Did you like Technikki's game?
Did you like Technikki's game?
I totally ignored this. What was the verdict? Is it like the other Mario RPGs where it's okay but too handholdy/overwritten?
I haven't bought it since I have another 5 bing bang wahoos in my backlog already.

immediate new thread
I can respect that
whats she do?
Yes.
It's your standard Mario & Luigi fare. The only surprising thing about it is that it doesn't bombard you with tutorials like the previous couple games.
Far from perfect but pretty good. Very enjoyable and it feels like a proper M&L game.
It's most glaring issues are related to pacing rather than handholding or similar.
Yeah I hope the team behind it can make a second M&L game because that one will be godlike.
It's
Its* fuck
I'm playing it rn and the first hour was full of tutorials/filler dialogue, still better than Dream Team tho
I had a pretty good time. The complaints are overblown and its a pretty content-rich game with some actual challenge to be found sprinkled throughout. Gloam was a pretty inspired status effect/debuff for M&L and buff for enemies. Bros moves saw a return to form, the characters were all mostly likeable and the music is a bit underrated. The environments are a bit forgettable and the pacing is wonky but I recommend it for fans of the series.
she cute
There goes Technikki. The biggest ASS who ever lived. What a douche.
fat fuck (affectionate)
fat fuck (derogative)
This is the game that people accuse Dream Team of being.
I agree that it's a little too long and the music is painfully forgettable outside of Shipshape Island and the fight themes but i had a lot of fun with it
Story and Characters are up to par with the series. Gameplay wise it didn't feel as polished and the music is terribly bland.
I've never seen or heard of anyone who picked Adaphne over Technikki towards the end. You'd have to be an asshole on purpose but I kinda want to see the former's version of the cutscene where Shipshape Island gets past the barrier.
I thought the gameplay was some of the best in the series.
and the music is terribly bland.
Frankly, I think the music music blew Shimomura's stuff out of the fucking water. BIS had a couple of pretty good overworkd tracks, but for the rest of the series the only real standout overworld tracks are Battle themes. Brothership has slightly weaker battle themes but wins easily in the overworld music.
The button pressing gimmick for attacking and dodging (esp dodging) felt off. Not to mention the atrocious dancing mini game that you had to complete to continue the story, I hate rhythm games thank god they showed mercy by letting yo skip them
I just love battle plugs man.
>The button pressing gimmick for attacking and dodging (esp dodging) felt off
Not to me, I think the game has the most creative and fun enemy patterns in the series. Luigi Logic popping up during boss fights was great.
It does make the progression a bit weird as in you're told to go enlist the aid of a super genius. Then when said genius goes to your base, you immediately tell her to fuck off.
Man, you can drop DEAD
It's somehow less handholdy yet more overwritten.
Technikki mating press
Well I think you're a big brother.
I liked it a lot. The game definitely had a lot of soul.
Children are usually entertained by most things.
Like i said in the other thread in just felt like a pointless padding mission. Esp when you get back and Technikki has already thought up her own idea and of course your going to pick her.
You had to reconnect Jellyfish Island anyway.
Slow, bad music, but the battles are... ok... Last thing I did was saving Luigi in a office building, and there are these kids who call themselves IDLE, and they afford absolutely nothing to the plot and yet they keep insisting in making them part of the plot... It's really not that fun of a M&L game.
It's unironically more technically impressive. If you pick Adaphne she sends her own impersonator to eat pizza on her behalf. And the others all hang out on the party island until they rescue you after escaping Zocket's fortress. Peach and Starlow hang out in the club while the kids hang out outside.
For me? It's Ireen.
Please respect IDLE, they died for our sins.
rape connie
I never got to give Ireen her mother's message.
Reclusa was a kino villain.
I just started playing it. It's okay. Not much story so it doesn't really drag like some of the previous titles. You're kind of just going around to different islands which function like a mini dungeons. I've only beaten the first boss and I wish I had more than one special move. Maybe something that could hit multiple opponents.
