- touch spells
- stamina usage per melee attack
- power attacks dmg toned down but power attacks can be combo'd into a chain
- light, medium, heavy armor
- A "glancing blows" system for attacks on armor, light armor has a 5% chance to shrug off dmg from a melee attack, medium armor 15%, heavy 25%
- power attacks can counter the glancing blows of armor, knock away a shield
- enchanted weapon damage toned way the fuck down, the higher the elemental damage the more it becomes an unstackable DoT dmg effect as in, once a troll is on fire from your enchantment, it cant become more on fire. (just download an easy mode mod if you dont like this babbies)
- grapple system for STR characters, holding block and pressing melee without a shield grabs and slams the enemy onto the ground, higher levels lets you send an enemy reeling, crashing them into each other and causing a stagger, has heavy stamina cost
- alchemy system from Oblivion where you cant craft a potion unless you can recognize the properties of ingredients
- customizable armor as in Fallout 4, tiered muffle system, armor dye, weight reduction, etc
- Acrobatics is now also a climbing ability, allowing nimble characters to scale right up walls
- Mage robes can hold as many enchantments as regular clothing can, as in gloves, boots, hat
- Destruction magic can now sneak attack
- illusion magic toned way the fuck down, can still command creature and enrage but is a channeled spell
ES6 wishlist
More well designed questslines, a mian quest that can't be finished in 30 minutes (what is the point of the rest of the game? LOL), a functioning economy, a grid based inventory UI and less side content bloat.
big ass creatures
Proper guild quests. Replaying Oblivion just reminded me of how dissapointing they were in Skyrim.
I'd like the divination spells back, especially detect enchantment for thieving. Use detect enchantment on a group of people and know which one has valuables worth pickpocketing.
a grid based inventory UI
i like it
Breast and butt slider
More creative dungeons. they always just copy paste the same layout for the most part with a couple of exeptions here and there. I wish that every dungeon was completely unique. It's a big ask but considering how expensive games are now we should atleast be getting what we pay for.
The inclusion of a rape skill tree.
- attractive female characters
- boob plate armor
- waifu companions like Lydia and Serena
- desert, jungle and tropical Island with naval combat
My biggest:
Hammerfell AND High Rock
Because I don't want to be around blacks the whole time, even fantasy ones. I need a refuge.
Also:
Sailing
Shift customization
Encounters on open waters (pirates/creatures/etc.)
Hopefully some kind of city or base construction/reconstruction ala Elder Scrolls: Blades (but better)
Better Magic (than Skyrim's)
Guilds that are not just shallow sidequests, but have more depth and complexity
Gameplay that is lived and experienced, not told almost entirely through words (Oblivion's weakest aspect)
Procedural generation kept to a minimum; dungeons and environments largely hand-crafted/hand-finished
Cities that are more than just 10 buildings
Towns that are more than just 4 buildings and a rock
Longer questlines than Skyrim's & questlines that branch out
Greater use of puzzles & interesting encounters & scripted events within dungeons
Bring back a little bit of Oblivion-style goofiness (just sprinkle a little here and there)
ESO allows you to make hourglass figures, it's a very good character creator but Fallout 4 went for the body slide so Im expecting ES6 to be woke like F4, mods will Indeed fix it though
*Ship customization
More neutral/beneficial random encounters to incentivize slow travel, also fast travel can be interrupted along the route by bandits and stuff. If you stand idle too long (including waiting) you can be pickpocketed by thief NPCs with a chance to carch them based on your own stats vs theirs.
It will be the wokest game yet, coming out in the most post-woke era possible
good idea
Having arabia and medieval france in one game sounds kino and would help against the sand or grass fatigue
grapple system for STR characters
Fake leak next test won't have stats.
Guild progression requires proficiency in the skillset they govern. You shouldn't be able to become archmage as some 30 IQ nigger barbarian that can only cast novice spells.
