Low endbros, how are we holding up?

I'm still using my 1650 Super 4GB, still plays everything I want to play.

Png (6).png - 1000x1000, 201.49K

Ever thought youvd wanna try other games if you had the hardware?
Sounds like you are coping.

3050m

porosad.png - 496x494, 155.1K

I still have a RX580 but I ordered a 9070Xt that should arrive early next week.

same, based

I have yet to up from the GTX 1070 I got for GTA5

im playing the clair obscur game on my GTX 1050ti

yeah old games are better but the feeling of not being able to run new games at all sucks big time.

1660 TI

im kinda thinking about upgrading, windows has been pretty horrible to me lately and i'm probably going to switch to linux

Last year I upgraded from a 1060 3GB to a 3060 12GB. Enjoying it so far.

bump

gtx 1080. i'll wait until gta 6 is out on pc probably

i'm still using my msi gtx 970, still plays just about everything i want to play. i really need to upgrade soon...

Last year I upgraded from a 1060 3GB to a 3060 12GB.

Same, except I had a 6GB model. Worked like a champ still.

The biggest upgrade was going from the i7-2600K + 16GB DDR3 + matching mobo with PCI-E 2.0, to a more modern Ryzen 5 5600X + 32GB DDR4 + B550 Pro motherboard with PCI-E 4.0. People seldom talk about how much difference the faster PCI-E port has to performance.

Great. I don't play nu games and usually they are fine but not optimal.
Oblivion Demaster runs with engine.ini config at locked 30 fps @ 1080p (xess balanced) with reshade sharpening and folor correction and every review said that cannot be done... Just finished installing mods and beginning my first run in ages.
I'd post a screenshot but I'm afk.
Sure I'm overclocking and undervolting too.

Anyways will get a new gpu when I need one for my work. Games wise I'm fine so far. Just stop playing jew AAAA trash and always online gaas.

My 980ti is enough.

RX 590
Got it on a sale for 200 euro. Still does anything I throw at it since I don't play UE5 slop. Instinctively I feel like I should upgrade, but there's just no point atm.

/poo/ general?

It's hard to answer because there's FOMO to make you care more about games you'd otherwise pass without a second glance.

How is it holding? My RTX 3050 6GB already seems quite blurry.

More like /adult/ general, you little underage fuckwit.

Don't know if 1660 Ventus 06 is low end, but still works very well in all fields

3060 Ti

Does a five year old midrange card count as "low end"? If so I'm still rocking this baby on 1080p, thinking of upgrading when the PS6 comes out

It's sad to give up on components that still work.

So you’re an old jeet still playing video games? Why dont you help your family run the liquor store like a good poo?

Getting a lot of mileage from my 780M integrated graphics

I'm on an rx470 with 8gb of RAM and an i5-3550 ^_^

I can still play every game I want to with rx 580 at 1080p. Mostly because like this anon I don't play UE5 shit

gtx 960, maybe want to buy a new pc in the summer

I MUST CONSOOM

You sicken me.

I wrote Im still using a 2070 and got laughed at in a thread yesterday. Imo it's not even that bad, beat and played kcd 2, expedition 33 and blue prince with it. Mostly on medium settings, kcd 2 I left on default it was really well optimized.
I wouldn't even know what to upgrade to

please stop responding to blatant newfaggotry

Which one is the bottleneck more often?

7800x3d + 4060ti 16gb

I have almost the same thing except that it's 980ti. Never felt the need to upgrade until Oblivion Remastered which is sadly unplayable but I'm also not paying 500+ to play Oblivion lmao

I bought a Legion Go for $450 and it literally outperforms my 1650 laptop

I have a 7900 XTX for work, but my main PC only has a 1660 Ti because the most demanding game I've played in the past few years is PoE.
When I want to play something the 1660 Ti can't run I will upgrade.

My 1050ti still runs all the stuff i play usually:

WarThunder

Project Zomboid

Source games

SS13

Outside of those i play indie games, though i really wanna upgrade soon but i don't want to give my fucking kidney for a high end one, so i've been thinking on going for a 2080 or 3060.

Upgraded to a 9070xt with a 9700x and it's been kino. Only thing that sucks is losing DLSS since many games don't have native support for FSR4 yet much less FSR3.1 like fortnite where it would been great

Similar here, except the super model. Granted I dont use the raytrace function because it makes my pc sound like a freight train. last games I ran on it were RE4make and Doom Eternal. Now I'm on a duke nukem craze.

