As weird as it was to see Alice deliver a flying kick to a cerebus right in its face, it ended up pretty tame compared to what went down in the later films.

By which I mean it's a remake that completely misses the point of the game it's remaking and drains every ounce of soul from it, butchers the art style, censors the gore and sexy costumes, and adds pointless edgy nonsene where none existed before.

The REmake is the best survival horror experience you can play with your own two hands. Shinji Mikami is legitimately a genius.

I like how these meme still persists despite the SH2 Remake having basically no swearing.
Knife isn't had when playing as Chris since he has more health and does more damage and Invisible mode isn't bad if you know the layout already and in rooms with mirrors and water, their reflections still show up.
Real Survivor mode as Chris is the real challenge

Recently played RE2make and it was nice I thought, tried RE3make and uninstalled after those tentacle head zombies hitting you from off-screen 10m away started appearing....
Maybe I should give REmake another try, because I've been itching for some more RE
Resident Evil's original formula was getting a bit stale by then coming off Code Veronica. Obviously RE4 was the big pièce de résistance but playing REmake back in the day reminded me why I loved survival horror games.
Aside minor visual nitpicks it was the perfect remake in every sense.
This was good as well.
REmake was a nice return to the horror atmosphere coming off of the campiness of Code Veronica. Even if it had the same art direction as REmake, Zero was way more on the campy side, and the item dropping always makes it a chore to try to replay.

we get not-Nemesis, boring piece of shit that barely does anything other than add in explanations we didn't really need
caves are expanded and made worse with the gay box pushing
Barry's survival is changed from subtle to a literal "Yes or No" choice
Hunters are nerfed and censored (no decaps, despite showing them in the trailers)
Tics are cut instead of being expanded on
Second Tyrant in Chris' campaign is cut and isn't even present in Hard mode or Real Survival
Arranged/Advanced Mode is cut
Battle Game is cut (and with it, zombie Wesker and Gold Tyrant)
costumes from all the older games are cut and replaced with two of the worst costumes in the series and admittedly decent costumes that reference RE3 and CVX
the white beretta from Arranged mode is cut
Minimi and Submachine Gun (PC ver.) is cut
the Library is completely butchered, the room overlooking the helipad is cut
MO Disc collection is dumbed down
Self Defense items are added to make the game easier

Well, they make one half-assed one. In the original game Bravo goes missing sometime in the afternoon/evening and Alpha goes looking for them the same day. In the remake there's a day in between to allow time for Billy and Becky's Bogus Journey.
Shame Capcom never did anything as fun as Crimson heads in the series again.
Didn't even try to give players the actual canon scenario the rest of the series is built on where Chris, Jill, Barry, Rebecca, and Brad all survive and escape