Stick with it, the game gets better and better as it goes on. It's very long but the last 10-something hours are absolutely amazing.
You won't make me fuck a power outlet no matter how many connie images you post
He was certainly the darkest villain to date. Even worse than the shroobs. that fucking beat down you give him at the end
Mario & Luigi VI: Searching for Friends
He just wants a friend...
I didn't even know this came out
tummy
Not a bad game, but id say the second worse in the series. So much shit just makes everything drag on too long. Game should be like 10 hours shorter, some of the characters are kinda annoying like the IDLE kids, Bowser doesnt show up till half way through the game and doesnt do anything so I dont even know why hes there, they go too hard on the gimmick/style of the game with everything having something to do with being electric in some way. The combat also lasts too long because theyre still doing the horde like battles and giving a lot of the enemies mini-game attacks which used to only be for bosses. And some of the bosses even last too long/take too long with their attacks like the final boss. Honestly like a 5/10 game, maybe 6/10 at the absolute best
Very mediocre but not the worst thing ever.
yes, i'd say it's my third favorite in the series
i just wish the beginning wasn't such a slog, it really takes a bit before the game really starts getting good
The 5/10 IGN gave the game was very generous, it's bad.
The combat also lasts too long because theyre still doing the horde like battles and giving a lot of the enemies mini-game attacks which used to only be for bosses. And some of the bosses even last too long/take too long with their attacks like the final boss.
Exactly. The Gameplay was terrible and weighed it down a lit. If I hadn't enjoyed the story so much I'd dropped it.
lora link?
it's nai4
No fawful, no buy.
Proper plug usage can really thin those hordes.
He literally died.
He's dead, anon, you have to move on
Somehow Fawfulfags have become worse that Genogoons. What a time to be alive.
For me it was the other way around. I really enjoyed the combat in this game even if I understand the criticisms against it. Story dragged it down for me, but I knew what I was getting into when the game's theme is power of friendship
"Press B, nigga!"
Presses A instead
Or you could’ve just cut it from the game entirely as it serves no purpose outside of this one mission. Not even any enemies to fight, you just talk to adaphne to convince her to join and that’s it. Again, it’s just useless padding
Youre right, but you wont have them every time. And Its something I just kinda dont like in general. I want the combat with normal enemies to be quicker, so I think there only being maybe 3 max at a time would be best.
I wouldn't say it's handholdy, but it takes way too long to get going, it takes a long ass time before you finally get a decent selection of bros moves.
Admittedly I haven't finished it. I reached the final stretch (at least, I think it is) and dropped it once it became apparent I was going to have to do a bunch of tedious fetch quests across the game world before being allowed to fight the final boss. It had already faked out the final confrontation twice by that point so I guess I was just burnt out.
less than 20% through the main game
This is surely an opinion worth listening to.
Top 3 in the series, for sure. Combat is excellent, the story is very well done outside some pacing issues early on, and the animations are wonderful. The music is a bit lacking, but there are several stand-out tracks that really stick with you. The world feels so alive bevause every NPC in the game has new lines with each story development, which more games need to implement.
I love Burnadette so much, I really thought she’d get more attention since she’s one of the major NPCs in the story.
yea that 20% is a slog BUT TRUST ME BRO ONCE YOU HIT THE 50% MARK IT’S TOTALLY WORHT IT
710258042
No
The first 20% is slower than expected, not a slog by any stretch. The game literally gets better as it goes on, yes. You don't need greentext for general truthful statements, for future reference.
Slim, smooth, toned tummy...
there are people who trust ""verdicts"" from fucking Anon Babble
holy fucking reddit, get your own taste
Concordia was a great setting for this game. I hope it gets referenced in a future M&L title, in spite of how slim the chances are.
heheh concord
whoa whoa whoa discussing a game on Anon Babble? opinions on Anon Babble? we can't have that. that's [other website]
Sometimes I dream of a world where people are constantly horny all the time and every tv show, movie, video game, etc. has fucking in it.