I'm gonna get at least another 8 years out of my 3060ti. Like everyone else, it plays the games I want to play.

computer runs slow and it seems to be the graphics card

upgrade to 1660 from 970 a few weeks ago

not much of a difference

finally realize the problem is running Nvidia on Linux, not the card itself

3060ti can run every new game on recommended, I wouldn't call that low end. Avowed is probably the only unoptimized garbage trash game you can't play on recommended graphics, but then again the only retards that would ever even consider playing that game are people who always buy new cards on release for whatever reason

Got a 4060 laptop on the cheap, was an upgrade from 1660ti laptop. It runs great, can even handle UE5 slop, not that I play much of that (DLSS looks like absolute garbage but it runs alright). Shame they make undervolting such a total bitch these days.

Is 1080 considered low end? I can still play a lot of games even newer at 1440 just not most of the big budget shiny ones. Upgrading is getting desirable but I'm hearing 5xxx is the generation to skip. The market is such a clusterfuck.

lol I got a used PC with a 2060 for 300 bucks because my toaster laptop I used for work died
Figured I didn't even play a recent game since 2018 or so, might as well look for something to play right, BUT THERE ARE NO FUCKING GAMES LMAO
THE ABSOLUTE FUCKING STATE LMAO
So I play StarCraft in 4k

got a very cheap 3060 TI a year of so ago to replace my 970gtx and i plan to ride this thing until it catches fire
I can play anything at high or ultra@1080p which is all my monitor has so....
If i can find a cheap 1440p screen i bet this gpu can handle that too at mid/high
So as far as im concerned im set for a few years.

That'll definitely be the game that forces a large percentage of people to upgrade. It won't be optional if they want to play it.

1080 Ti

Just barely hanging on. If the 5080 had 24 GB VRAM, I would have gotten that by now, but Nvidia is fucking retarded so I have to wait for the Super refresh.

If it even happens

That's a cope. Having a modern GPU that can run modern shit without a sweat is always nice. That said you can really extend the life of a lowend or older card by locking the framerate to 30, boom, suddenly you can play the latest AAA slop on medium. Sure that sucks but you get used to it after 10min or so.

I'll get ps5 so it depends if gta 6 is good or not, if gta 6 sucks i'll keep using my current pc and spend my money on something else

Same, got one last year for a 100 euros and can play any game i want at high. Post 2019 slop is irrelevant.

Did you fixed it?

GTX 1050 Ti embedded

I have a Deck and even it feels like it's on par in terms of performance with this seven year old laptop, which is disappointing.

I have an i5 6700 and rtx3090 that I somehow managed to get for $200 because it had scratches on the casing and the led was broken.

Completely out of balance build. Cpu is a bottleneck so I still play at 40fps while cpu sits at 100% usage and the GPU at like 10-20%

lol

Too poor to upgrade. I use the gpu for AI as a coping mechanism

It has already been leaked and it will drop at the end of this year or near the start of next year. A year after launch at the latest. Regardless, anyone could have seen this from a mile away.

With how low inventory is (artificially) made to be, how does one even get one of these when they release? I've never bought new GPUs before.

I still have my 1070, everytime I think I can't run something I get surprised

Upgrading your PC is an endeavor that's meant to be done every 5 years at the minimum. You're just being needlessly obstinate if you don't even bother experiencing the latest technological advancements that life has to offer.

Why live life harder than it already is?

still plays everything I want to play.

Your definition of "everything I want to play" is governed precisely by what your card can and cannot do.

Finally upgrading from my 1060 to a 5070ti this weekend. Ill continue to play indie pixel games and watching youtube

Sure that sucks but you get used to it after 10min or so.

Boomertard cope

Nope.

Meant by whom? If it were up to the GPU manufacturers, people would upgrade every generation. Don't inflate the importance of random opinions.

Thats Cope

Mid end probably for 2 more years

trvke

I'm so glad I'm not poor, bros. Put effort into your life. Get some disposable income. Money and consuming isn't life, but being able to engage in your favorite hobbies without thinking too much about it is worth it.

Nope. Cope is buying new games you don't actually like just so that you can justify your shiny new GPU.