Wall-climbing and levitation
Proper first-person vampire-lord/werewolf forms
Wereboars and weresharks
Quest line that let's me become a lich
In depth spell-making system
3 Companions allowed at a time, and they interact with the environment and each other as you adventure together
Master level conjuration level-scaled companion versions of your various daedra, with expanded abilities and unique dialogue and voices
Master level necromancy resurrect a favored NPC as a vampire minion companion
Master level illusion, permanently mind-warp an enemy into a companion
Polygamy
More neutral/beneficial random encounters to incentivize slow travel
Definitely needed. Oblivion as an example is far too predictable. Nearly everything in the overworld not standing by a proper home or riding a horse instant-aggros you and it gets boring quickly
fast travel can be interrupted along the route by bandits and stuff.
KCD2 style fast travel with random encounters (sometimes unavoidable) would be really nice desu
If you stand idle too long (including waiting) you can be pickpocketed by thief NPCs
Maybe not everywhere, but near some sketchier areas (like Riften in Skyrim), pretty good idea actually sounds fun
Questline that let's me become a lich
Based. Liches are fucking cool.
Bring back the guy that wrote the good books and have him write all the books.
Literally just play Halls of Sovengarde modlist. It has all this in it already. Even the climbing though it doesn't require acrobatis obv.
Honestly, most of your ideas are complete ass.
I really wish Todd would just give us a teaser or something. It's been well over a decade now. Just a little nibble of something so we have an idea of what to expect.
Also adding to this:
No forced third-person perspective
because stop breaking my immersion,Todd
June of next year
It's torturous knowing this game will probably come out something like end of 2028
I want cool immersive shit like proper spellcrafting and proper armor/weaponcrafting with lots of cusotmization. Just build everything fully modular. It's not like it'll have good combat, so at least let us have fun with smithing/crafting autism. Same with housing etc.
Also, I hope they will support modding as with skyrim. Apparently starfield had some problems with that, they tried to be jews about it. I especially enjoyed the mods that let me capture and enjoy female bandits after defeating them
ES6 wishlist
That it comes out the same day as Wayward Realms and gets btfo so hard that Todd and Emil take a bunch of sleeping pills together and drive into a lake while holding hands.
the two things i always ask for but they will never improve upon. animations and plot/character writing
If we're being generous.
Todd here, I will now select the best ideas from the thread
Sailing
fuck yes
Polygamy
different wife for each player home, kino
fast travel improvements
yes please
Incremental gore
not be shit
todd leading
emil cuck lead writer
it's over
-A passable game
Wayward Realms is going to be shit too though
Why?
I've given up Beshartsda pulling off a compelling story/characters, so I hope they'll play to their strengths, and try to lean into making the physics and environments as real as possible, like to the extent that every grain of sand has definite dimensions and mass, and then build magic, quests, and combat out around that core design.
touch spells
You mean spells on the player that have an effect when the opponent melee attacks? The only 2 that really make sense to me are lighting yourself on fire and covering yourself in lightning armor
stamina usage per melee attack
kinda fair? Like daggers shouldn't it's a fuck dagger but 2-h weapons fair
power attacks toned down damage but combos are a thing
It sounds nice but how do you do combos without it being a QTE? Only having one power attack is meh but QTE's would be shit
light, med, heavy armor
I mean we have that in skyrim arguably. making them more meaningful would be nice but that also means putting limitations on so there isn't a 'best'
glancing blows
ehh just being a flat % is meh, light/med armor should use acrobatics for this heavy armor should just be learning how to take a hit better
enchanted weapon damage
Very fair
grapple system
same as the combo stuff i'm not sure how they'd do this without QTEs
alchemy system from oblivion
Okay, but only if you actually have to do stuff for alchemy instead of like oblivion where i just know everything once i hit lvl 25,50,etc that's worse than Skyrim/ESO where you test shit and see what happens....
Customizable armor
fair
acrobatics
Would probably require a shit ton of stuff in the world, i'd say tie it in to armor/run speed/
Mage robes can hold multiple enchantments
I'd rather they just make the other clothing options look like they fit with the mage robes
destruction magic can sneak attack
Fuck no
illusion magic toned down
It is rather odd that the best destruction perk is in that tree.
