2025, I am forgotten
Soulslike fatigue is finally setting in.
I saw some gameplay and it looked like some of the most tedious levels and bosses I've ever seen. Nioh 0.5: pure parryspam edition.
just another soulsclone
the demo was boring af
I am tired of soulslop with minor variations
You can kind of get away with not parrying at all actually
Absolutely fucking filtered. I’m starting to realize that white people just can’t hack into this genre anymore. No wonder you niggers troon out.
It was 100% too hard for most people. It's not a game you could outgrind and there's no one-shot OP builds. Spear comes online fast, but you still need to learn combos. Soulsfags are incapable of doing more than a light/heavy/weapon art.
None of the shitty games like this are even half as good as Nioh so why would I waste my time with it
it doesn't have to be parryslop, it can be i-frameslop instead
Sorry, but I played that AI doll anime game thing instead for my soulslop of the month. This game is now in the abyss called my backlog.
go back to Anon Babble
More like stun-lockslop
another hack n slash game with a strafe lock-on where 90% of fights are 1v1s with enemies that have infinite hyperarmor until you fill up some arbitrary gauge
infinite hyperarmor
You didn't play it
forgettable game
people forgot Ben Starr voiced Khazan because he also voiced Verso from a much more popular game that recently released
I'm playing it now and having fun
your fun is subjective and means nothing
enemies that have infinite hyperarmor until you fill up some arbitrary gauge
This is literally the opposite of how Khazan's combat works. Why do retards here make shit up about games they didn't play?
what weapon are you maining?
Played the demo. The boss was fine but everything else was mid. Soulless, generic dark fantasy aesthetic, boring level design, shit loot. I'll maybe play it one day if I get it from deep discount or bother to pirate it but I'm in no hurry.
I've been switching between all three. My stat distribution isn't optimal but I like being able to change my playstyle
if youre struggling ever just switch to spear since you get lmao2dodge
What exactly is “once bar is filled enemy kneels and cannot act until circle goes down and you can press o to execute” if not a stupid stagger bar mechanic?
You can stagger the vast majority of enemies without needing to deplete their stamina first.
look at final boss footage
he just hyperarmors through everything while attacking
Yep, it's shit. Devs can no longer make good enemy design without abusing hyperarmor to prevent stunlocking.
I would be over the moon for a dungeon fighter soulslike
IF
they went full-on into the over the top setting
khazan was basically just yet another dark fantasy setting
Once again, why do you feel the need to talk about games you haven't even played? Why don't you go do something more productive like repeatedly bang your head on a wall?
youre incredibly strong by the final boss and they give you a ton of heals plus you should know your weapons strengths to find openings
One of my favourite souls-like if you can call it that.
From needs to stop with the roll slop and makes something way more engaging for the player like Khazan. Actual combo, cool attack that you an actual use and not only one fucking weapon art that you barely use. More balanced turns too, you don't get those shitty fight where the boss gets to play 90% of the time while you're stuck rolling until you can finally put 2 light attack in.
I like it so far but I had to roll back my save to before Viper because of that treasure chest bug. Since then, I've beaten the niggercunt goat-deer faggot with the shitass hammer and chisel.
I played the demo, I’m NTA. More than one person can notice the mechanics in a game you dipshit. I thought the demo was OK but too much of the gameplay is tied into this mechanic you adamantly refuse to call stagger even though that’s what it is, and I was curious to see if you actually had any argument beyond “you didn’t play the game hurrrrr”
So it’s a stagger bar under a different name then?
exhaustion and stagger are two different things.
True gigachadlers play in French
More than one person can notice the mechanics in a game you dipshit
More than one person can be retarded also
Holy shit it’s too early for this level of autistic retardation.
There is no bar. If you've played the demo then you should know that Blade Phantom for instance staggers on hits out of neutral.
Gameplay was alright. But the story, setting and maps were really boring. Enemy variety was also shit.
Wait what's wrong with the level design? The submissions recycle the layouts but that's about it.
Nah dude, you are not winning this no matter how much you try to move the goalpost or pull the "uhm I'm actually not that first anon but I'll repeat the same stupid thing he did" card.
The original post was complaining that enemies have infinite hyperarmor until you deplete their stamina gauge/fill up an "arbitrary" bar which is just objectively wrong. As in that's literally not how the system works at all.
Every boss/enemy in the game can be staggered out of attacks or stunlocked without needing to deplete their stamina or exhaust them first. The entire flow of combat encourages you to be extremely aggressive and rush bosses down with combos without letting them do anything. This can actually be a con because "high level" play basically consists of keeping a boss stunlocked the entire time right from the start and gameplay more or less becomes combo practice after a certain point.
The game has a bunch of legitimate issues and valid complaints, but enemies having too much armor or not staggering is not one of them. Like someone else said, people on this board need to find something better to do with their time instead of pretending to play games just so they can shitpost about them.
I might remember about once it goes on sale with 75% off. But no promises.
Nioh but anime
Hard pass.
Put about 80 hours into it across 2 playthroughs and got Platinum. I know there's a NG++ but I don't really feel a need to do it since NG+ already felt like enough of a victory lap where I was completely destroying everything since you're massively overpowered in a second run.
The boss rush modes aren't for me. I cleared the first two sets of General's Crucible and got around halfway through Bloodshed but can't really be assed to complete either. Would probably push through it if the rewards were better, but from what I've seen they're just old gear with an MMO "golden glow" so I don't really have the motivation to go for them.
Fun game but there's not really much to talk about at this point. Hopefully it did well enough to get a full fledged expansion or sequel where they tackle a different class or add more weapon types.
Souls like is the most soulless, repetitive and tiring genre out of all the ways you can enjoy video games
There has not been single good souls like game, ever
It's not any harder than Elden Ring, for example, and ER sold extremely well. You can't chalk it up to the difficulty alone.
Team Ninja games are good. If you count them as soulslikes.
bosses have 20-30% too much health, especially the huge bosses. annoying as shit
It has denuvo. Wait a year and people will talk about it then
Nioh but anime