I like thinking thank you very much. Also I like to use things until they are completely spent and no longer useful for anything.

Cap, zoomers don't even have money for a modern gaming PC, y'all broke af fr fr

tbqhwyf in 2025 anything older than an RTX 2060 is pretty much spent

2060 here.
The one game that I had been interested in that would have warranted an upgrade turned out to be a wet fart (dragons dogma 2), so I don’t really care for upgrading right now. Especially that upgrading my GPU would also mean I’d need to upgrade my CPU to keep up with it, which would probably also mean I’d need ought to get a new motherboard, and power supply and so on and so on. I’ll just wait it out until some game I’m actually excited about comes out and just buy a whole new setup.

Not yet. Still thinking up a way to keep the 1660 from being a waste of $100.

I will continue upscaling from 540p with FSR ultra performance and you can't stop me

Market is fucked. There's no more power or fidelity to be had from cards without creating cards that require immense cooling and power consumption. Basically, power efficiency peaked 3 generations ago, and now all that's being developed are power hungry cards that run very hot because they're eating 500+ watts of power under load, conservatively.

This is compounded by misguided or simply inept developers who do not optimize the performance of their games. If they used $10k worth of hardware to develop and run a game, well that's good enough for the average consumer as well and fuck optimization. The hellscape that PC gaming is headed towards is that you won't have low or mid range options for GPUs. You'll have overpriced bricks on the cheap end, something that still costs about $750, and then you'll have functional cards in the range of $3k-5k for consumer, "non enthusiast" models.

Gaming is headed toward being a luxury hobby if you leave it in the hands of AAA.

Videogames ARE a luxury hobby. Always been.

No, what a stupid thing to say. A hobby that costs a few hundred dollars a year, at most, is not "luxury". That's where consoles started, and roughly stayed that way. It's where PC gaming started as well.

PC gaming, if you keep up with hardware, is easily a 5 figure hobby annually. That's a luxury hobby.

buying nvidia low end

genuinely useless and a waste of oxygen

I've been looking to upgrade and to me, the big thing for low end gaming is that you can no longer really skimp on the CPU like we used to. These new games are too CPU intensive so it makes the cost of a new rig a lot higher. 1080p gaming is impacted the most by having a shit CPU so it really sucks.

2080

I cried when the new Doom game went to 40fps during intense fighting, even with everything on low and 900p

Biggest upgrade was leaving the damn 2600k lmao. That was me upgrading from my old one about a year ago.

Going from a 2011-2012 4c/8t cpu to a modern 8c/16t (or higher) cpu is like living in the future, today.

AMD lowend is even more worthless and Intel lowend needs resizable bar.

I’m thinking of swapping out my GTX 970 for an RX 5600. Thoughts? Prayers?

Ryzen 5600g + RX 6600 XT (used)

boot any game

CPU temp raises to over 70°C/160°F depending on how much it works

It has been some months since i bought it and it does the job really good, i managed to play Nier Automata and other games, but it has become an issue i have to check regularly. It doesn't help that i accidentaly took the processor forcefully from the socket when i was installing the card and bent 2 pins in the process, that i successfully straighten later

gtx 1050 ti

i5-3470

16gb ram ddr3 1600mhz

1.25tb storage

life good

Anons, you should upgrade. Not because you need to replace your cards, but because when the time arrives to upgrade your cards, everything will be a lot more expensive than it is now. Cards are only going to go up in price, it has been the trend ever since the 30xx, it will continue to be.

>CPU temp raises to over 70°C/

70c is perfectly fine. Thermal throttling is at 100c.

If this is the case then we'll likely see a re-emergence of consoles, and/or this is when streaming games a la google's failed experiment that I can't even remember the name of. But I suppose even if that's true the proliferation of 'good enough' hardware especially in the smartphone market means we'll still have options, just maybe not the best ones.
Hopefully Tamriel Rebuilt is done in about 10 years because I can see myself playing almost exclusively that for many years.

What's a good case with good airflow that doesn't have stupid RGB or glass panels?

>Ryzen 5600g + RX 6600 XT (used)

that's not low end, gtfo this thread

Functioning adults don't play video games with poorfag tier GPUs. Anything below a 3070 is owned by thirdies or literal children who don't play anything other than Roblox and Fortnite.

Gaming is headed toward being a luxury hobby if you leave it in the hands of AAA.