I hope it doesn't have a shitty skill tree like Skyrim.
Bethesda hasn't made a good game since Skyrim. ES6 is going to suck.
how do you do combos without it being a QTE?
?? You just do another attack within a certain time frame and if you hit the window before the enemy hitstunnends and they counter then you go into the next piece of the combo. Why the fuck would you go right to QTE?
That anon is clearly some weirdo ESO/Stardew Valley player. How hard is it to understand HOLDING BLOCK and then PRESSING MELEE = a grab. A quick-time-event has nothing to do with anything.
True. Their games have been atrocious lately.
Just do it like MGSV, that was simple and effective. Make it less flashy
Personally I'd like to see a combat system like Smash where there's no bullshit fatigue meter but instead you just have to balance windup and endlag vs opponent hitstun. Give lots of attack options and mix and match them as you like.
Regardless of how the game plays you all know you're just gonna go stealth archer anyway.
enemies don't become sponges with billion health
better more engaging melee combat
Fast travel should be restricted to roads and signposts
You should start the game with an incomplete map and if you don't buy new region maps your fast travel is restricted to the locations that the signposts outside the city gates give you
you should be forced to walk places, or spend a lot of early money to buy maps
Fast travel should also be Fallout 1&2 style, where your character is shown actually travelling along the roads from a high view. You can be ambushed en route by various parties, depending on factors like factions you've pissed off, enemies who hire assassins, or if you travel through a dangerous area etc.
this removes the feeling of teleporting around, and makes it more like an actual journey
it also adds some permanence so being ambushed feels better, versus if you come out of your load screen except you're being attacked instead of where you wanted to be
Obviously system mechanics overhaul to give the game engaging combat, and expansions to the world and so on
lmao yeah right enjoy playing the same game over yet again
- Greatswords need to be swung more easily and swiftly than warhammers and great axes. If you've even touched a greatsword IRL, you know that it doesn't handle like a big club
- Add polearms like spears, halberds etc.
- Remove the materials requirement for sharpening your weapons. You don't need an ingot IRL to sharpen a fucking sword.
- Make it so you can actually avoid getting hit, either with a dodge mechanic or faster movement, remove enemy aimbot-like aim.
- Make blocking cost stamina-only.
- Make enemies do more than just come at you in a straight line.
- Make the fantasy weapons and armor less ridiculous-looking.
None of that will be in ES6.
touch spells require you to be within "touching" distance of the target to cast instead of being a ranged cast
so they're cheaper magicka wise due to this
LUST PROVOKING IMAGE GO!!!
Now that I have your attention, here's somethings I'd like to see.
Armour perks being more conducive to mixing and matching armor of different weight classes.
Fallout-esque limb crippling system.
More varied armor progression with different styles providing different bonuses and penalties (ie. Dwemer and Orcish are of the same tier with Orcish being stronger but Dwemer being more conducive to enchanting)
Underrail's crafting system. Just steal it wholesale
I hope Conjuration magic as a whole is banned in the next game. You daedra summoning freaks should be rounded up and thrown in a dungeon.
don't worry in es6 there will only be combat, stealth, magic with a single skill tree for each
I hope they don't force you to equip spells in your hands before you can cast them, the quick casting in Oblivion is so much better. You can even cast while two-handed in that game while in Skyrim you gotta put away your weapon and menu a whole bunch to cast spells, it sucks.
Also they need to bring back spell crafting and maybe add some some melee equivalent, like "move crafting"?
simplified dialogue (reading takes too much time and Fallout 4’s was perfect)
more radiant quests since it’s infinite content
high fidelity graphics (only poorfags complain)
more dungeons
simpler level progression (skills are too complex just make everything about perks)
Todd to shit directly into my mouth as a preorder bonus
Perfect game right here.
And I hope it comes back even stronger, I want to summon Daedric princes again
lot of dungeons
A system for random unique loot. Just a small chance for multiple enchant effects on the same item with a procedural name. Then lock that combo (enchants+material) out of the loot table.
