Chinese customers do get benefit for reasonable prices (but I don't know complete details), but most GPUs are sent back to USA who then distributes worldwide, including back to Asia. So it costs more (plus their countries already placed tariffs).

When big publishers hike prices up, they go for less purchasing-power countries with low demand (South East Asia, India, Middle East, LATAM). There are few exceptions, like Capcom who favor LATAM and don't hike their prices as much.
