Yeah its caused by scratches on the glasses. The more scratches the worse it is, so just clean them using warm water a clean finger and plain soap. On a new pair with antireflex youll never see this. And you wont without the glasses either.

Really? Even when I was a kid and all I knew were sodium vapor lamps I always thought they were abhorrent. Dad and I would semi-regularly hop in the truck to go shoot out the streetlight on the next street over with a pellet rifle we hated it so much. Well okay, it wasn't the color. We just wanted to use the telescope in the back yard and that light would just ruin any hope of letting your eyes adjust to the dark.
Eventually they put a shield on it but that was still a win because it focused all the light down and you couldn't see the lamp itself from the back yard. Good times. Nothing like commiting crimes with dad. We learned how to pirate vidya together too.

The lens in my left eye is the wrong shape. Squinting through a pinhole isn't going to fix it.

Everything I see through my left eye is overlayed with a permanent scattered, low opacity pseudo-kaleidoscope effect. Random flashing colored static everywhere. I can still use the eye, but reading text on a screen for example takes effort and it's useless in color recognition tests. Nothing can help me because the eye is perfectly fine, as tested by multiple doctors.
