some enemies are annoying close range, so hunter is a good choice for them + causing sleep and then swapping to merc for huge wakeup damage is a valid strat

merc is really good CC and DPS because the charge attack can cause knockdown

don't forget you can swap lives instantly, even in combat by using the dpad with your weapon sheathed

For some reason cutting down high level boss trees or catching boss fish gets me more excited than fighting actual bosses in this game. The crafting/gathering loop seems a lot tighter and requiring of good gear to succeed at which makes it more fun.

Also I appreciate that instead of getting new weapons you can keep crafting higher powered sticks for your shitty skill-less starter class. I think so that you can progress in the game without ever picking up a "real" combat class, which is super funny.