More like the home-pc market is not viable anymore, and will inevitably inch its way towards a cloud-OS/service for the normie masses. These prices will hike and the markets will shrink, regardless if people buy the hot new AAA game or not.

To have the legacy pc hardware for stuff like hobby/work shit, will be an actual flex in the distant future.

The hellscape that PC gaming is headed towards

It's been there ever since you had to choose between Windows 10 and Linux.

I hate this but I suspect it's going to happen.

I will keep waiting until my card dies
no

yeah i don't think it's a coincidence that with gpu prices increasingly massively, nvidia has geforce now as an option. it keeps ai capabilities out of the hands of most consumers but still allows them to consume vidya.

3090letbros, how are we doing?

Soulless business admin types all think alike. And the idea of permanent subscription models with low hardware requirements makes them salivate. Why wouldn't they be actively pushing for this? The Chinese potentially undercutting the fuckers is perhaps our only hope in the long run.

Fractal Design North or Pop with solid side panel

You can get a medium-end AMD gpu for the similar price of a Nvidia low-end. AMD is more generous with its VRAM in general(except the newest 9060 with its shitty 8gb ofc). If you're an actual poorfag you could've saved for another year or two to get a decent medium-end Nvidia GPU that will last longer than your shit VRAM xx50 or xx60 but I wouldn't have to say this if you had a brain anyways.

I think it's a good thing. Making access to hardware harder for poors and especially jeets is the only way now especially when droves of them gain access to the Internet daily.

9600XT soon bro

1660 super here, i've been thinking about switching to an intel gpu, they seem to have the best performance for the price but awful compatibility

I want to play Wilds so I bought a 5060
Shit mail service is taking too long so im still stuck on my 1070

with how good ai is getting right now(ie those videos google showed off a day or 2 ago of AI streamers), i think keeping that out of reach of most consumers is part of the goal too. nvidia is very clearly gimping vram on their cards and i think this is part of the reason for that.

It's luxury in a sense it's not neccessary for living.

especially when droves of them gain access to the Internet daily

Most of them use smartphones for that so it wouldn't change much. Decent PC hardware is already way out of their scope, if you want to gatekeep people like them from being online at all you'd have to make poo tier phones more expensive.

3080 10g here

using a 4k oled 240hz monitor

i am struggling
my 7800x3d is basically doing alle the work now

Almost the entirety of the Switch library is 30fps and often less than that. You'd have a point if it's something that disappeared a decade ago but 30fps is still alive and kicking

just save two years and play no games for ~3% of you life

Nah.

Dunno my lowend is sitting at a comfortable 95hz cutoff

1660S

Can still play the newest games at 1080p and 40-60 fps. But everything is set to low + FSR.

You can get a medium-end AMD gpu for the similar price of a Nvidia low-end.

No you can't. AMD is content by making their cards some 50 buck cheaper than their closest NVIDIA equivalent, which isn't enough to cross the gap between low-end and medium.

Stop being a retard. Writing off every expense that isn't food or water as "luxury" isn't true to the definition of luxury. Anyone who isn't homeless and surviving off scraps is not living a life of luxury. What a dumb fuck thing to say.

this nigga runs a computer with sub 100Hz CPU Clock Rate

I kneel

With the way things are going I would argue that entertainment has become a necessity for living, at least for not going insane. If you took away the Netflix, the Youtube, the vidya, the porn and the goyslop away from the wagies you'd have a revolution.

Oh yea I forgot you monkeys die early so it's more like 10% of your lifetime lmao.

Games are not only cheaper if you upgrade/buy later but you get to enjoy them at a higher and stable framerates and resolution

instead because I have absolutely no discipline I will get the worst of both worlds and have a shittier experience while paying more

lmao you do you.

All you do is just parrot Youtuber talking points. Anyways get fucked lmao.

I´m still using my GTX 1060 6GB just because i can.

It's literally the definition of luxury. A layman might use it as a synonym for extravangant.

I'm wrong but you're a monkey! REEE

Shut up, ape. I'd rather deal with an orangutan than the likes of you.

Anon Babbleros, is RX6600 low end yet? r/etards from PCMR say it's a shit card and I shouldn't give my opinion on graphics, but I think they eat shit thinking only 3000$ GPUs are worth (big scam).
