is brutal for newcomers.

CS is just bots.

in cs you can play against someone better than you and maybe kill them sometimes if get lucky enough. In quake if you play against someone better than you you are getting royally fucked. CS was always more noob friendly and thats why it succeeded. A noob playing quake 3 wont even know how the fuck is he getting killed

battlefield: dead

WRONG
BF6 finna save the IP

Took most of the Asia region from CS

Took the SEA region from CS

Took the North America region from CS

Took the Central America region from CS

Took some parts of South America from CS

So basically the regions that never have a strong presence at any of the top tier CS events are moving over to the game where the competition isn't as strong.

So basically the regions that never have a strong presence at any of the top tier CS events

NA

SA

never have a strong presence at any....

You don't know what you're talking about.

Because it became like airsoft, it is gun cope for countries with gun restrictions

Call Of Duty is not meant to keep players. That's why they are releasing this shit every fucking year for 25 years now

NA CS has always been a joke and was always a fraction of the EU scene in playerbase and skill

I'll give you SA even though it's mostly irrelevant now.

NA CS is a joke. Just like their Dota scene. They pissed it all away so it's no wonder they jumped ship to the Valorant.
I give them 3 years before their scene implodes again.

can run on Russian and Brazilian machines

You need a decent machine to run CS2 well. Cs:go could run on anything thobeit.

CS2 is mostly money laundering through skins

because bots, third worlders and gambling. and valo numbers are even bigger! (not a riot bot btw)

OW2 isn't dead

Lmao

Thread should have ended here

Zero barrier to entry, can always blame teammates of course it's popular.
